Missing Bushbuckridge woman found dead
The body of Aseza Nongeni (29), who had been reported missing, was found on Wednesday, July 3.
Preliminary police investigations suggest she was murdered. According to the Mpumalanga police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Jabu Ndubane, her body was discovered hidden under a mattress in a rental room of a male friend.
She was located not far from where she had been living in Malainini, Bushbuckridge.
'Aseza was identified by her sister, Ndileka. They are originally from the Eastern Cape. A case of murder has been opened, and the investigation has commenced. The police are appealing to a man known as Saloni Horacio Gwambe, believed to be a 32-year-old Mozambican national, to urgently make contact with the police as he may be able to assist with the investigation,' said Ndubane.
Ndileka said she last spoke to Aseza on the afternoon of June 27.
