Odysse Electric Vehicles , a homegrown electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has launched the Racer Neo , an upgraded version of its popular Racer model, at ₹52,000 for the Graphene variant and ₹63,000 for the Lithium-ion variant, both prices ex-showroom. Aimed at students, professionals, and delivery riders, the Racer Neo features a 250W motor with a top speed of 25 kmph, making it license- and registration-free under India's low-speed EV norms. It's tailored for daily commutes in both urban and semi-urban environments. The scooter is available in two battery options—Graphene (60V, 32AH/45AH) and Lithium-ion (60V, 24AH)—offering a certified range of 90–115 km per charge, depending on configuration. Charging time ranges between 4 to 8 hours. In addition to performance, the Racer Neo is packed with smart features including cruise control, LED digital meter, keyless start/stop, a USB charging port, reverse, city and parking modes, repair mode, and ample boot space. Odysse Electric Vehicles has announced a strategic partnership with Indofast Energy, a joint venture of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. and Sun Mobility. As a battery-swapping solutions provider, to integrate SUN Mobility's advanced battery-swapping technology into its high-speed electric scooter, SNAP. This move enhances Snap's accessibility by eliminating range anxiety and long charging times, making clean mobility more practical and affordable for urban riders. The battery-swapping-enabled Snap is being introduced in New Delhi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Mumbai, with phased expansion to other cities in the pipeline. The Snap is a high-speed electric scooter with a peak motor output of 2000 watts, a top speed of 55 km/h, and a max range of 100 km per swap. It features a waterproof IP 67-rated motor, a robust Indian chassis built for local road conditions, cruise control for enhanced comfort, and a CAN-enabled display that provides real-time battery and range updates. The SNAP delivers on both performance and convenience, making it ideal for today's daily commuters. The brand said that the Snap electric scooter will now be offered at Rs 49,999 (ex-showroom) with SUN Mobility's Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) subscription model- Rs 999/month for 25 kWh and Rs 2,499/month for 75 kWh. Indofast is a joint venture between Indian Oil Corporation and SUN Mobility . The collaboration will integrate SUN Mobility's battery-swapping solution into SNAP, and is intended to reduce charging time while alleviating range limitations. The service is initially being launched in New Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Mumbai, with plans for phased expansion across other regions, according to a joint statement released on Friday. The SNAP scooter delivers a peak motor output of 2000 watts, a top speed of 55 kmph, and a range of up to 100 km per battery swap. It includes a waterproof IP67-rated motor, a locally developed chassis, cruise control, and a CAN-enabled display for real-time battery and range updates. Swap-based model and subscription pricing Using SUN Mobility's Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, riders can now exchange depleted batteries for fully charged ones at designated swap stations, typically within two minutes. This service will be available at: ₹999 per month for 25 kWh, and ₹2,499 per month for 75 kWh. The SNAP scooter is priced at ₹49,999 (ex-showroom) and aims to offer lower upfront costs by separating the battery from the vehicle purchase. Odysse Electric Vehicles reported a 42.9 per cent sales increase in May 2025, selling 223 units compared to 156 units in May 2024. The sales growth is driven by rising consumer preference for sustainable transportation options, expanded distribution, and new product launches like the Evoqis Lite electric motorcycle and HyFy electric scooter . The homegrown brand, part of Vora Group, has also focused on expanding its distribution network. The company currently offers seven models across different categories, including low-speed scooters (E2Go, V2), high-speed scooters (SNAP, HAWK Li), electric motorcycles (Vader, EVOQIS), and the TROT 2.0 delivery scooter for commercial use.
