DIG Syed Asad Raza confirmed that she had been living alone in the flat for the past seven years. 'The body seemed to be 30-35 days old,' he said, adding that a formal inquiry is now underway. No signs of foul play have been confirmed, and the case is currently being treated as a possible natural death pending autopsy results.

According to an India Today report, Humaira's body was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for examination. Dr. Summaiya Syed, who is overseeing the autopsy, noted that the body was in such an advanced stage of decomposition that determining the exact cause of death will take time. Forensic samples have been collected, and police are urging the public not to speculate while the investigation is still open.
