1 2 Bhubaneswar: Archana Nag, who was jailed in an alleged honeytrap and extortion case , claimed she had been falsely implicated by police at the behest of influential figures of a political party. Nag was arrested in Oct 2022 and spent 14 months in jail along with her husband, Jagabandhu Chand. "When I was in Jharpada jail, there were attempts to kill me. There was a political conspiracy against me during my imprisonment. I survived only due to the intervention of fellow inmates," Nag said during a press conference in the city on Saturday. Nag alleged procedural irregularities in her arrest, questioning why she was taken into custody in one police station when the FIR was registered at another. She also alleged that evidence from her home, including CCTV footage and electronic devices, was deliberately tampered with and destroyed. She further claimed to be in possession of evidence showing that the original complainant was bribed by a political party, though this evidence was not presented before the media. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Todo sorprendido: Esto alivia años de dolor articular Glycogen Plus Undo Nag also detailed alleged mental harassment during her incarceration, including pressure to leave the state and attempts to label her mentally unstable. Hospital chain Ujala Cygnus appoints Nitin Nag as MD & CEO eyeing expansion
Delhi-based hospital chain Ujala Cygnus on Friday appointed Nitin Nag as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He has nearly 30 years of experience across healthcare and IT, having worked in India, the United Kingdom, United States, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, and Malaysia, the company said. Most recently, Nag was Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Cloudnine Hospitals, where he led national expansion, introduced new services, and helped revive underperforming facilities, the company said in a press release. Earlier, he was COO at Manipal Ankur, a joint venture between Ankur and Manipal Hospitals. He also held roles at Tech Mahindra and MphasiS, focusing on business operations, it added. "His experience in scaling healthcare delivery, combined with his deep operational acumen, will be pivotal in advancing our mission — to deliver high-quality, affordable care where it's needed the most," said Dr Shuchin Bajaj, Founder Director, Ujala Cygnus. Meanwhile, Nag said, 'What excites me deeply is how we are not only transforming healthcare access for patients, but also empowering a new generation of doctors — especially those in Tier-II and Tier-III cities — with the infrastructure, clinical systems, and support they need to practise world-class medicine.' Ujala Cygnus, backed by US-based private equity (PE) firm General Atlantic and the Amar Ujala group, acquired around 60 per cent stake in Punjab-based Amandeep Hospitals earlier this year. With the partnership, the company now operates 26 hospitals with nearly 2,800 beds across Tier-II and Tier-III cities in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Haryana.

Bharat Dynamics shares drop 2% as Motilal Oswal sees downside in stock
By Aman Shukla Published on July 10, 2025, 09:24 IST Shares of Bharat Dynamics Ltd (BDL) fell 2% after Motilal Oswal Financial Services initiated coverage with a 'Neutral' rating and a price target that suggests a 4% downside. The brokerage acknowledged BDL's strong fundamentals and growth prospects but flagged current valuations as a concern. As of 9:23 AM, the shares were trading 2.23% lower at Rs 1,941.50. Motilal Oswal praised BDL's leadership across missile systems like Akash, Nag, and QRSAM, and highlighted its robust ₹22,700 crore order book and ₹50,000 crore pipeline as key growth drivers. With easing supply chain issues and upcoming defense orders, revenue is expected to grow at a solid 35% CAGR over FY25–28E, while EBITDA and PAT could surge at 64% and 51% CAGRs respectively. The company's focus on indigenization and backward integration aligns well with the government's Atmanirbhar Bharat push, supporting healthy margins of 24–26%. Still, the brokerage noted that at current P/E valuations of 70x FY26E and 38x FY28E, the stock looks fully priced. Bharat Dynamics shares in focus today as Motilal Oswal sees downside in stock, initiates neutral call
Motilal Oswal Financial Services has initiated coverage on Bharat Dynamics Ltd (BDL) with a 'Neutral' rating and a price target that implies a 4% downside, citing fair valuations despite strong earnings growth visibility and robust order book dynamics. The brokerage highlighted that it likes the company's business model, backed by its established leadership across multiple missile platforms, including Akash, Nag, and QRSAM, and a robust order book of ₹22,700 crore, providing solid revenue visibility for the next several years. In addition, BDL is well-positioned to benefit from a strong ₹50,000 crore pipeline, including critical defense acquisitions and emergency procurements from the Indian Armed Forces. According to Motilal Oswal's estimates, the easing of global and domestic supply chain challenges and the upcoming large-scale defense orders could drive a revenue CAGR of 35% over FY25–28E. The company's EBITDA margin is expected to remain healthy at around 24–26%, supported by its growing focus on indigenization and backward integration—two themes strongly aligned with the government's Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative. As a result, the brokerage forecasts a sharp 64% CAGR in EBITDA and 51% CAGR in PAT over the next three years, positioning BDL among the fastest-growing defense PSUs in India. The company's efforts in expanding its product mix and enhancing manufacturing capabilities are also being viewed positively. However, despite this promising growth outlook, Motilal Oswal believes the current valuations limit the near-term upside. At a price-to-earnings multiple of 70x FY26E, 52x FY27E, and 38x FY28E, the stock appears fully priced for now, especially when compared to its historical average and peers in the public-sector defense ecosystem. 'We believe BDL's fundamentals are sound, and its strategic importance to India's defense program is undeniable,' the note said. 'But given the sharp run-up in the stock and the current multiples, we would prefer to wait for more attractive entry points to re-engage meaningfully.' Bharat Dynamics has seen a significant rerating over the past year, buoyed by increased government orders, faster execution of backlogs, and a sharp increase in investor appetite for defense manufacturing companies. However, the broader sector is also grappling with long procurement cycles and execution risks, which could make the rally volatile. With defense continuing to be a key pillar of India's strategic growth story and BDL playing a pivotal role in missile system development, investors may need to be selective with timing, Motilal Oswal added.
