Muskogee District Attorney Larry Edwards found dead
Muskogee County District Attorney Larry Edwards was found dead Monday morning, Muskogee Police Spokeswoman Lynn Hamlin confirmed. Hamlin said police officers were dispatched to Edwards' home around 8:05 a.m. "The Medical Examiner's office has been notified, there is nothing suspicious at this time and found him unresponsive," Hamlin said. Edwards was elected district attorney in 2022. He was appointed by Gov. Kevin Stitt the previous October to replace former Muskogee County District Attorney Orvil Loge.
