Alice Cooper urges Oasis brothers to avoid squabbles during reunion tour: 'Hope it lasts'
Rock legend Alice Cooper has weighed in on the long-awaited reunion of Liam and Noel Gallagher, urging the Oasis brothers to keep the peace as they embark on their first tour together in 16 years. 'The Oasis Live '25 Tour, which began in Cardiff on July 4, is set to wrap with two shows in São Paulo this November. Cooper on band longevity: Keep peace, skip the stress In an interview with The Times, Cooper reflected on what it takes to maintain a band, especially when it involves family. He noted that staying apart without completely severing ties is sometimes the healthiest path and hinted that the Gallagher brothers' reunion would be more successful without conflict. Cooper added that watching the pair in interviews and on stage often felt tense, cautioning against letting stress derail the journey. Liam and Noel take it 'one day at a time' Despite the optimism, Oasis manager Alec McKinlay told Music Week that the tour is 'very much the last time around,' with no plans for new music. However, Liam Gallagher responded to fan concerns on social media, writing: 'Neither do I and the only people that will be making any kind of decisions on the future of OASIS will be ME n RKID so let's just take it 1 day at a time.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like New Launch - Prestige - Pallavaram Garden, Chennai Prestige Pallavaram Gardens Learn More Undo The brothers' cautious approach reflects the emotional complexity of their relationship, which has oscillated between camaraderie and conflict since Oasis's split in 2009. Reunion highlights: handshakes, dedications, and Gallagher Hill The tour has already delivered emotional moments, including the brothers walking on stage hand-in-hand in Cardiff and embracing at Heaton Park. Liam dedicated 'Bring It On Down' to fans gathered outside the venue on 'Gallagher Hill,' defying local restrictions that fenced off the area to protect livestock and newly planted trees. Fans were filmed singing along from the hill, prompting Liam to shout: 'Loads of people over there behind some hill or summat. Yeah I wanna dedicate this tune to them. If you lot are listening on the f**ing hill, 'Bring It On Down.'' A legacy tour with no guarantees While the 'Live '25 Tour' is being hailed as a historic moment for Britpop fans, insiders caution that it may not lead to a full-fledged Oasis revival. The band's manager emphasized that this is a 'chance for fans who haven't seen the band to see them,' but reiterated that 'there's no plan for any new music'. Still, Cooper's advice—and Liam's cryptic optimism—have sparked hope that the reunion could evolve beyond nostalgia. As one fan wrote on social media: 'If Alice Cooper is rooting for them, maybe there's still magic left in the tank.'

Oasis streaming soared at staggering rate after reunion tour announcement
Oasis streaming "went up by 750 percent" in one hour after their reunion announcement. The Don't Look Back In Anger hitmakers play the first of their highly anticipated Oasis Live '25 tour dates on Friday (04.07.25) at Cardiff's Principality, but the decision to get the band back together had proven lucrative even before tickets went on sale. Sarah Mansfield, head of creative and retail marketing at the group's label Big Brother, told Music Week magazine: "Streams went up 750 percent in the hour following the tour announcement and there were over 11 million Oasis streams on the day the tickets went on sale." Before the announcement last summer, it's reported that only three of the band's songs had made a significant dent in streaming. Their back catalogue's popularity on Apple Music and Spotify is said to have been far below acts like Coldplay and Imagine Dragons. However, the impact of the reunion tour goes behind digital music, with vinyl also seeing a "staggering" boost. Sarah added: "The uplift we've seen since the tour announcement has been staggering, vinyl particularly; it's mad how much it sells. "It's also really important to Noel and Liam... they still view the album as a physical product." This week, brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher revealed plans for a special 30th anniversary reissue of (What's The Story) Morning Glory? featuring newly released unplugged versions of classic tracks. The deluxe version of the album will be released on October 3, a day after the Britpop icons released their seminal second record in 1995, and will feature unplugged versions of Cast No Shadow, Morning Glory, Wonderwall, Acquiesce and Champagne Supernova. The new acoustic tracks have been produced and mixed by Noel Gallagher and Callum Marinho from the original master recordings at Noel's Lone Star Sound studio in London. The deluxe album features new artwork shot by the original sleeve designer Brian Cannon and new sleeve notes. Exclusive coloured vinyl formats will also be available to fans, including the indie record store exclusive Cast No Shadow inspired Crystal Clear 3xLP, a HMV Morning Glory inspired blue marble 3XLP, an Amazon exclusive Wonderwall inspired sepia marble 3XLP and an official store exclusive Acquiesce inspired neon orange 3XLP. All formats will include the 2014 remastered version of the album together with the new bonus versions.

Ozzy Osbourne back with Black Sabbath in rehearsals for epic farewell show
Nearly two decades after last performing together, the members of Black Sabbath have reunited ahead of their final ever show. Formed in Birmingham in 1968 by Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Bill Ward and Geezer Butler, the heavy metal band has sold over 70 million records, won two Grammys and been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Although the line-up has faced many changes over the years, in 2005 the original members came back together. There was also a farewell tour in their home city in 2017, but Bill was absent. However next month they will perform together for one last time. Back to the Beginning will be held at Villa Park in Birmingham on July 5, the final concert for both the band's original line-up and Ozzy, 76, who has been battling ill health in recent years. A week out from the anticipated event, overnight the band's official social media pages shared a photo of Ozzy with Bill and Geezer. 'Rehearsals are underway for Back To The Beginning: Ozzy's Final Bow,' the post was captioned. Sitting on a couch, the trio smile for the camera, with Ozzy also seen holding a walking stick. Although Tony wasn't seen, some fans speculated he might have been the one taking the snap. Many others were also excited to see Bill, who didn't take part in the 2017 The End Tour. 'Omg Bill!!! This photo makes me happy,' user planet27 records shared. 'Wow…killing photo…hitting my soul now!' Juan shared. 'This is the most Rock N Roll thing I've ever seen! Sabbath for life,' cardinaleyezofapsycho added. The anticipated show will mark the first time in almost 20 years the original band have performed all together. Meanwhile, Ozzy hasn't played a full gig since 2018, and has faced numerous health problems since then, including being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. A few weeks ago, Tony admitted he was unsure about how the show would play out. 'This would be a big, monumental thing if it all comes good. The worrying thing for me is the unknown,' he told Music Week. 'We don't know what's going to happen. Normally, when we'd tour, we'd rehearse and run through the thing for a while, and it's just us. But with this event there are so many other moving parts. 'You're used to Ozzy running around, but he certainly won't be doing that for this show. I don't know if he's going to be standing or sitting on a throne or what.' Ozzy had also been due to play a European tour in 2019, but it was rescheduled three times before officially being cancelled in February 2023. However, he has performed a handful of times in recent years, including at the Commonwealth Games in August 2022 and the NFL halftime show the following month. Although he revealed earlier this year he now 'can't walk', his wife Sharon said his illness 'doesn't affect his voice'. He also previously reassured fans he was in 'heavy training' for the show but also wouldn't be pushing his body too much. 'I am doing what I can, where I feel comfortable,' he told NME. Meanwhile, Sharon said the show would give him a chance to 'say thank you to everybody' who had supported him, and that the musician was 'very emotional' in the lead-up to the final Black Sabbath show. More Trending The Back to the Beginning concert, which is already sold out, will also feature performances from Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Tool and Slayer. It will be raising funds for Cure Parkinsons, Birmingham Children's Hospital and Acorns Children's Hospice. For those fans who can't attend, it will be made available online through a livestream. Ozzy Osbourne kicks off rehearsals for final ever show after sad admission
Ozzy Osbourne has begun rehearsals for his final ever show - less than two weeks before he will sing with Black Sabbath one last time. Frontman Ozzy posted a photo on social media and said simply 'Hello from rehearsals!' A walking stick could be seen in shot and Ozzy was alongside band members Geezer Butler who plays bass and drummer Bill Ward. Guitarist Tony Iommi was not in the picture. Ozzy's wife Sharon also posted the photo and added: 'reunited and rehearsing'. A source close to the band said the rehearsals were in the UK and Ozzy had flown over for the countdown to the show. Ozzy and Black Sabbath will headline their final gig on July 5th at Villa Park in Birmingham, as part of an event titled "Back To The Beginning". This show will reunite the original band members – Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward – for the first time in 20 years. The band played its "last" gig in 2017 in Birmingham with Osborne, guitarist Iommi and bassist Butler but without Ward on drums. But last year Ozzy was not well enough to perform at the band's Rock'N'Roll Hall Of Fame inauguration in America. In a interview earlier in the month, Tony admitted he has "excitement mixed with fear' ahead of the show, whilst he also confirmed rehearsals are due to start this month. He said: 'This would be a big, monumental thing if it all comes good. The worrying thing for me is the unknown. We don't know what's going to happen. Normally, when we'd tour, we'd rehearse and run through the thing for a while, and it's just us. But with this event there are so many other moving parts.' He added: "You're used to Ozzy running around, but he certainly won't be doing that for this show. I don't know if he's going to be standing or sitting on a throne or what.' Speaking to Music Week at the start of June, Tony said: 'Once we start playing, then we'll know we're doing it. It's always a worry, even when we did tours before, there's always that build-up, and then it gets to the point that we do it and it's OK.' Ozzy, who is suffering from Parkinson's disease, told last month how he has been having physical therapy and training with a trainer virtually living with him in Los Angeles in a bid to get him fit enough to perform on stage after a catalogue of illnesses. Ozzy's wife Sharon said: 'Ozzy's working with his therapist every single day. He's doing really well, actually. Ozzy's number one thing in life is his fans, so he's working hard to be ready for them, to make this show the perfect way to end things.' Ozzy's wife also told Music Week the celebration gig shows how well the band have endured through the years since they formed over 50 years ago. She said: 'You've got to remember, this is a band that started in the '60s – and they're still here. A lot of the bands who started in the '60s are no longer alive, or operating as they used to.' In May, Ozzy admitted he is suffering huge self confidence and stage fright issues ahead of his summer UK farewell show - but has vowed 'to give 120 percent'.

Ozzy Osbourne is selling his DNA 'so fans can try to clone him' when he's gone
In a bizarre move ahead of his final gig, Ozzy Osbourne is selling his DNA to lucky fans for the small sum of $450 (£335). The Black Sabbath legend, who will return to Birmingham next month for his final ever show, has teamed up with drinks company Liquid Death for a limited edition deal. There are 10 cans of iced tea – which the Paranoid hitmaker has already consumed – up for grabs. The empty cans were re-sealed after Ozzy, 76, finished the drink, which hold his DNA inside. Liquid Death's PR team said: 'Once technology and federal law permit, fans can use this DNA to try to clone Ozzy in the future and enjoy him for hundreds of years to come.' Ozzy seems very pro-cloning as he quipped: 'Clone me, you b****rds.' This isn't The Prince of Darkness' first collab with the brand as he previously starred in an ad for Liquid Death's Death Dust electrolyte drink mix. He joked in the clip: 'Whatever you do, don't try freebasing it and never ever inject it. And don't even think about boofing it, you little perverts.' It seems Ozzy's sense of humour hasn't wavered amid his recent health struggles, which will perhaps see him chair-bound when he takes to the stage at Villa Park on July 5. Back to the Beginning will see Ozzy give a short solo performance before reuniting with Black Sabbath bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward for the first time in 20 years. However, fans – and even Black Sabbath's Tony – have expressed concern for Ozzy's health on the night. Speaking to Music Week three weeks ahead of the show, Tony admitted: 'This would be a big, monumental thing if it all comes good. The worrying thing for me is the unknown. 'We don't know what's going to happen. Normally, when we'd tour, we'd rehearse and run through the thing for a while, and it's just us. But with this event there are so many other moving parts. 'You're used to Ozzy running around, but he certainly won't be doing that for this show. I don't know if he's going to be standing or sitting on a throne or what.' Last month, chatting on Ozzy Speaks, The Osbournes star revealed his blood pressure was being taken 15 times a day. Ozzy explained: 'I have got this trainer guy who helps people get back to normal. It's hard going, but he's convinced that he can pull it off for me. I'm giving it everything I've got. 'It's endurance. The first thing that goes when you're laid up is your stamina. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video 'I am having my blood pressure taken 15 times a day.. I've got this f***ing device on my finger. It's a monitor to say how my heart rate is.' The worrying updates come after Ozzy revealed he was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2020, and two years later he paused touring following extensive spinal surgery in 2023. More Trending Ozzy crashed a quad bike at his Buckinghamshire home in 2003, which required surgery and metal rods to be installed in his body. A fall in 2019 displaced metal rods inserted into his back from the crash, which he said caused more complications than Parkinson's itself. The one-off charity concert will feature performances from the likes of Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Alice in Chains, Anthrax, Mastodon, and many more. Proceeds will raise money for Cure Parkinson's, the Birmingham Children's Hospital and Acorn Children's Hospice. Got a story?
