Ramchander Rao sets strategic agenda at State level workshop
Hyderabad: BJP Telangana State President N. Ramchander Rao chaired a state-level workshop on preparation for local body elections on Tuesday, at Aushapur, Ghat Kesar, where he outlined a strategic roadmap for the upcoming local body elections. Addressing party leaders and workers, Rao emphasized the importance of unified efforts to expand BJP's political footprint across the state and meet the aspirations of its growing support base. He urged party cadres to mobilize with renewed determination, noting that BJP's presence has significantly strengthened in Telangana's villages. 'People from all sections are demanding the formation of a BJP government. The momentum is in our favor,' Rao declared. He highlighted that while the party once had only one MLA and four MPs, it now boasts seven MLAs, eight MPs, and three MLCs — a testament to the party's steady growth in electoral representation and public support. Launching a scathing attack on the current Congress-led government, he accused it of continuing the 'corrupt and anti-people rule' of its predecessor, the BRS. He cited unmet promises and alleged policy missteps, particularly around reservation policies. 'The Congress party promised 42 percent reservation for BCs but now seeks to insert 10 percent religious reservations into that quota,' he said, calling it a betrayal of backward classes. Ramchander Rao said that such divisive moves of religious-based policies are against the national university and were motivated by vote bank politics. Referring to the BJP's earlier opposition to the 4 percent religious reservations in education and jobs, Rao criticized the Congress for perpetuating divisive practices for its political gains. The BJP president reiterated the party's ideological stance and called for mass movements against what he described as 'anti-people policies' of the Congress government. He stressed the need for aggressive outreach and grassroots campaigning that reflects the concerns of ordinary citizens. 'Workers should move, leaders should come forward, and we must all advance together,' he said. He called for strong faith and collective action to ensure the BJP's victory not only in the local body elections but also in future assembly contests. The workshop marked the beginning of BJP's action plans for launching an intensified state-wide campaign ahead of the local body elections.

Intellectuals urged to lead BJP's push for power in Telangana
Hyderabad: Telangana State BJP President N. Ramchander Rao called on intellectuals to play a pivotal role in shaping political change, urging them to help bring the BJP into power in the next state assembly elections. Addressing a gathering of intellectuals in Kodad on the second day of his tour through the Nalgonda and Suryapet districts, on Tuesday, Rao emphasized the importance of leveraging experience, scholarship, and social engagement to build political momentum for a 'Viksit Telangana.' Rao asserted that intellectuals possess the moral and analytical clarity needed to inform the public, raise awareness, and counter misinformation. He encouraged members of the Intellectuals Forum to actively educate citizens on policy issues and governance, and to foster informed democratic participation in favor of the BJP. In a scathing critique of the Congress-led state government, Rao accused Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of failing to deliver on electoral promises even after 18 months in office. He cited the party's much-publicized 'nine guarantees' as impractical and misleading, adding that the promises had deepened public debt and eroded trust. Rao also highlighted the sluggish pace of investigations into alleged corruption and financial irregularities involving leaders of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). Suggesting a possible understanding between Congress and BRS, he claimed the investigative inertia pointed to political collusion. Celebrating national accomplishments, Rao praised the 11-year tenure of the Narendra Modi-led central government, stating that India has seen unprecedented development across all sectors. He credited the government's 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' mission for uplifting marginalized communities and transforming India into a rising global power. The efficient delivery of basic services and infrastructure development were highlighted as key achievements of the BJP's governance model. On the second day of his two-district tour, Rao began with a visit to a temple in his native village, Nallabandagudem, followed by a trip to Saibaba temple before reaching Kodad. He was received with enthusiasm by farmers, members of the BJP Kisan Morcha, and party cadres. The warm reception featured chants, garlands, and spirited participation from local leaders and supporters. During the visit, Rao also paid tribute to Telangana statehood martyr Srikanth Chari by garlanding his statue, underscoring the party's continued reverence for those who laid down their lives and stood as the foundation for state formation. He reiterated the BJP's commitment to honor the sacrifices made during the Telangana movement. The visit and meeting concluded with the new BJP state reiterating that the party's line of intellectual engagement is central to political renewal. With an eye on the future, Rao urged thoughtful participation and civic responsibility to support the BJP's goal of establishing development-focused, accountable governance in Telangana during this two-day visit.

BJP to expose govt. for ‘political reservations' to Muslims
The BJP will expose the Congress government for the 'political reservations' of providing 10% quota to Muslims from within the 42% quota for Backward Classes (BC) and deceiving the latter in the process, said Telangana party president N. Ramchander Rao on Tuesday. During his presidential address at the State-level workshop for the local body elections held here for the party leaders and attended by Union Minister for Coal & Mines G. Kishan Reddy, MP D.K. Aruna and other top leaders, he pointed out that the party has always been against religious quotas and inserting them along with the BC is definitely an 'anti-BC' step. Mr. Rao claimed that the party was in a good position and well poised to do well in the local body polls as was exemplified in the enthusiastic reception he had receiving during his maiden foray into his 'home' district of Nalgonda by different sections of people after he took over as the party chief. For this to translate into votes, the cadre and leaders should combine forces for growth of the party across the State, he said. Abusive-free politics Earlier, continuing his second day of the tour in Suryapet district after spending the night at his native village of Nallabandla Gudem, the BJP chief said he was inclined to create a 'new political atmosphere' to make politics 'abusive-free' and fight to spread the party ideology for the betterment of people and the State. Addressing an Intellectuals meeting at Kodad, he expressed concern that rival political leaders have been indulging in mudslinging against each other and using 'abusive and unparliamentary language'. 'Aggressiveness does not mean that the leader should shred his clothes or squat on the road using abusive language against his rivals. In politics , leaders might have differences on party ideology irrespective of their party affiliations. But it was not wise to indulge in using derogatory words against individuals', he suggested. Calling upon youth to join politics for 'purifying' the political atmosphere , the BJP chief has urged social media platforms not to vitiate the political atmosphere by disseminating false and wrong news without ascertaining the facts of the story. Social media platforms should not create 'social animosity' and 'create confusion in the minds of people,' he said.

Issue new ration cards to all eligible beneficiaries: BJP
The BJP has demanded the government to issue new ration cards to all eligible beneficiaries as it had promised and wanted it to acknowledge the Centre's contribution towards free distribution of foodgrains under the PM 'Garib Kalyan Yojana' on Monday. Party president N. Ramchander Rao, who is currently on a tour to Nalgonda, told a meeting of party workers that the Congress government has not been giving due credit to the Modi government for the foodgrains supply and had even removed the Prime Minister's photo from the ration shops. The BJP leader also warned against restricting the issuance of new ration cards to ruling party followers as is being alleged in certain quarters. He also criticised the BRS government for not issuing a single new ration card during its two terms in power. The newly elected State president was received with enthusiasm by the party cadre during his road journey as his convoy was halted at many places with the former being profusely garlanded. During his interactions with various groups, Mr. Rao once again reiterated the party's stand against the inclusion of 10% quota for Muslims in the 42% BC quota. The former MLC pointed out that the Supreme Court had rejected reservations based on religion and said BC would be losing out if Muslims were included in the category. There is no point in criticising the Centre when it is the Congress government which had brought the BCs quota bill in the Legislative Assembly, hence the onus on implementing is on the latter, maintained Mr. Rao. 'We are not against BC quota but only against the quota based on religion,' he declared. The government has been in power for 18 months but is yet to act on the pending SLBC and Didi irrigation projects, he complained. The party is taking the local body polls in all seriousness and will contest for all posts from the village level to the district level. His call for the cadre is to ensure the party flag is hoisted in every village of his home district. The Revanth Reddy government has cheated the farmers and students, instead of taking up the promised schemes. Farmers' suicides have been continuing unabated and pending fee reimbursement has thrown the education sector into a crisis, said Mr. Rao. Just like the BRS government, the current regime too is mired in corruption coupled with policy failures, hence the time is ripe for the BJP to give confidence to the people that a double engine government alone can develop Telangana, he added.

Telangana BJP chief slams Congress over caste census, backs Amit Shah's remarks
HYDERABAD: Backing Union Home Minister Amit Shah's remarks on the Telangana Caste Census, Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao launched a scathing attack on the ruling Telangana Congress government, calling its survey a mere 'political stunt.' Rao questioned the Congress party's sincerity toward the upliftment of backward communities, stating, 'If the Congress was truly committed to the welfare of backward classes, why didn't it conduct a nationwide caste census during its 56 years in power?' He reminded that the Congress-led UPA government had carried out a nationwide survey in 2011, spending over ₹4,000 crore of public funds, yet failed to release the findings. 'Even after such massive expenditure, the report was never published. What were they hiding?' he asked.
