Celebrity Parenting Controversies That Sparked Outrage
Jana Kramer is not a fan of giving her kids sunscreen. 'I don't use sunscreen on my kids unless it's going to be for hours outside because I know they don't burn," Jana said on a recent episode of the Whine Down podcast. "And there's so much bad stuff in sunscreen that if we're not going to be out there for more than a couple hours, listen, come at me. But I'm just not putting it on.' 'I will if we're on the beach for hours… Like, I'll put it on his neck, his ears — the baby — but the kids, I haven't put on any on them because I'm like, they're not getting burned. What's worse, the burn or the suntan lotion?' Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard would lock their then-3-year-old daughter in her room until she fell asleep, but it's not as harsh as it sounds. Alicia Silverstone preferred to bird-feed her son when he was younger — as in, she would pre-chew his food and then pass the food from her mouth to his. During a 2021 episode of the Armchair Expert podcast, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis got into a discussion with hosts Dax Shepard and Monica Padman about their and their children's bathing how often they use soap. Dax theorized that people "should not be getting rid of the natural oil on your skin with a bar of soap every day.""I didn't have hot water growing up as a child, so I didn't shower much anyway," Mila said. Many people in the comments believed Chanel was too old to be pushed around by her parents. The family was vacationing in the Bahamas when Coco shared this photo."Why do they have a 6-year-old in a stroller?" someone asked. While another person commented, "SHE IS SO CUTE BUT LOOKS MISERABLE IN THAT STROLLER."Many news outlets picked up the story, including CNN, which got caught in the crossfire when Ice-T decided to respond: "Lol… CNN? Really?" the rapper tweeted in 2022. "MFs ain't got shit else to talk about.. F em all. Smh. Lol." Jamie Oliver made his kids eat chili peppers as a form of punishment. 'I give them chillies for punishment,' the popular TV chef said. 'It is not very popular beating kids anymore, it's not very fashionable, and you are not allowed to do it, and if you are a celebrity chef like me, it does not look very good in the paper. So you need a few options.' '[My daughter] Poppy was quite disrespectful and rude to me and she pushed her luck,' he continued. Whenever her daughter left clothes on the floor, Madonna had an interesting method to prevent her from doing it again. Ashanti and Nelly began dating in 2003 and split for what they thought was the final time around 2013. Life is all about second chances, and they rekindled the flame in 2023. Nelly Attacks Kamala Harris Supporters After Fans Blast Him For Trump Inauguration Support
Nelly and his wife Ashanti are promoting a new unscripted reality television series aimed at peeling back the layers of the pair's relationships and musical careers, along with the requisite press runs. Some fans online have yet to forgive Nelly for appearing onstage during President Donald Trump's inauguration celebration, prompting the St. Louis star to call out supporters of former Vice President Kamala Harris and more. The Shade Room shared a clip of Nelly sitting with Hot 97's Ebro Darden doing promo with Ashanti for the pair's Peacock series, Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together. The clip shows the 'Hot In Herre' artist discussing how he has never endorsed any presidential candidate and pushing back against the assertion that he's a supporter of Trump after the performance. As it often happens with The Shade Room, fans began hurling barbs in Nelly's direction, which got his attention via a lengthy response in where he defends his actions, blasts Kamala Harris, criticized her intteracial marriage, and stood up for Snoop Dogg, who also caught the ire of fans for assumed support of President Trump. I respect and love our country from top to bottom good and bad… and I am very aware that it's a lot of things in this country that we need to work on the right is too far right and the left is too far left. .. I'm a military baby with a grand uncle who is a Tuskegee airmen and red tail that was very prideful for his country I told you it's my respect for the office meaning any president that calls upon Nelly it would be a honor.. nothing to do with money. Nothing to do with race but if you wanna make it about race, then let's goooooooooooooo I find it very interesting. That's so many of you would dump on the two black men that's married to black women that has black children because the '' woman of color with the white husband and white kids. Didn't win..!! We spoke to the loving couple, who keep one another laughing as they talked about balancing marriage, parenthood, and career. Ashanti opened up about going through postpartum and the pressure of 'snapping back.' 'It was a lot going through a lot of firsts in front of so many people,' Ashanti explained. 'Becoming newlyweds and getting married and having a child and the postpartum body. I like to be in a bikini on an island, you know what I mean?' She added, 'After having a baby, you go through those things as a woman, and I just feel like I wanted to inspire women that it's OK, you don't have to snap back the minute you step out of the hospital room.' 'Nelly and Ashanti: We Belong Together' peels back the veil on the beloved singer's postpartum process, including her hitting the gym to get back into shape. Ashanti is doing it on her time. 'I feel like there's so much on women, you know, to look a certain way and step a certain way. As for her husband, he was supportive of her during that most sensitive time', she revealed, 'He's good, he's being a little modest, but he's very encouraging and has a very nice nurturing side.' In the two years since, the pair got married in secret and welcomed son Kareem Kenkaide Haynes together in 2024, whom they affectionately call KK. Their upcoming reality show will invite viewers into their lives as they navigate new parenthood and work through their shared past. Despite the happy ending, Ashanti made sure viewers know that their relationship hasn't always been easy. "We were together off and on for 11 years, before the final [sic]..." Ashanti began.
