OpenText launches MyAviator AI to boost secure digital work
OpenText has announced the expansion of its agentic artificial intelligence capabilities with the launch of MyAviator, a secure personal AI assistant intended to support digital knowledge workers across several industries. The company said that MyAviator is designed to enable users to work with their own documents and data to extract insights and generate content securely, operating entirely within the OpenText ecosystem. According to OpenText, the assistant integrates directly into existing organisational workflows, aiming to reduce friction, lower costs, and streamline processes in regulated and data-intensive environments. MyAviator is part of the broader OpenText Aviator suite, which offers AI-powered assistants that address use cases in legal, finance, technology, energy, software development, and other sectors. These tools are positioned to assist in process automation and support the changing role of digital knowledge workers. Mark J. Barrenechea, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer at OpenText, commented on the company's approach: OpenText is committed to secure information management for the digital knowledge worker – it is how we will introduce new paradigms of work, and deliver faster, smarter, and more personalised outcomes for our customers. Our strategy is grounded in unifying organisations through secure information, service management, and process automation – powered by AI. We intend to help organisations thrive by creating a limitless digital workforce. As outlined by the company, MyAviator is intended to be a personal digital worker for the enterprise. The new assistant enables individuals to securely engage with their files, summarise large quantities of content, and prepare materials for meetings or onboarding processes without compromising security or compliance obligations. OpenText emphasised that MyAviator does not add another tool to the IT stack, but rather integrates with current processes and systems. Industry applications OpenText highlighted several ways in which its Aviator AI solutions are supporting business operations. For example, in software development, OpenText automates up to 95% of test scripts, reducing manual testing by up to three days and allowing engineers to focus on other development work. This is said to enhance the speed of product delivery and the experience of users in eCommerce sectors. In agile software development, Aviator Testing Assistants use AI to analyse user story content, automate backlog creation, and harmonise development with organisational priorities. This is described as accelerating the time it takes to reach the market and improving coordination among development teams. OpenText's solutions are also being utilised in legal settings, where the company reports that its AI systems can instantly retrieve relevant case files, precedents, and regulatory documents. This is aimed at supporting quicker decision-making, maintaining compliance with regulations, and reducing both workload and associated costs in legal departments. For claims management, AI-driven automation technologies from OpenText can reportedly reduce time spent processing claims, help detect fraudulent activity, and validate policies with limited human intervention. The company claims these measures contribute to faster claim resolutions, more accurate processing, savings for businesses, and increased trust among customers. Within research-intensive industries such as mining and biotechnology, OpenText stated that its AI assists by analysing complex datasets, facilitating the identification of opportunities, lowering risks, and increasing the speed of discovery. These capabilities are intended to support organisations in making decisions with more precision and in line with environmental considerations. Technology and strategy OpenText reported that its commitment to agentic AI and enterprise automation underpins its strategy to help businesses automate complex workflows and enhance decision-making. The company stated that its approach is intended to prepare organisations for changes in digital transformation, ensuring that they are not only able to adapt to technological shifts but can also position themselves at the forefront of these developments. The introduction of MyAviator extends OpenText's Aviator strategy by offering an assistant designed for individual knowledge workers, with the aim of supporting productivity, security, and efficiency within the existing information management infrastructure of organisations. This launch is presented as part of OpenText's ongoing efforts to maximise AI's role in information management and enterprise operations.
