Jamai No. 1's Abhishek Malik recreates Allu Arjun-inspired look from Pushpa 2; says 'I got goosebumps because the look is a complete replica'
Popular fiction drama Jamai No. 1 is set to serve viewers a visually arresting and emotionally charged twist as Neel (Abhishek Malik) transforms into a never-before-seen avatar of Goddess Kaali Maa—one that channels the iconic intensity of Allu Arjun 's look from Pushpa 2. In a first for Hindi television, the male lead steps into a divine and powerful form that blends cinematic flair with raw emotional gravitas. As the plot thickens with Riddhi's ( Simaran Kaur ) kidnapping and Neel's desperate mission to rescue her, viewers are in for a high-voltage visual experience. To bring this striking transformation to life, Abhishek's makeover is no small feat—it took close to two hours each day, with full-body paint, dramatic eye makeup, elaborate temple jewellery, and a traditionally draped saree completing the intense look. What truly ups the ante? Abhishek performed a stylised, high-energy action sequence in this avatar, engaging in combat while draped in the heavy ensemble, bringing together devotion, adrenaline, and drama in a way that's never been attempted before. Abhishek said, 'Honestly, I was genuinely thrilled when I first heard about this track and I was going to play as Goddess Kaali Ma. I got goosebumps because the look is a complete replica of Allu Arjun's iconic avatar from Pushpa 2—fierce, intense, and rooted in power. We did a look test, and the response was amazing. Everyone on set loved it, and I even got a call from our producer saying, 'This look was made for you.' That meant a lot to me. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch CFD với công nghệ và tốc độ tốt hơn IC Markets Đăng ký Undo It's something completely out-of-the-box—something that's never been attempted on Indian television before. This is a high-octane track, and what makes it even more exciting is that there's a major fight sequence woven into it. It felt like those grand, stylised action scenes in Indian cinema. The transformation process itself was quite intense. It took nearly two hours to get into the avatar, from the body paint to the heavy saree and elaborate temple jewellery. Everything was detailed and weighty. Performing powerful action sequences in that look was physically exhausting, but also incredibly empowering.' He added, 'This is, without a doubt, one of the most challenging and creatively fulfilling sequences I've ever shot. This look is unlike anything the audience has seen before on Hindi GEC. Jamai No.1 has always pushed boundaries, and this track is a perfect example. We've been shooting this sequence for over two days, and just removing and reapplying the paint and makeup each time is a task in itself—but I truly hope the audience feels the emotion, energy, and effort we've put into it. ' While Abhishek is all set to be a part of this power-packed sequence in the show, it will be interesting for the viewers to watch what happens when Neel enters the courtroom with Riddhi in his Kaali Maa avatar just as the judge is about to announce a life sentence for him. Will he surrender himself, or will Riddhi find a way to save him from the false accusation? Muskuraane Ki Vajah Tum Ho actor Abhishek Malik shows his last clicked selfie on his phone

Simaran Kaur goes undercover in a moustache & wig to rescue Neel in Jamai No. 1, says ' This was one of the most fun and challenging sequences'
TV's light-hearted family drama Jamai No. 1 continues to win over audiences with its mix of laughter, emotion, and unexpected twists. The show follows the journey of Neel (Abhishek Malik), who enters his wife Riddhi's ( Simaran Kaur ) household as a ghar jamai, setting off a series of hilarious and heartfelt events. In the upcoming episodes, the stakes get higher—and funnier—as Riddhi and her entire family pull off a complex rescue mission to help Neel escape trouble at the police station. In a side-splitting yet dramatic sequence, Riddhi goes completely undercover, disguising herself as a male pest control worker—complete with a wig, cap, gloves, overalls, and a convincingly comical moustache. Simaran Kaur's transformation is both impressive and entertaining, adding a delightful twist to the narrative. The entire family poses as a fake pest control team, armed with spray tanks and protective gear, in a desperate bid to break Neel free without raising suspicion. What follows is a chaotic yet emotionally driven sequence that blends comedy, suspense, and family dynamics. Simaran Kaur said, 'This was one of the most fun and challenging sequences I've done on the show so far. The entire process of getting into the look took time—from the wig to fixing the moustache, getting into the overalls, and adjusting my body language to appear like a man. It was hilarious because we all looked so different, my co-actors and I couldn't stop laughing seeing each other in these getups. We even did our own mirror rehearsals just to perfect the walk and mannerisms. As an actor, I love experimenting with new looks and characters, and this disguise gave me a chance to do something completely unexpected. It was a memorable shoot, and I'm sure the audience will enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed performing it!' While Riddhi had fun shooting into this new look for the show, it will be interesting for the viewers to witness if she will be successful in getting Neel out of the police station or will Sayli (Sonal Vengurlekar) will create more difficulties in their lives.

Neel Samarthh: Sometimes doing nothing in a beautiful place is the best way to feel it
For actor Neel Samarthh, who's currently winning hearts with his role in Sabse Bada Rupaiya and gearing up for his upcoming web series, travelling isn't just a hobby — it's a personal journey that nourishes his soul. 'To be honest, I didn't even realize when I fell in love with travelling,' he shares. 'It started with curiosity, wanting to know what life feels like in other parts of the world. The turning point was my first international trip. The feeling of landing somewhere new, hearing a different language, getting a little lost, trying new food… it was exciting.' Despite his hectic shooting schedules, Neel makes sure to travel at least once every year. 'Breaks are not just a luxury, they're a necessity,' he says. 'I don't wait for the perfect time. I block my dates and plan work around it. Sometimes I wrap up back-to-back shoots just to earn that escape. It's always worth it.' Talking about his travel preferences, Neel adds, 'It really depends on my mood. I've done solo trips where I've walked whole cities on foot without a plan. It felt freeing. But I also enjoy travelling with people who bring good energy.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Free P2,000 GCash eGift UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo Recalling one of his favourite trips, Neel shares, 'My recent trip to Paris was unforgettable. The city has a soul of its own. We were a small group, but the memories felt larger than life — sunrise at the Eiffel Tower, random street musicians, getting lost in alleys… it felt like living inside a movie.' Calling himself a "relaxed explorer", Neel confesses, 'I don't like rushing through tourist spots. I prefer finding a hidden bookshop or sitting at a quiet café. Sometimes, doing nothing in a beautiful place is the best way to feel it.' As for his next adventures? 'A road trip through the Scottish Highlands or spending a whole month exploring Italy, town by town — that's on my list.'
