Design duo Rimple & Harpreet unveil Muse in the Studio, a storytelling-driven campaign that merges the grandeur of costume design with the elegance of couture. Featuring acclaimed actress Wamiqa Gabbi, the visual narrative explores the emotional world of a fictional 1960s diplomat's wife, Mrs. Geetha Rai, as she navigates solitude, memory, and unspoken desires.
Styled by Rimple Narula, the shoot unfolds within the intimate setting of an artist's studio, designed to evoke both nostalgia and emotional vulnerability. Gabbi's character awaits the return of a painter-lover, moving through a space filled with vintage artefacts, oil paintings, and fading sunlight, reflecting on lost passion and restrained longing.
Renowned for their work in period epics like Padmaavat, Heeramandi, and the upcoming Ramayana, Rimple & Harpreet bring that cinematic richness to this deeply personal campaign. The wardrobe bridges eras and emotions, featuring hand-embroidered jackets, sequinned saris, lace-inspired lehengas, and Victorian accessories. Archival looks are paired with contemporary silhouettes, crafting a timeless style narrative.
The mise-en-scène—decorated with dramatic drapes, antique furniture, and layered textures—heightens the theatrical yet introspective tone. Through Gabbi's performance, the garments become vessels of memory and resistance, transforming fashion into a medium of storytelling.
