573 hospitals in state get NQAS certificate
Patna: With an aim to improve the quality of management and treatment in the state's govt hospitals, the health department is working to get hospitals recognised with three types of certifications. This will not only help patients get better treatment but also develop a better work culture inside the hospitals. According to a report of the health department, out of a total of 13,078 hospitals in the state, 573 have been awarded the National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS) certificate so far. Rest 432 hospitals have been awarded Kayakalp and 27 have been awarded Lakshya certification. On July 8 this month, the district hospitals of Supaul, Kishanganj and Munger have been awarded NQAS certification. Supaul and Munger have also received Lakshya certification.
