Egypt's Grand Mufti Meets Pakistani Ambassador to Discuss Religious Cooperation
H-Tayea The Ambassador of Pakistan to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Aamir Shouket, met today with the Grand Mufti of Egypt, Nazir Mohammed Ayyad, at Dar Al-Ifta in Cairo. The meeting underscored the strong and longstanding religious and cultural ties between Pakistan and Egypt. During the cordial discussion, Ambassador Aamir Shouket conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of the Government and people of Pakistan to the Grand Mufti. He expressed appreciation for the respected role that Al-Azhar scholars have played in promoting the true and moderate values of Islam around the world. The Ambassador also noted with satisfaction the continuing cooperation between the two countries in the field of religious education and scholarship. Egypt's Mufti Condemns Israeli Occupation Forces' Unacceptable West Bank Attack
Mohamed Mandour Dr. Nazir Mohammed Ayyad, Grand Mufti of Egypt and President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, strongly condemned the targeting of an international diplomatic delegation by Israeli occupation forces during their visit to the city of Jenin. He described the attack as a flagrant violation of diplomatic norms and a blatant breach of international law.
