New York City InDel Valle, Nedearnestly takes the audience through his debaucherous days in NYC, his Hollywood acting career and his time in a Texas prison - where the almost-famous actor was recognised by a high-ranking inmate who offered "protection" in exchange for acting lessons. Tony Award-winner Craig Balsam is the producer of Del Valle, a play that follows themes of addiction, queerness, celebrity, survival and ultimately, redemption. Ned has already featured in the documentaries Who Killed Nancy? and Sad Vacation, which explore the many theories behind the tragic deaths of Sid and Nancy, but now Ned is telling the story on his own terms. Brooke and Ned met in high school, with their friendship later turning into a romance after graduating. The couple purchased their first home together in 2023, to share with their two adorable dogs, Wally and Maisy. It was on a morning hike in September of that year that Ned got down on one knee to propose. They had just finished hiking the 16km Eagle View Walk at John Forrest National Park, when they reached a lookout and the special moment took place. Bride Brooke revealed the speeches by their loved ones was a special highlight of their magical wedding day, which saw their vision come to life and was 'everything they hoped for'. The big day took place on April 5, 2025, at Tradewinds Hotel in Fremantle. The couple attended its opening in October 2023 and booked it as their wedding venue the very next day, knowing it would be incredible from the moment they saw it. Brooke first saw her dream dress when a promotional email landed in her inbox and she knew she had to try it on. It turned out her gut feeling was right and she fell in love with the Pen Liv strapless gown, which she purchased at Dion for Brides. The groom, Ned, wore a suit from MJ Bale, alongside his groomsmen. The couple jetted to Bali, Indonesia, to stay in Nusa Dua and relax by the pool with a cocktail in hand. 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' changed pivotal Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire scene after director looked at Reddit

You know, Jon Watts is something of a Redditor himself. The filmmaker behind Spider-Man: No Way Home recently discussed the challenges of uniting Tom Holland with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield — who played other iterations of Marvel's web-swinger in previous movies — in the multiversal blockbuster during a panel at the Mediterrane Film Festival. Speaking to Collider's Steve Weintraub, Watts explained how the introduction of Maguire and Garfield's characters evolved over the course of production, noting that the older versions of Peter Parker were intended to arrive in a scene where Holland's version of the character is mourning the death of Aunt May (Marisa Tomei). "There had been rumors that Tobey and Andrew were going to be in the movie, and this is while we're shooting," the director said. "We were writing the script, and we were working on where we wanted to reveal the guys, and it always seemed like Peter's going to be sad because Aunt May has just died, and that the portals are going to open, and the two Spider-Men are going to step out." Watts had a vague idea of where the three Spider-Men would first join forces. "It's probably a rooftop somewhere," he said. "It's all sort of hazy. You're still trying to figure it out." However, the filmmaker poked around online and discovered that fans had predicted that pivotal moment exactly as he'd first envisioned it. "Then I was on Reddit, and I was looking at people who had already made fan art of, 'This is probably what it's going to be like when the two Spider-Men get revealed,'" Watts recalled. "It was on a rooftop. It was sad, two Doctor Strange portals were open and two Spider-Men are stepping out. I was like, 'Well, we can't do that. If that's exactly what everyone thinks we're going to do, we absolutely can't do that.'" The film ultimately introduced Garfield and Maguire in a different location, and without Holland's character present when they first arrive in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Rather than showing up simultaneously on a rooftop, the other Peters are accidentally summoned by Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon), who uses the magical sling ring belonging to Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) to bring the alternate Peters into Ned's family home. Watts explained how the Reddit art prompted him to play with audience expectations. "I was like, 'What does no one expect that we're going to do? What's something that no one's going to see coming?'" he recalled. "I was like, 'Probably having the two Spider-Men appear at Ned's Filipino grandma's house in Queens. I don't think anyone was doing fan art of that on Reddit.'"Including Ned's grandmother, played by Mary Rivera, provided the zig-zag that Watts wanted for the scene. "It was the middle of the pandemic, so we had to find a lady and fly her from Hawaii to Atlanta to shoot all of this," he said. "So, as soon as you put her in that scene and change the location, now I feel like I've double-crossed the audience in the best way, where they're seeing everything that they were hoping that they would see in a way that they were never expecting they were going to." 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' intro scenes for Tobey & Andrew were changed after a fan guessed plot twist, Watts confirmed

Although and 's 2021 appearance in Tom Holland's Spider-Man: No Way Home may be one of the most exciting scenes in the MCU's history, the two former Spider-Mans' entrance into the MCU wasn't initially portrayed as such; instead, Ned was drawn into Tom's timeline by Doctor Strange's sling ring. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Throughout the movie, it showed the rings opening the portals as Andrew and Tobey entered and became trapped on Tom's side. Actually, director had a different idea for their opening. However, the entire plan was modified by a fan's guesswork! Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire in Spider-Man: No Way Home At the Mediterranean Film Festival, Watts told Collider that he had to change the story's opening scenes after a Reddit user foresaw his initial concept. Watts discussed the fan speculation that the two former Spider-Man actors would make an appearance in the third installment of the MCU film. "There had been rumors that Tobey and Andrew were going to be in the movie, and this is while we're shooting. We were writing the script, and we were working on where we wanted to reveal the guys, and it always seemed like Peter's going to be sad because Aunt May has just died, and that the portals are going to open, and the two Spider-Men are going to step out," he remarked. A Reddit post modified the strategy Watts talked about finding a fan-made image on Reddit that resembled the scene he had originally planned. "Then I was on Reddit, and I was looking at people who had already made fan art of, 'This is probably what it's going to be like when the two Spider-Men get revealed.' It was on a rooftop. It was sad; two Doctor Strange portals were open, and two Spider-Men were stepping out. I was like, 'Well, we can't do that. If that's exactly what everyone thinks we're going to do, we absolutely can't do that. '" At that point, they modified the scene to include a surprise element for fans and moved it to Ned's (Jacob Batalon) grandmother's house. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now "So, after I saw all this fan art, and I decided, 'We absolutely can't do just exactly what everyone thinks we're going to do,' I was like, 'What does no one expect that we're going to do? What's something that no one's going to see coming? I was like, 'Probably having the two Spider-Men appear at Ned's Filipino grandma's house in Queens. I don't think anyone was doing fan art of that on Reddit.' It made perfect sense in the story because it's kind of the first time we leave Peter's narrative," the filmmaker revealed. Regarding Spider-Man: No Way Home Due to the portal's opening, Spider-Man: No Way Home, which also starred and Benedict Cumberbatch, brought back a number of other Spider-Man actors from earlier series. With appearances by Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, Jamie Foxx, and others, the film proved an emotional roller coaster for Marvel fans.

Emmerdale Joe star lets slip identity of blackmailer - and it's not Dr Crowley

Joe Tate star Ned Porteous has seemingly dropped a hint that his blackmailer might not be Dr Crowley in a shocking turn of events on Emmerdale next week Joe Tate star Ned Porteous has teased an unexpected person might be his unknown blackmailer on Emmerdale. On next week's episodes of Emmerdale, Joe is left scared when he sees a blackmail demand for £100,000. Joe has been relying on the support of Sam Dingle and he turns to Sam to discuss the blackmail letter and who it might be from. Worried it might be his henchman Shaun, Joe sacks him - but has he made a mistake? ‌ An angry Shaun turns on Joe but Sam appears just in the nick of time with a gun in hand. Worried and concerned, Joe decides he needs to head away - but as he packs his things, he is knocked out by a shovel. ‌ Joe wakes up in a makeshift hospital room and a menacing Dr Crowley stands above him. Will Joe regret on hiring the doctor to help with his illegal kidney transplant - or what else is in store for Joe? Actor Ned Porteous revealed to us what it was like working with Dr Crowley actor James Hillier. "James Hillier is a really nice guy and I enjoy working with him," he said, "The character that he built is fun and has more dimensions than just a helper. I think it's cool. He serves as a very interesting character going forward." Teasing there were big scenes ahead, Ned warned: "Hopefully, the audience likes what we do with it. It gets a bit crazy." Ned also insisted in one way he felt for Joe but understood the way he went about it was "completely unethical". ‌ "I'd like to believe he is just doing what he has to do to survive. I think he would hold that mirror up to everyone and say, 'What would you do if your life really depended on it?' People say they wouldn't want to, and it's not the right thing to do," he said. "Of course it's the wrong thing to do. It's completely unethical, completely immoral, but he was fighting for his life, and now he's just having to pick up the scraps, I guess." Ned didn't specify who Joe might be being blackmailed by but he did hint it could be "anyone". He told The Mirror and other press: "It could be anyone, by this point, couldn't it. There are enough people in the village who have it in for Joe." Could Ned be hinting someone we least expect might be the blackmailer in a huge twist?
