It comes after The Sun on Sunday revealed last week that Carroll was twice quizzed by police over rows with Lou during a holiday to the Greek party island of Mykonos. He was questioned about the bust-ups with Lou at a packed beachside restaurant and then at their hotel. Carroll - once the most expensive British prem star - was taken to the police station after the second incident. The dad of five began dating Lou last year after his split Towie star wife Billi Mucklow. Viktor Gyokeres soaks up the sun in Greece as £85m wantaway Sporting star waits for offers from Arsenal and Man United with Premier League duo weighing up their striker target options
Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres has been spotted on holiday in Greece amid links to a summer move to the Premier League. Gyokeres, 27, was seen catching rays on the Greek island of Mykonos in a pair of striped trunks and sporting sunglasses aboard a private yacht. He was seen with a group of friends who appeared to be in high spirits during what is a well-earned break for one of Europe's most talked about forwards Speculation over his future has intensified with Arsenal and Manchester United both reportedly interested in signing the Swedish international. He scored 54 goals in 52 appearances for Sporting last season and has reportedly contacted Sporting president Frederico Varandas to demand a transfer. But his lofty price-tag could prove a hindrance in both the Gunners' and the Red Devils' pursuit of the forward. Gyokeres is said to have believed that he reached a gentleman's agreement with Sporting last summer that would see the Portuguese league champions accept a fee around €70million (£60million, including add-ons, at the end of the 2024-25 season. However, Sporting are now appearing to hold out for a significantly increased fee - with Gyokeres having a €100m (£84m) release clause in his current contract. Despite Gyokeres' apparent agitation for a move, Varandas accused his team of attempting to 'blackmail' Sporting, while he reportedly threatened to go on strike after vowing to 'speak at the right time'. Now Gyokeres has made his thoughts clear to Varandas in a phone call, where he told him he wants to join Arsenal and should be allowed to after 'giving everything for the club,' according to Portuguese publication Record. The report claims that the Swede will refuse to return to Lisbon and will 'never forgive those responsible' if a move to Arsenal breaks down'. Arsenal are also exploring options over the signing of RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, who is believed to be sporting director Andrea Berta's preferred option over Gyokeres. Sources close to the club suggest that Sporting Lisbon's keenness to offload Gyokeres has become clearer by the day and arguably weakened their hand. Internally, there was already reservations over the 27-year-old because Portugal's Primeira Liga is a totally different proposition to the Premier League, even though he scored 39 league goals last season. Berta is said to have other striker options in mind. If a deal for Sesko or Gyokeres was not to materialise, the prospect of a surprise name entering the frame is a possibility. Sources told MailSport that RB Leipzig are driving a hard bargain over Sesko because they know how desperate the Gunners are for a striker and the limited availability of world-class forwards.

ARSENAL fans have been left convinced they are on course to sign one of their top striker targets after he followed them on Instagram and his barber dropped a message. The Gunners are looking to recruit a top forward this summer to fire them to their first Premier League title in more than 20 years. 5 5 They have been linked with a number of forwards, none of whom will be cheap. One of their top transfer targets is 22-year-old Benjamin Sesko, rated at a minimum of £68.5million and up to £85.5m by RB Leipzig. This season, after years of fielding requests for a particular swimsuit online and at his retail stores, the men's wear designer Todd Snyder gave those who had been asking what they wanted: a swim brief. Mr. Snyder, who is known for making modern versions of classic items in the American man's wardrobe, said that even though he had a sense of customers' appetite for swim briefs, he was surprised by his version's reception. 'It's been doing killer,' he said of the brief, a new addition to his namesake brand's swimwear offerings — competing 'neck and neck' with the trunks his brand sells. The Todd Snyder Mykonos brief, which is sold in three solid colors and has an inside pocket for small items like keys, is among the latest iterations of a swimsuit being revisited by some luxury brands (most are European) and by men bold enough to wear it. They do not include Mr. Snyder. 'I think I'm past that,' the 57-year-old designer said, laughing. 'Those days are gone.' Bode expanded its line of nostalgic and embroidered clothing to include solid-color swim briefs last year, and other rarefied styles currently for sale include asymmetrically cut briefs by Rick Owens, a rococo pair by Versace, a leopard pair by Dolce & Gabbana, a checked pair by Burberry and logo-stamped styles by Louis Vuitton and Gucci. But no luxury brand has leaned in quite like Miu Miu, the women's wear label beloved by many men, which was ahead of the pack when it showed swim briefs styled with T-shirts, polos and low-slung shorts in its spring 2024 collection. Now the brand offers a pair in seven colors and 14 sizes. Its three-figure price, like those of some other styles, is just as likely to cause a double take as the briefs themselves are.
