Naga Chaitanya's ‘NC24' enters crucial second schedule
After delivering a blockbuster with Thandel, Yuvasamrat Naga Chaitanya is now diving into a bold new genre with #NC24, a mythological thriller directed by Virupaksha fame Karthik Dandu. The film, touted to be the biggest project of Chaitanya's career, is being produced on a grand scale by BVSN Prasad and Sukumar under Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra LLP and Sukumar Writings, with Bapineedu presenting. The production team recently wrapped up the first schedule and expressed satisfaction with the initial footage. Riding on that momentum, the crucial second schedule has now commenced in Hyderabad. This month-long phase will see the shooting of key sequences featuring Chaitanya and prominent actors from various film industries. The shoot will span three major Hyderabad locations, with a top-tier technical team supporting the effort. A new poster was unveiled, featuring Naga Chaitanya in a rugged avatar—holding a pickaxe in one hand and a jute rope in the other, accompanied by the tagline: 'One step deeper, one swing closer.' The striking image has added to the growing anticipation surrounding the film. Earlier, the makers generated buzz with the release of a gripping concept video titled 'NC24 – The Excavation Begins', which offered a haunting and cinematic glimpse into the film's scale and mood, earning a thunderous response from fans. The project boasts an accomplished technical crew, including Ajaneesh B Loknath for music, Ragul Dharuman for cinematography, Sri Nagendra Tangala as Production Designer, and Naveen Nooli handling editing. The film's title and full cast will be revealed soon.

Spirit: When will Prabhas begin shooting for Sandeep Reddy Vanga's cop drama with Triptii Dimri?
Prabhas is all set to collaborate for the first time with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga in the much-anticipated movie Spirit. The film is touted to be one of the most ambitious projects of the latter and has been fueling quite a bit of excitement among fans. Recently, Sandeep's brother gave an interesting update about the movie. When will shooting for Spirit begin? Recently, at an event, Sandeep Reddy Vanga's brother, Pranay, spilled the beans over the much-awaited update on the film. Speaking at the Celebrity Cricket Mela event in the USA, he confirmed that the Prabhas starrer would go on floors and begin shooting from September 2025 onwards. Prabhas to shoot Spirit with no breaks? As per a previous report, it was claimed that Sandeep Reddy Vanga had requested Prabhas to allot him bulk dates for the shooting of Spirit. The primary reason behind this is that the movie requires the actor to pull off a completely new look and physique. As a result, it would be difficult for Prabhas to change it for any other project midway through the shoot. Thus, the actor would complete all his pending work and only then begin with Spirit, so that it is completed in one go. Triptii Dimri replaced Deepika Padukone as lead opposite Prabhas The project Spirit garnered significant attention lately when Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone allegedly walked out of the film, and soon enough, the makers announced Triptii Dimri as the new lead. For the uninitiated, Triptii has already collaborated with Sandeep Reddy Vanga on Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. The move by the Piku actress created quite a bit of controversy, as it was speculated that she quit after the producers and makers failed to meet her demands. Buzz about demanding a fixed schedule also flooded in, after which she stepped down from the project. Prabhas' work front Fast forward to now, Prabhas is eyeing a December 2025 release with Maruthi-directed romantic horror comedy, The Raja Saab. Besides this, he also has Hanu Raghavapudi's movie, tentatively titled Fauji. Last Updated: Naga Chaitanya previously said that his upcoming film with director Karthik, who is best known for directing the horror thriller 'Virupaksha', would be a mythological thriller. The makers of director Karthik Dandu's mythological thriller, tentatively being referred to as #NC24 and featuring actor Naga Chaitanya in the lead, on Friday announced that the second schedule of shooting for the film had commenced in Hyderabad. Taking to its X timeline, Sri Venkateshwara Cine Chitra (SVCC), the production house producing the big budget entertainer, wrote, 'Yuvasamrat is back in action. The second schedule of #NC24 begins in Hyderabad and will be shot across three different locations. It's going to be an adrenaline-charged ride." They also released a new poster to announce the beginning of the second schedule. The poster had the tag line, 'One step deeper; One swing closer." It may be recalled that Naga Chaitanya had disclosed details of this project in an interview to a YouTube channel some months ago. He had said that his upcoming film with director Karthik, who is best known for having directed the horror thriller 'Virupaksha', would be a mythological thriller. 'This will be a very heavy VFX-based cinema and I am very excited about this project," Naga Chaitanya had said. The actor went on to point out that he had not done a film with this kind of span in his 15-year film career. 'This film will be in the zone of adventure, treasure hunting," the actor added. Directed by Karthik Dandu, the film is being produced by BVSN Prasad. The film's story has been penned by director Sukumar. The film, which is tentatively being referred to as #NC24, will have cinematography by Neil D Cunha and music by Ajaneesh Loknath. Editing for the film will be by National award-winning editor Navin Nooli while Art direction will be by Sri Nagendra Tangala, who also handled the art direction of 'Thandel'. Interestingly, SVCC had, at the time of commencement of shooting of the film, said, 'After years of crafting, months of planning, and endless hours of rehearsing, #NC24 The Excavation Begins. Brace yourselves for the grand spectacle of a never-before-seen mythical thriller." Naga Chaitanya is all set to be back on-screen with his next film, NC24. The action adventure project is directed by Karthik Dandu of Virupaksha fame, who is leaving no stone unturned to make it a visual spectacle never seen before. Naga Chaitanya starts month-long schedule for NC24 Amid the spotlight surrounding the Akkineni clan following Akhil and Zainab's wedding, Naga Chaitanya is now back on the sets once more, completing the shooting for his upcoming mythological thriller, NC24. The second phase of the shooting will now take place extensively in Hyderabad, involving some crucial scenes between the lead actor and his co-stars. This will be a month-long schedule for which a massive set has also been constructed inside Annapurna Studios. Budget and crew details about NC24 The makers have assured that they will roll out the names of the other actors in the film shortly, who will share the screen space with Naga Chaitanya. The formal title will be unveiled soon as well. The movie happens to be one of the highest-budget projects in Chay's career and would witness him in a never-before-seen transformation. His character would be significantly different from anything he has done in recent times. He added that since the two of them are in Hyderabad together, they make it a point to share breakfast and dinner with each other. Moreover, weekends are sacred for both of them, which is the time when they unwind and spend time together. Discussing their unique dynamic, the actor commented, 'She's into reading, I'm into racing. But we're both creative people. We take turns planning holidays. One time it's her lead, the next time it's mine.'
