Iran-Israel war: envoy Moghaddam praises JI, Pakistani nation

LAHORE: Iranian ambassador Reza Amiri-Moghaddam has expressed deep gratitude to people of Pakistan and Jamaat-e-Islami for their strong support of Iran in the face of Israeli and American aggression. According to JI media cell at Mansoora, at a luncheon ceremony hosted at the embassy in honour of Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman on Monday, he presented a formal letter of appreciation, lauding the JI's principled stance and the Pakistani people's vocal rejection of the recent Zionist military campaign. According to media cell of JI at Mansoora, speaking at the occasion, Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman commended the Iranian leadership, particularly Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, for demonstrating remarkable resolve in the face of hostile foreign intervention. He conveyed condolences for the Iranian martyrs and solidarity with their families, noting that the Iranian people's steadfast resistance was the key factor in defeating the designs of the U.S. and Israel, who sought regime change in Tehran. Calling for Muslim unity, Rehman stressed the need for Islamic countries to set aside internal differences and stand united against common enemies. He warned that Israel and the United States do not wish to see any Muslim country rise in strength and are systematically working to weaken them one by one. The JI chief also urged for greater economic and strategic cooperation between Iran and Pakistan, including the swift completion of the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline and the initiation of formal mechanisms to import oil from Iran. He proposed a political and defense alliance between Iran, Pakistan, and Turkey, stating that such a pact would serve as a powerful deterrent against external aggression. Praising Iran's unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, he said Tehran's backing of the people of Gaza has reinvigorated the movement for the liberation of Palestine. 'Jamaat-e-Islami stand firmly with the Palestinians until their complete freedom,' he affirmed, adding the JI's commitment to the cause of Al-Quds and the unity of the Ummah transcends all divisions of race, sect, and language. In his letter, Ambassador Amiri-Moghaddam described the recent Zionist aggression—carried out with the backing of the United States and other colonial powers—as a blatant violation of international law and human values. He praised the resilience of the Iranian people, the sacrifices of its armed forces, and the wisdom of its leadership as the reasons for the failure and disgrace of the aggressors. He wrote that the principled and vocal support of Jamaat-e-Islami and the Pakistani people in such a critical moment served as a source of strength and comfort for the Iranian nation and helped reinforce bonds of brotherhood among Islamic nations. He called Rehman solidarity a shining chapter in the historic ties between Iran and Pakistan and a reflection of the deep religious and cultural bonds the two countries share. ‘JI will resist compromise on Kashmir'

RECORDER REPORT: Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman has said that if the government and the establishment compromise on Kashmir to appease Trump, the nation will resist. He said the govt & opposition are engaged in politics of personal gain rather than principles and both come together like close allies when it comes to serving their own interests. He said they are united on Bajwa's extension & on increasing their own salaries. In Karachi, establishment prevented JI from having its mayor elected & imposed PPP mayor instead, he said. Those who trade Kashmir for business and dollars will be made a lesson by the nation, he said and added despite being repeatedly deceived by India, the rulers continue to fall for its traps. Hafiz Naeemur Rehman expressed these views during the concluding address at a training session for party workers from Sheikhupura and Nankana districts, held at Mansoorah, Lahore. He said the American stooges have halted work on the Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline, while Iran has already completed its part. Had the rulers truly cared about the people's hardships, the Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline would have been completed by now, and oil would also be imported from Iran, he said. Hafiz Naeemur Rehman stated that mega corruption scandals have already emerged in KP and Punjab, while Sindh has long been self-sufficient in corruption. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the PTI government is in its 12th year, yet there is still no proper rescue system for those who drown in the Swat River. Politics has been hijacked by feudal lords, landlords, and capitalists. They come to power with the support of the establishment, and when they lose power, they start criticizing it, he elaborated. He said that Pakistan is facing a governance crisis. The entire judicial system is held hostage. Fake verdicts are obtained from the Supreme Court to serve political interests. Through a shameful decision, the Supreme Court distributed reserved seats among the ruling alliance, even though those seats rightfully belonged to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), he said. Now it remains to be seen whether those who talk about principled politics will accept these seats or not, he added. He added that Jamaat-e-Islami's mandate was stolen in the general elections. Several of their won seats were given to other parties. The mayorship of Karachi was also stolen, said Hafiz Naeemur Rehman. He added that Syed Ali Geelani endured imprisonment and hardships for the freedom of Kashmir and spent his entire life fighting Pakistan's cause, yet our rulers never gave him the recognition he truly deserved. He stated that our ruling elite is afraid that if the real heroes are brought to light, there will be no place left for the fake ones. He further said that Emir Jamaat-e-Islami in Indian-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Dr. Abdul Hameed Fayaz, Asiya Andrabi, her ailing husband Qasim Faktoo, Yasin Malik, the ailing Shabir Shah, and hundreds of other leaders of the freedom movement have been imprisoned in Indian jails for years. Yet, the government of Pakistan is not raising their plight on any forum, which is not only regrettable but also condemnable, he concluded. Copyright Business Recorder, 2025

JI urges govt to push for resolution of Kashmir dispute

LAHORE: Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman has said the recent war between Pakistan and India has brought the Kashmir issue back into global focus, urging the Government of Pakistan to seize the moment and push for a resolution of the dispute as per UN resolutions. Speaking at 'Youm-e-Tashakur' (Thanksgiving Day) rallies organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Kashmir in Abbaspur, Hajeera, Dwarandi, and Battal sectors, Rehman emphasized that neither the Kashmiri people nor the people of Pakistan would accept any compromise short of the right to self-determination. 'Without resolving the Kashmir dispute, peace in the region is impossible,' he declared. The JI chief called on the government to ensure the safety of civilians living along the Line of Control (LoC) and to provide both men and women with the necessary training to face wartime conditions. He reiterated that every drop of blood shed by innocent civilians and martyrs during India's recent aggression would be avenged. 'Without a just resolution to the Kashmir issue, any form of trade or normalization with India is unacceptable,' he said. Copyright Business Recorder, 2025

Indian hostilities: JI chief urges govt to convene APC

LAHORE: Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman on Tuesday urged the government to convene an All Parties Conference (APC) in response to Indian hostilities, saying that his party would take the initiative if the government fails to act. Talking to reporters at Mansoora, Rehman criticized the mainstream ruling and opposition parties for not condemning US on its support to Israeli hostilities in Gaza. 'PML-N, PPP, and PTI shy away from condemning Washington. They are locked in a competition to win America's blessings,' he remarked. He said Nawaz Sharif is not speaking against India and Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari is busy courting the United States. Rehman slammed the government for approving massive salary increases for ministers via presidential ordinances ahead of the upcoming budget. 'The salaried class, small farmers, and common citizens are being squeezed to reward already privileged elite. Despite the government's claims of economic improvement, the public remains unaffected,' he said. Government, he said, should grant tax exemptions on monthly salaries of up to Rs120,000.
