Miller Homes' Cambuslang site manager wins prestigious industry award

Gary Carmichael has been given a NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Award. Miller Homes is celebrating the success of Gary Carmichael, site manager at The Hedgerows development in Cambuslang, who has received a NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Award. It recognises the dedication, leadership and technical excellence required to consistently deliver high-quality new homes. ‌ Judged through an intensive process assessing build quality, health and safety and overall site management, the prestigious award is one of the most respected accolades in the UK housebuilding industry. ‌ Out of thousands of site managers evaluated nationwide, only 450 were selected to receive a Quality Award this year – placing Gary among the top performers in the field. Proud of the achievement, Gary commented: 'The most rewarding part of my job is helping to build thriving communities. The NHBC Pride in the Job Awards celebrate those who strive for the highest standards in new home construction, and I'm proud to be recognised alongside so many dedicated professionals. 'I would like to pass on my congratulations to everyone who took home the Quality Award, including four of my colleagues from the wider Miller Homes team.' Andrew McArthur, regional operations director at Miller Homes Scotland West, added: 'These awards are a testament to outstanding leadership and tireless hard work, and we're extremely proud of Gary for receiving this honour. 'At Miller Homes, our customers are at the centre of everything we do, and we foster a culture rooted in quality, care, and commitment. This achievement reflects the collective effort of Gary's team, our contractors, and our valued homeowners.' Gary will now go forward to compete in the next round of the competition where he could be recognised with another Seal of Excellence and Regional Award title.

This award is given to those who "consistently deliver high-quality new homes." To win this award, site managers have to show their skill in build quality, health and safety, and site management.
