Lottery players have just three days left to claim £3.6m prize

Lottery players have just three days left to claim £3.6m prize The rules will change after Sunday, July 13 at 5pm No-one has yet come forward to claim the prize Lottery players are being urged to check their tickets as there are just days left to claim a £3,613,887 prize before the rules change. The EuroMillions ticket was bought for the draw on June 13, 2025, and the missing ticket-holder matched all five main numbers and one Lucky Star number. The winning numbers that night were 2, 28, 40, 43, 45 and the Lucky Star numbers were 3 and 7. ‌ Andy Carter, Senior Winners' Advisor at Allwyn, operators of The National Lottery said: 'It's important that any player who is not in possession of their ticket, for whatever reason, but who thinks they have a genuine claim to this prize notifies us in writing by 5pm on Sunday 13 July, 2025 at the latest. We're desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings, this amazing prize could really make a massive difference to somebody's life.' ‌ Andy continued: 'It's important to note that with the winning ticket in their possession, the ticket-holder has until 10 December 2025 to make their claim." Under its licence Allwyn has the discretion to pay prizes in respect of lost, destroyed or stolen National Lottery tickets only if the player has submitted a claim in writing within 30 days of the relevant draw. If the player can provide sufficient evidence, Allwyn will investigate and consider the validity of the claim. Article continues below Allwyn will then determine at its discretion whether the claim is valid and is able to pay the prize 180 days after the draw. The deadline for any such claim for this EuroMillions prize, which must be submitted in writing, is 5pm on Sunday 13 July, 2025.2 In the draw on June 13 the EuroMillions jackpot was at its cap of €250M (approximately £208m). At cap, prize money which would have boosted the jackpot rolled down to the next prize tier with winners (usually the five main numbers and one Lucky Star number) and increased its value. This created a total of five UK ticket-holders who won £3.6M for matching the five main numbers and one Lucky Star number in the draw on 13 June, including this yet-to-come-forward ticket-holder in the Council District of Fife. Players can check their tickets online by downloading the National Lottery app or at Players can also check tickets in retail. Playing online via the app or website means that your ticket is checked, and you get an email notification if you win a prize. You can also scan your retail tickets on the National Lottery app to check if you're a winner. Article continues below If no-one comes forward with the winning ticket before the prize claim deadline, then the prize money, plus all the interest it has generated, will go to help National Lottery-funded projects across the UK. With all National Lottery draws, players have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize if they have the winning ticket. Anyone who has any queries or who believes they have the winning ticket for any of the National Lottery draws within the 180-day deadline should call the National Lottery Line on 0333 234 5050 or email help@

Builder 'with £12 in bank' shares 'dream' purchase after £1m scratch card win

A builder said his bank balance jumped from '£12.40 to £1,000,012.40' after he won a life-changing National Lottery prize - lucky Adam Lopez revealed what his first purchase with the cash was A lucky builder who bagged an eye-watering £1million on a National Lottery scratch card has revealed what his first purchase after the huge win was. Adam Lopez, 39, said he is choosing to take a break from work while he plans his future after his bank balance increased 'from £12.40 to £1,000,012.40'. Adam, from Norwich, said he has used his funds to swap his forklift for his "dream car". The 39-year-old said he travelled home to the house he shares with his mum, Danica, and stepdad, Andrew, to reveal the news of his winnings, adding the call to claim his prize was "the best call I've ever made". ‌ ‌ Discussing the life-changing moment he realised he had won, Adam said: "I stopped to pick up a drink and bought a scratchcard at the same time. "Once in the car I played the scratchcard and when I saw the £1 million, I didn't know what to do with myself, so shoved the scratchcard in the glovebox without even thinking. I always thought I'd scream if I ever won big but when it actually happened, I was stunned into complete silence!" The builder shared how his family reacted, saying: "It was the most surreal moment when the lady from the National Lottery confirmed that I was a millionaire! My mum went off like a balloon she was so excited for me! Seeing my balance go from £12.40 to £1,000,012.40 was a real 'pinch me' moment!" Adam has ditched the forklift he usually drives at work and replaced it with a Range Rover Sport and treated his mum to a Range Rover Evoque. The builder said: "Sadly we lost my dad eight years ago, he always said that he'd take care of us, and I think in some way this win has come from him. "So, when I treated myself to my dream car, I knew I had to make mum's dream come true too. Seeing how happy it made her when she got behind the wheel of her new car was even better than when I found out I had won!" ‌ Adam has also booked a family holiday to Barbados for next year with his winnings. He added: "Never in my wildest dreams did I think this would happen to me, I feel so blessed. I've given myself a budget to have fun, a pot to treat people I love and the rest I'm saving for the future. "I plan to use this time to enjoy myself and get fit, as I want to travel more next year. The trip to Barbados is going to be amazing and I'm also hoping to visit friends in New York. Who knows, I may even book a first-class ticket as I've always wanted to turn left on an aeroplane – thanks to this win I can make that dream a reality too!" The builder bought his winning Scratchcard from a Premier store on Reepham Road, Norwich. It costs £5 to play and there is a one in 3.33 overall chance of winning a prize, with prizes ranging from £5 to the top prize of £1 million. The National Lottery generates on average more than £30m each week for National Lottery-funded projects. It has awarded more than £95 billion in prizes and created more than 7,400 millionaires or multimillionaires since its launch in 1994.
