Coronation Street Sue Nicholls' real age leaves fans floored after Audrey's big birthday

Coronation Street's Audrey Roberts, played by Sue Nicholls, recently celebrated a birthday on the soap and fans have been left shocked after realising the actress' real age Coronation Street viewers have been left stunned after discovering the actual age of Sue Nicholls, who portrays beloved character Audrey Roberts. ‌ Audrey first appeared on the cobbles back in 1979 as Gail Platt's mum (Helen Worth), and has since become an absolute favourite amongst fans, featuring in numerous major storylines. ‌ Throughout the decades, audiences have experienced both heartache and happiness alongside Audrey, witnessing her wedding to Alf Roberts (Bryan Mosley) in 1985 and mourning his devastating passing in 1999. ‌ Fans have also watched Audrey evolve into a great-grandmother to characters such as Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon), whilst seeing her collaborate with grandson David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) at Audrey's hair salon. ‌ More recently, she was left heartbroken when daughter Gail departed the cobbles last year following 25 years on the street, embarking on a fresh chapter in France with husband Jesse Chadwick (John Thompson), reports Leicestershire Live. During this week's episodes, Audrey marked her 85th birthday with a special meal at The Bistro, surrounded by her family including grandchildren Sarah (Tina O'Brien) and David. ‌ Yet fans have been absolutely flabbergasted upon learning actress Sue's true age. On a Corrie Facebook fan page, discussing character Audrey's recent birthday festivities, one person posted: "Aw, happy 85th birthday Audrey!". ‌ Another fan responded: "She looks good for her age, Sue who plays her is 81 in real life." A third viewer exclaimed: "No way!". Meanwhile, a fourth admiring fan declared: "She's barely aged." Before her time on Corrie, Sue had a hidden singing career and landed her first soap role in the legendary Crossroads. In 1968, she released a track titled 'Where Will You Be?', which climbed to number 17 in the UK Music Charts, and it's said that she also performed in a cabaret club in Vienna during her younger years. She became a familiar face on our telly, featuring in 'The Rise and Fall of Reginald Perrin' alongside Leonard Rossiter from 1976-1979, and as Nadia Popov in 'Rentaghost' from 1981-1984.

Tadpole reincarnated for Go Live Festival

Another well-known Kiwi rock band has been added to the Go Live Festival line-up in Christchurch. Tadpole was a mainstay of the early 2000s New Zealand music scene, with their triple-platinum debut album The Buddhafinger hitting No 2 on the NZ Music Charts. The Auckland-based band will play in Ōtautahi for the festival on August 23. They are one of 13 acts to play across four stages at the Christchurch Town Hall. "This is our second show in Christchurch with our new singer Lauren Marshall, and we'll be playing all the well-known hits with some brand-new ones," said Tadpole drummer Dean Lawton. Marshall joined Tadpole in 2024 as the band reformed with core members Dean Lawton, Chris Yong on guitar, Shannon Brown on bass and DJ Kritikl, who had a brief stint with the band in 2000. The line-up, previously fronted by Renee Brennan, has changed several times since the band was formed in 1994 and disbanded in 2006. "To be honest, I thought it would have been really hard reconnecting as a band and adding a new member after 20 years, but for some reason it feels like we never stopped! Lauren just fits in like she's been there the whole time,' Lawton says. The resurgence of the band began in 2022 with the release of The Tadpole Collection (1994–2006) – all three Tadpole albums plus Remains of the Day, a collection of 12 previously unreleased, remastered tracks. Tadpole will play at the Go Live Festival in Christchurch on Saturday, August 23. Photo: Supplied / CCC The band have several festivals lined up over the summer and a new album on the way. "We can't wait to start dropping singles at the end of the year. "The new material we are writing together feels like the songs of old. Our music is high energy and will punch you in the face." The 2025 show will feature 'an incredible line-up of both homegrown and national talent,' Christchurch City Council manager of events and art Lucy Blackmore previously said. The Go Live Festival, produced by Christchurch City Council, is on Saturday, August 23, from 7pm-11pm. Tickets are $35 plus booking fees. For more information and the full line-up list, go to

(Photo byfor Morgan Wallen's One Night At A Time 2024) Morgan Wallen's new album I'm the Problem is on track to lead the Billboard 200 for a sixth consecutive week when the company refreshes its rankings tomorrow (Tuesday, July 1). More than a dozen of the tracks featured on the full-length are still present across a variety of Billboard rankings, and likely will be for weeks to come. Americans are still finding time to listen to one of his No. 1 smashes, which is now well over a year old. As millions of people stream and buy 'I Had Some Help,' the tune continues to appear on the charts as well. Its popularity has helps the track break out of a tie within Wallen's own discography. Morgan Wallen's Third-Longest-Charting Hot 100 Hit 'I Had Some Help' has now lived on the Hot 100, the most competitive songs tally in the United States, for 58 weeks. By holding on, it breaks out of a tie with Wallen's own 'Wasted on You.' Both tunes had been matched as the country singer-songwriter's third-longest charting successes, with each claiming 57 frames apiece until this frame. Now, 'Wasted on You' has been pushed to fourth place within his catalog in terms of the longest stays on the Hot 100. 'You Proof' and 'Last Night' Only two other tunes by Wallen have lived on the Hot 100 for longer stays, and 'I Had Some Help' isn't far behind either of them. The Grammy nominee's sturdiest hit remains 'You Proof,' which racked up 62 appearances on the tally, while 'Last Night' managed 60 just a few months after 'You Proof' peaked. 'I Had Some Help' Rises on the Hot 100 'I Had Some Help' rises from No. 15 to No. 13 on the Hot 100 this frame. Billboard has a rule stating that after a full year on the chart, songs must remain above No. 25, or else their time on the tally is over. The duet, which features both Wallen and Post Malone, debuted in first place in May 2024, and has been a hit ever since. It may very well continue to appear on the Hot 100 for several more weeks — if not months — as it remains one of the biggest songs in the country. 'I Had Some Help' is a Streaming, Sales and Radio Hit 'I Had Some Help' is being supported by every consumption metric that fuels the Hot 100. The track lives at No. 14 on the all-genre Streaming Songs chart and dips slightly to No. 22 on the Radio Songs ranking. It's also still performing well on some pop radio stations and on a number of Billboard's country-only tallies.

J-Hope's Winning Streak Continues With Another No. 1

J-Hope and GloRilla's 'Killing a Girl' debuts at No. 1 on two U.K. charts, marking his third ... More chart-topper of 2025 and tenth solo win on multiple lists in the country. PARIS, FRANCE - JUNE 24: J-Hope attends the Louis Vuitton Menswear Spring/Summer 2026 show as part of Paris Fashion Week on June 24, 2025 in Paris, France. (Photo by) Throughout 2025, J-Hope has been releasing single after single after single — and at this point, he's grown accustomed to reaching No. 1 with his solo tunes. The BTS talent has racked up multiple champions in just the past few months, and he adds to his growing list of winners with "Killin' It Girl," his recently-released collaboration with hip-hop superstar GloRilla. As that tune arrives in the United Kingdom, J-Hope keeps a winning streak going that began months ago and has yet to be interrupted. "Killin' It Girl" Launches at No. 1 "Killin' It Girl" launches at No. 1 on half of all the U.K. charts on which it debuts. The track kickstarts its time on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads rankings at No. 1. J-Hope earns his fourth leader on both rosters, and his third of 2025. So far this year, "Sweet Dreams" with Miguel, "Mona Lisa," and now "Killin' It Girl" have led the charge. J-Hope landed his first No. 1 on the two purchase-focused rankings in April 2024, when "Neuron," his collaboration with Gaeko and Yoon Mi-rae, easily landed in the penthouse. J-Hope's Years of Hit Songs A year before "Neuron" arrived, J-Hope narrowly missed the No. 1 spot on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts by just one space – but he managed to reach a new high point in the process. "On the Street," which credits both J-Hope and J. Cole, peaked in the runner-up spot. The BTS singer and rapper has collected a total of seven top 10 placements on the Official Singles Sales chart and one additional smash on the downloads-only tally. "Killin' It Girl" earns him his milestone tenth appearance on both rankings. A Competitive Week on the Charts "Killin' It Girl" almost debuted at No. 1 on a trio of tallies, but instead the cut is forced to settle for the runner-up spot on the Official Physical Singles chart. On that ranking, J-Hope comes in behind Scottish rock group Biffy Clyro, as that band's latest track "A Little Love" wins the week. As it launches, "Killin' It Girl" does earn J-Hope and GloRilla their first top 40 smashes on the Official Singles chart, the most competitive songs tally in the U.K., where it enters at No. 30.
