NLC India bags 450 MW hybrid power project from NTPC

NLC India Ltd has received a Letter of Award from NTPC Ltd for establishment of 450 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) Connected Wind-Solar Hybrid Power project in Rajasthan, the company said. According to the order secured from NTPC Ltd, NLC India would set up the 450 ISTS connected wind-solar power project, supply of hybrid power generated from the said project to NTPC Ltd for a period of 25 years under the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). "The project would be developed in Bikaner, Rajasthan for 300 MW and Bhuj, Gujarat for 150 MW," NLC India said in a press release on Sunday. The scheduled commencement of supply date for supplying power from the full project shall be within a period of 24 months from the effective date of the Power Purchase Agreement, it said.

NLC India Ltd (NLCIL) announced that it has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from NTPC Ltd for the establishment of a 450 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) connected wind-solar hybrid power project. Under the terms of the LoA, NLC India will be responsible for setting up the 450 MW ISTS-connected wind-solar hybrid power project and supplying the generated power to NTPC Ltd for a period of 25 years under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). The project will be strategically developed in two key locations: 300 MW will be established in Bikaner, Rajasthan, and the remaining 150 MW in Bhuj, Gujarat. According to the company's statement, the scheduled commencement of power supply from the full project is slated to occur within 24 months from the effective date of the PPA. This collaboration between NLC India and NTPC Ltd marks a crucial step towards expanding renewable energy capacity in India, leveraging both wind and solar resources to provide a consistent and reliable power supply.

NTPC fundraising: Board clears Rs 18,000 crore bond, NCD plan; postal ballot to follow

NEW DELHI: State-run power major NTPC Ltd on Saturday said its board has approved a proposal to raise up to Rs 18,000 crore through issuance of non-convertible debentures (NCDs) or bonds via private placement in the domestic market. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now According to a regulatory filing, the company's board gave its nod during a meeting held earlier in the day, and also cleared a draft notice for a postal ballot to seek shareholder approval for the fundraising plan, PTI reported. NTPC said the fundraising will be done in one or more tranches, not exceeding 12, during the one-year period from the date of passing the special resolution by shareholders. The company has fixed Friday, June 21, as the cut-off date to determine the names of members entitled to receive the postal ballot notice and exercise voting rights. The proposed NCDs or bonds will be issued on a private placement basis, the company said, without disclosing the exact timing or the utilisation plan for the proceeds.
