Suspicious Pak boat off Raigad coast turns out to be buoy, security stepped up

A Pakistani buoy, which floated off Indian waters, was spotted near Revdanda coast in Maharashtra's Raigad early Monday, following which security along the coastline in the district was stepped up. The buoy did not have any persons on it, an official said, adding that it has been seized. Buoy, with GPS trackers installed in it, is generally used to prevent the nets used by fishermen to catch fish from sinking. Security agencies are, however, undertaking various measures to ensure that no one manages to enter Raigad. On Sunday, a 'suspicious boat' named Muqaddar Buaya with a Pakistan flag was moving in the Indian territorial waters between 18 and 20 nautical miles from Colaba lighthouse and it eventually reached Raigad between 4 am and 5 am on Monday. The Naval Headquarters in Delhi had alerted the Indian Coast Guard and the Indian Navy regarding this. Following the alert, teams from Raigad Police, Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), Quick Response Team (QRT), the Navy and the Coast Guard rushed to the spot. Raigad Superintendent of Police Anchal Dalal, along with senior police officials, reached the coast to monitor the situation, the official said. Efforts to trace the 'boat' were hampered by heavy rain and strong winds. However, it turned out to be a fishing net buoy and the Coast Guard reported that it has been carried into Indian waters with Class B AIS Transponders, the official said On January 3, this year, a similar buoy was found in Gujarat's Okha, the official added. However, all marine police station officers have been instructed to be vigilant. The official said that various teams of 52 officers and 554 police personnel from the Raigad District Police Force have been deployed to prevent any possible infiltration and sabotage through the sea route.

Op Sindoor Leaked: How Indian Navy staffer was lured by Pak handler ‘Priya Sharma' into spying

A routine social media romance turned into a national security breach. Vishal Yadav, an Upper Division Clerk at Naval Headquarters in Delhi, has been arrested for leaking sensitive defence information, including classified updates from Operation Sindoor, to a Pakistani handler posing as 'Priya Sharma' on Facebook. Like a previous espionage case involving Ravi Meena in 2022, Yadav fell into a similar trap: chats moved from Facebook to WhatsApp to Telegram, with encrypted messages and payments exchanged for secrets. Authorities say he sold intel related to India's cross-border military strikes in Pakistan and PoK, earning nearly ₹2 lakh. Forensic checks confirmed files, chats, and financial links. The case highlights growing threats from digital espionage networks exploiting romantic traps and social media. Are our insiders secure enough? This report exposes the modern face of spying in the digital age.#operationsindoor #vishalyadav #priyasharma #indiannavy #espionagecase #navysecrets #pakistanhandler #priyasharma #spynetwork #toi #toibharat #bharat #breakingnews #indianews Read More

Money, social media trail exposes spy's links with ISI

Jaipur: Intelligence agencies are conducting a detailed investigation into the financial links between a Pakistani ISI handler and Vishal Yadav, an Upper Division Clerk (UDC) posted at the Naval Headquarters in Delhi. Yadav, who was arrested in Delhi and brought to Jaipur Wednesday, allegedly received money directly in his bank account and through cryptocurrency transactions for spying for Pakistan. The money trail played a crucial role in leading investigators to his arrest. Suspicion over Yadav's activities surfaced during a review of Facebook accounts flagged in a 2022 espionage case involving one Ravi Prakash Meena, a Class IV employee posted at Sena Bhawan in Delhi. Meena was arrested by the Rajasthan police's intelligence wing in Oct 2022 for allegedly leaking sensitive military information to Pakistani handlers. He was lured into the network by a woman identifying herself as Anjali Tiwari on social media, who later moved their conversation to encrypted platforms. Investigators probing Meena's case placed several suspicious social media accounts under surveillance, including one named "Priya Sharma." Yadav's name came up during this review. As the surveillance on Yadav deepened, officials found that he too shared sensitive military information, including updates on military operations such as Op Sindoor. Payments were made to Yadav in small instalments, ranging from Rs 5,000 to Rs 6,000 for low-level information and up to Rs 50,000 for high-value intelligence. Some of the transactions were made using USDT cryptocurrency. A senior official said that Yadav is a resident of a village in Rewari district, Haryana. His family, currently based in Rewari city, includes several members who served in the police force. His father, a former assistant sub-inspector in the Haryana police, took voluntary retirement about a decade ago. Yadav joined the Navy five years ago after clearing the SSB examination. During a forensic examination of Yadav's phone, investigators recovered encrypted messages, financial records and sensitive files. His extensive involvement in online gaming also surfaced during the probe. Yadav was presented in court Thursday and remanded to four days of police custody.
