Jagan accuses Andhra govt of vendetta politics, governance failure
Amaravati, July 29 (PTI) YSRCP chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday accused the TDP-led government in Andhra Pradesh of engaging in 'vendetta politics", failure in governance and neglecting public welfare. Addressing the Political Affairs Committee (PAC) meeting of YSRCP, the former CM alleged that the state government is fabricating false cases to instill fear among its opponents, instead of focusing on implementing promised welfare schemes. 'Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu failed to implement poll promises and neglected all sections of society and is showing vindictive attitude towards political opponents," said Jagan Mohan Reddy in a release. Referring to the recent arrests of several senior YSRCP leaders, Jagan asserted that this is proof of 'vindictive politics". The YSRCP supremo further alleged that police have become 'collection agents", facilitating mafia-style operations in liquor, sand, rice and gambling, leading to paralysis of public institutions. The former CM also claimed that several key initiatives, including Nadu-Nedu works and Aarogyasri scheme, have been halted. According to Jagan, Naidu spent 52 per cent of YSRCP's five-year borrowings in just 14 months, despite stagnating state revenue and a mere three per cent growth rate. He announced the launch of a YSRCP app for citizens to report harassment, promising accountability and justice and called for strengthening of booth-level structure. After government apathy, Andhra's Gajulaguda villagers pool funds to build school building on their own
Villagers raise Rs 50,000 for school building, work resumes Gajulaguda is a tribal hamlet under Kimiseela Gram Panchayat in Komarada Mandal, home to around 110 tribal residents. Despite having five teachers and 55 students, the school operates from a single room. Consequently, Classes 1 to 3 are conducted inside the room, Class 4 is held in the corridor, and Class 5 under the open sky. Although the previous government sanctioned Rs 5.5 lakh for a new building under the Nadu-Nedu scheme, the project was left incomplete by the contractor. Multiple appeals by the villagers to ITDA officials and local elected representatives have yielded no results. Determined to address the issue, the villagers decided to complete the pending masonry work on their own. They began collecting donations of Rs 400 to Rs 500 from each household and also volunteered their labour to support the construction. A total of Rs 50,000 has been raised, and the masonry work resumed on Monday. Speaking to TNIE, K Malleswararao of Gajulaguda said, 'We have 55 students and five teachers in our village, but only one room for all five classes. Teachers are forced to conduct Classes 1 to 3 inside the room, Class 4 in the corridor, and Class 5 outside. Both students and teachers suffer, especially during heavy rains, and classes are often cancelled. Though a new building was sanctioned, the contractor left the job midway. Good governance a reality in NDA's rule: Home minister
Anakapalli: Home minister Vangalapudi Anitha emphasised that the NDA government is not just focusing on good governance but also ensuring a transparent rule to the people of Andhra Pradesh. As part of the door-to-door campaign 'Suparipalanalo tholi adugu', she visited Dharmavaram village, Y S Rayavaram mandal in Anakapalli district and pointed out that the YSRCP looted in the garb of Nadu-Nedu scheme. Explaining that the government is keen on both development of the state and welfare of the people, the home minister elaborated schemes rolled out in the past one year, assurances met, development works carried out in a transparent manner to the residents of the village. Later, she inaugurated a concrete road laid with the MGNREGS funds for Rs.8.40 lakh. Participating in an interactive programme, the minister enquired about the welfare of the women who took part in the programme. Expressing confidence that Payakaraopeta constituency is going to witness a huge transformation, Anitha stated that with the establishment of new Steel Plant and toy industries, a number of jobs will be generated for the local youth in the region. Assuring that Dharmavaram village will see signs of growth soon, Anitha stated that stringent action is in place to curb ganja menace in the state. Meanwhile, the Home Minister paid a visit to Palla Appalaraju, who was injured in a road accident and TDP senior leader Kaligetla Suryanarayana who had undergone a heart surgery.

Jagan Reddy's party says Class 10 results rushed, seeks Nara Lokesh's resignation
Andhra Pradesh's Class 10 results triggered a controversy, with the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) blaming Education Minister Nara Lokesh for large-scale mistakes in paper evaluations. The party is demanding his resignation, saying thousands of students were unfairly marked and their futures put at YSRCP Student Wing submitted a complaint to the School Education Commissioner in Mangalagiri, accusing the government of rushing the evaluation process and forcing teachers to check papers in just seven days. As a result, many top-performing students were shown as several cases, students who were initially given very low marks, like 21 or 26, saw their scores jump to over 80 and 90 after re-verification, claimed YSRCP. One student from YSR Kadapa had her Social Studies marks increased from 21 to 84, and another from Bapatla went from 26 to 96. Over 66,000 students applied for re-evaluation, and more than 11,000 were declared passed after mistakes were corrected, said the party.'This isn't a small error, it's a failure of the whole system,' said Student Wing State President Panuganti Chaitanya. 'Nara Lokesh must take moral responsibility and resign.' The leaders also demanded free re-evaluation, refunds, and a public apology to the affected students and their Hyderabad, former Education Minister Adimulapu Suresh also attacked the government, saying the fast-tracked evaluation, completed in just 21 days, was done to help corporate colleges start JEE and NEET coaching early. He called it a move that put profits over said errors were found in more than 30 per cent of the re-evaluated answer scripts, with marks jumping from 30 to even 93 in some cases. He demanded that admissions to IIITs, polytechnics, and other schools be paused until revaluation is also accused the current government of reversing earlier reforms like Nadu-Nedu and the IB curriculum, which aimed to help poor and rural students. 'This is not just carelessness, this is betrayal,' Suresh said.

YSRCP leader Jagan Reddy demands free re-evaluation of SSC exams, urges action against HRD Minister Lokesh
VIJAYAWADA: YSRCP president and former chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy lambasted the TDP-led NDA government over irregularities surfaced in the evaluation of recently announced SSC examinations. Demanding free re-evaluation of answer sheets and a pause on admission to institutions based on SSC results, he sought action against everyone responsible, including HRD Minister Lokesh. Accusing the government of failing to evaluate answer sheets properly and ensure transparent results, impacting 6.14 lakh students, Jagan, in a post on the social media platform 'X', pointed out that errors led to lost admission opportunities in institutions like IIIT and Gurukul Junior Colleges. He also alleged that the current dispensation has rolled back the educational reforms introduced by his government, including Nadu-Nedu (school infrastructure), Amma Vodi (financial aid to mothers), English-medium education, TOEFL classes from Class 3, and CBSE/IB curricula, harming the students' global competitiveness. The issue has sparked outrage online, with users sharing stories of students losing IIIT seats due to evaluation errors.
