The new capacity became commercially operational on June 30, 2025, following successful trial runs completed on June 29, 2025. With this addition, the total commercial operational capacity of the Bikaner solar project has now reached 214.28 MW out of the planned 300 MW. NHPC stated that the commissioning of the remaining capacity will be informed in due course. The company shared this update in compliance with Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. JSW Energy signs PPA for 300 MW solar-wind hybrid capacity with NHPC

JSW Energy on Wednesday announced a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) through its stepdown subsidiary Energizent Power Private Limited, NHPC Limited for ISTS-connected 300 MW solar-wind hybrid capacity , the company said in a statement. The PPA is signed for supply of power for 25 years with a tariff of Rs 3.49/KWh. The project is expected to be commissioned in the next 24 months and is located in Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh. JSW Energy has total locked-in generation capacity of 29.9 GW comprising of 12.5 GW operational, 12.8 GW under-construction across wind, thermal and hydro and pipeline of 4.6 GW. It also has 29.3 GWh of locked-in energy storage capacity through hydro pumped storage projects of 26.4 GWh and battery energy storage system of 2.9 GWh. Government headhunter PESB on Wednesday recommended the name of Bhupender Gupta for the post of Chairman & Managing Director of NHPC Limited. Gupta currently holds the post of Director (Technical), THDC India Limited -- a subsidiary company of power giant NTPC. Gupta along with eight others appeared for the interview in the selection meeting for the post of CMD NHPC, the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) said in a notification. Suprakash Adhikari, Director(Technical) NHPC, Ashok Kumar Nauriyal, ED NHPC, and Ramesh Mukhiya, MD of Chenab Valley Power Projects Ltd ( A JV of NHPC and JKPDC) also appeared for the interview.
