2025 Super Bowl to be Ozarks cheerleader's last dance with the Chiefs

CAMDENTON, Mo. — While you're cheering on the Chiefs, you might want to keep an eye on the sidelines for Jordan Fowler, a dancer from the Ozarks. She will be hanging up the pom poms Sunday after four years on the Kansas City Chiefs cheerleaders squad. Ozarks First sat down with her dad this week to talk about her journey. 'We watch a lot more football these days than we ever have,' said Elliott. Chiefs fans are rooting for their favorite player on the field, but for the owner of Andy's Pizza in Camdenton, his favorite is on the sideline. 'We're always looking for Jordan to see if we can get a snippet of Jordan on the TV if we're not there, or when we're at the stands,' Elliott said. Springfield Public Schools employee named Chiefs nominee for NFL Fan of the Year Elliott Fowler has spent the week getting his restaurant and his heart ready to watch his little girl step out on the field for the final time. 'Lots of emotions,' Elliott said. Jordan grew up dancing in the Ozarks since she was a child, dancing all through high school and even college. She decided two weeks before tryouts for the Chiefs cheerleading squad that she would give it a shot. Four years and three Super Bowls later, Jordan's last dance with the Chiefs cheerleaders will be in New Orleans, her 51st game. After supporting his daughter throughout the years, Elliott says there's a lot that goes into being a cheerleader. Local Chiefs fans in New Orleans hope to witness history 'It is countless hours of practice, it is determination, first and foremost, working through the pain and being humble at the same time,' Elliott said. While Elliott will be taking care of business in Camdenton, he will also be cherishing his daughter's time and experience with Chief's Kingdom. 'Try and live in the moment. It'll be over before you know it, so you want to live in the moment and really take it in,' said Elliott. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. Springfield Public Schools employee named Chiefs nominee for NFL Fan of the Year

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Executive Elementary Director for Springfield Public Schools, Tom Masterson, was named the Chiefs nominee for NFL Fan of the Year, and he is enjoying the trip of a lifetime in New Orleans. A Chiefs season ticket holder for over a decade, Masterson is attending the Super Bowl with his wife in New Orleans on Sunday and gets to go on field level before the game. 'I knew I couldn't afford it and I never thought I would win it, never thought that would happen,' said Masterson. 'So when I found out that I was getting to go and [Chiefs owner] Clark Hunt gave me the tickets, it was when I knew it was like 'This is not real.'' Masterson didn't win the overall NFL Fan of the Year award — that went to Detroit Lions fan Megan Stefanski — but for him, it isn't about winning. Hosting a Super Bowl watch party Masterson says he hopes this platform will bring people's attention to an important organization that helped his family when he and his wife lost two children in tragic situations. 'It's an organization that's supported our family through the loss of a couple of our kids called On Angel's Wings, an option to bring attention and light to an organization that people don't really know about until they need it,' said Masterson. 'That's a really cool opportunity to just use that platform for it.' On Angel's Wings is an organization that helps families who have lost children in the grieving process. Masterson says he is grateful for everyone who has voted for him along the way and is hoping to see a historic three-peat in person. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
