CM felicitates sanitary workers
Tirupati: As a token of appreciation of sanitary workers whose efforts helped Municipal Corporation Commissioner Narapureddy Mourya (MCT) bag the national award in Swachh Survekshan competition, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu felicitated the sanitary workers on Saturday. During his visit to the Police Parade Ground for Praja Vedika programme, the Chief Minister in the presence of Commissioner Mourya felicitated the sanitary workers. The Chief Minister appreciated Municipal Commissioner Narapureddy Mourya, health department officials and workers for their hard work im keeping the pilgrim city clean and tidy and wanted the corporation to do its best in making the city cleanest in the country. The two workers who were much elated for getting felicitated by none other than the State Chief Minister said it enthused the entire 1,000 and above sanitary workers in the corporation to work with renewed vigour to see the corporation achieves many more awards.

Avail municipal services through Puramitra app
Tirupati: MunicipalCorporation Commissioner Narapureddy Mourya said the Puramitra App introduced by the Municipal Administration department will help the residents avail all the municipal services from their homes. People can pay taxes, file complaints and also avail all other services through the App and wanted all the residents to make use of the App. The Commissioner along with senior officials inspected the door-to-door survey which was taken up by the government Statewide to collect details of the people living in the urban areas including their socio-economic condition employment, education etc. Directing the field staff to strive for early completion of door-to-door service, she urged the residents to extend their cooperation to the survey aimed at preparing a comprehensive report on the people living in the urban areas. Trainee Collector Raghuvamsi and Deputy Commissioner Amaraiah were also present.

Civic chief vows to solve petitions during open forum
Tirupati: The Municipal Corporation Commissioner Narapureddy Mourya on Friday directed the town planning department officials to solve the petitions received in the weekly 'Open Forum '. Speaking at the open forum held in the corporation office here on Friday, she wanted the town planning officials to take strict measures to see that no constructions without approval. The commissioner also sought the town planning department to gear up in the collection of charges from the advertisement agencies which is pending for long. She also instructed the ward secretaries to take up collection of the pending advertisement dues in their areas. In this connection, she directed officials not to allow advertisement agencies to put up flexi and banners without permission and take steps to remove unauthorized banners and flexi. Meanwhile, the residents of the Khadi Colony whose houses were partly or fully demolished for master plan roads met the Commissioner on the pending payment of compensation. She assured them to solve the problem as early as possible. DCP Khan, ACP Balaji, Murthy, TPBOs Madhusudhan, Vamsi were present.

Yogandhra campaign begins in city
Tirupati: The 24-day long Yogandra campaign aimed to promote healthy lifestyle among children, youth and adults began on Monday. The Corporation Commissioner, Narapureddy Mourya said individual and group yoga competitions also cultural and general knowledge competitions. She announced that the theme for competition is 'Yoga for All' happening from May 26th to 30th at village level, 'Yoga for Unity' at town level from June 2nd June 7th, 'Yoga and Youth - Future health' at district level from June 9th to June 14th and 'Yogandra' at state level from June 16th to June 18th. She said the competition will be held for different categories: Juniors (10-18 years), middle aged (19 to 35 years), and seniors (35 above). She said on May 30th various competitions will be held including Yoga quiz, poster, slogan, short film and photography. Commissioner said that ward level winners will be eligible to participate for the city level competitions, and city level winners for district level competitions. Committees and nodal officers are also appointed for the success of Yogandra campaign.

Political parties told to appoint booth-level agents
Tirupati: Municipal Corporation Commissioner and Tirupati constituency electoral officer Narapureddy Mourya sought the recognised political parties to appoint their booth level agents for approval. Following the orders of AP Chief Electoral Officer, Mourya on Friday held a meeting with the representatives of recognised political parties on the revision of voter list. She said, the booth level officers (BLOs) were completed the verification of the voter list in their respective localities and if any updates required for the voter list it will be taken up on the request. The BLOs provided Form-8 for the voter who shifted their residence and also correction of entries including misspelled names, wrong age and incorrect address. She sought the cooperation of the political parties for the preparation of the voter list for Tirupati assembly constituency in a transparent manner. Deputy Commissioner Amaraiah, recognised political parties' representatives and others were present.
