July 2025 Horoscope: Travel Hiccups Might Change Your Plans for the Better

The other big news this month is Saturn and Neptune both stationing retrograde in your seventh house of relationships in the first half of July. So you're starting to see the writing on the wall about a significant other, or maybe the hard thing you're trying to do together is even harder than you anticipated. Maybe it's your current lack of partnership that's causing you to rethink some things about your life. This might be connected to your family or where you live, and the July 10 full moon in Capricorn will probably bring these issues into focus. Whether you're considering where to put down roots or where to visit, it seems like location can really make or break your experience right now. Scorpio Rising Things are pretty up in the air this month workwise, so your advice for July is to avoid committing to anything prematurely and to be patient with the process as you gather intel from your beta launch. Saturn and Neptune both station retrograde in your sixth house of work and health in the first half of July, and Mercury will go retrograde in your tenth house of career and status on July 18. There are some top-level logistical bugs to fix—some messaging that needs to be tweaked, or conversations to be revisited with your boss—as well as deeper issues to confront around your current capacity to handle everything that's on your plate. Certain aspects of your job have probably felt harder recently, and maybe your health isn't exactly running smoothly in the background, where you don't have to pay attention to it. Maybe you're struggling to manage more than your own workload because you're understaffed, or you're coming to terms with the fact that something about your project isn't going to work in its current form. Whatever the problem is, now is a really good time to be honest about what moving forward is going to require, to prioritize the needs of your body, and to take it all in stride if your deadlines are getting pushed back. Your ruling planet, Mars, also spends much of the month approaching a conjunction to the South Node on July 20. This is another sign that you're probably feeling pretty burned out right now, or that you'll have to surrender your plans and your need to have it all micromanaged efficiently. Indeed, wherever you've been going with your team, it seems as though you'll have to spend halftime erasing the whiteboard in the locker room and doing a tactical adjustment. It's entirely possible people won't be in the most peaceful or cooperative mood. If grievances need to be aired, hopefully it'll help everyone let off steam and move forward, but look out for some tempers and general combativeness between July 20 and 23 in particular. If all of this sounds exhausting, you're probably right! This is the kind of thing that could easily eat up time on your trip as you log on at the hotel room to answer urgent emails, or require that you ask for more help. Fortunately, Saturn's retrograde could be the perfect opportunity to take work off your plate, to have more flexibility around your job, and to walk back any commitments that may have been a bit premature in hindsight. Additionally, Venus and Uranus taking up co-residence in your eighth house could throw some unexpected support or funding your way in July. Take the help where you can get it, remain flexible, and don't mourn the plan that didn't come to pass too much. Sagittarius Rising In case no one told you lately, you're allowed to rethink everything. So much of what this current moment amounts to is that you're outgrowing the dream an older version of you had for your own life. You're also getting super honest with yourself about what it's going to take to bring your future into fruition. As Saturn and Neptune both station retrograde in the first half of July, happening in tandem with a Mars-South Node conjunction in your tenth house of career on July 20, you might put one of your more ambitious creative projects on ice for the time being as you run out of steam or reckon with how hard it's actually going to be to accomplish. If you're a parent (or thinking about becoming one), this could just as easily be about realizing that your kids need more attention from you right now, and that probably means something about how much energy you can afford to give to your work right now. The full moon in Capricorn on July 10 brings these things into sharp relief, and it might come with a price tag or a realization around how your financial reality might be affected if you change up the game plan. How to Travel With Kids, According to Globetrotting Parents Toddlers, teens, and everything in between. To be clear, 'putting things on ice' doesn't mean 'killing the project entirely.' Maybe you just need more time for things to bake. Mercury will also retrograde through your ninth house of travel, perspective, and knowledge beginning on July 18, so assuming you're not on a very literal journey of taking the scenic route, there's a lot of philosophical ferment happening for you through July and part of August — perhaps because you're rethinking what you believe and know about the world, or because you're literally going back through the notes you took in school. This could also be a meaningful time to go on a trip or visit places you've been before, but don't expect your travels to go entirely as planned. There's a higher-than-average chance of mysteriously vanished reservations, scrambled itineraries, and missed flight connections. But if you can embrace the chaos, there's a good chance you'll end up making meaningful connections along the way.

A Comet 85 Miles Wide Is Erupting In The Solar System — What To Know

The largest comet ever found has jets of carbon monoxide gas erupting from its 85-mile (140-kilometer) wide nucleus. Comet Bernardinelli-Bernstein (C/2014 UN271) was studied while it was more than halfway to Neptune using a radio telescope array in Chile's Atacama desert. It will enter the inner solar system in 2031, but it won't come as close to the sun as Earth. An artist rendition of comet C/2014 UN271, the largest known comet in the Oort Cloud. NSF/AUI/NSF NRAO/ Using the powerful Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array radio telescope in Chile, researchers observed comet Bernardinelli-Bernstein while it was more than halfway to Neptune, at a distance of 16.6 times the distance between the sun and Earth. In a major milestone in the study of distant solar system objects, observations by astronomers in March 2024 uncovered molecular activity in the comet in the form of jets of carbon monoxide gas erupting from its nucleus. It's the first detection of carbon monoxide outgassing in a comet at such a great distance. Comet Bernardinelli-Bernstein is more than 10 times the size of most known comets, so large that it's classified as a 'minor planet.' It's thought to orbit the sun only once every 600,000 years, with its next closest approach in 2031. The comet was discovered by astronomers Dr. Pedro Bernardinelli and Gary Bernstein on June 19, 2021, using archival data from the Dark Energy Survey. Comet Bernardinelli-Bernstein is doing something unexpected. A comet's nucleus is a solid core of rock and ice. When a comet gets close to the sun, its nucleus heats up, and the ice vaporizes to form its glowing coma (head) and tail. The new observations, in a paper published in The Astrophysical Journal Letters , reveal complex and evolving jets of carbon monoxide gas erupting from the comet Bernardinelli-Bernstein's nucleus. The jets were seen on the sun-facing side of the comet, suggesting that carbon dioxide — not ice — is the volatile compound when a comet is so far from the sun. It's the first direct evidence of what drives a comet's activity when it's so cold and distant. This sequence from the Hubble Space Telescope in 2022 shows how the nucleus of Comet C/2014 UN271 ... More (Bernardinelli-Bernstein) was isolated from a vast shell of dust and gas surrounding the solid icy nucleus. SCIENCE: NASA, ESA, Man-To Hui (Macau University of Science and Technology), David Jewitt (UCLA) IMAGE PROCESSING: Alyssa Pagan (STScI) 'These measurements give us a look at how this enormous, icy world works,' said lead author Nathan Roth of American University and NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. 'We're seeing explosive outgassing patterns that raise new questions about how this comet will evolve as it continues its journey toward the inner solar system.' Outgassing — the release of frozen gases — is expected to continue, with astronomers expecting to see jets of other frozen gases, notably methane and formaldehyde, as comet Bernardinelli-Bernstein gets closer to the sun over the next few years. This diagram compares the size of the icy, solid nucleus of comet C/2014 UN271 ... More (Bernardinelli-Bernstein) to several other comets. NASA, ESA, Zena Levy Largest Comet Ever Found Comet Bernardinelli-Bernstein is the largest comet ever observed from the Oort Cloud, which NASA describes as being like a big, thick bubble around the solar system. The Oort Cloud lies far beyond Pluto and is home to millions of comets. However, it's not quite the largest comet ever found. That title goes to comet Sarabat (C/1729), the so-called 'Great Comet of 1729,' which was visible to the naked eye. If you feel the need to change jobs this year, or even switch to a whole new career, you must be brave and take the plunge. Why stay stuck in a working environment that does not appreciate you or reward you appropriately for your outstanding talents? With Neptune in your sign you may want to save the world but common sense should tell you to lower your sights a little. Is there someone you know – a family member or a friend – who is in need of assistance? Focus exclusively on them. You may suspect that someone is playing games with you but how can you know for sure? The simply fact is you cannot, so be on your guard this weekend but don't erect the kind of barriers that make it obvious you no longer trust them. You must speak plainly and clearly over the next 48 hours, even if what you have to say is unlikely to endear you to other people. Mercury, your ruler, will encourage you to work out what is really going on and then let everyone know about it. You may not be entirely convinced that what others insist is a golden opportunity is right for you but don't dismiss it out of hand. It could be that if you give it a go now you will come into some serious money early next week. You know what it is you want out of life and you will go all out to get it over the next few days. Anyone who thinks they can dissuade you from following your dream could find themselves in their own living nightmare! You may not be one for keeping secrets but if you are smart you won't go public with information that could one day benefit you personally. Knowledge is power and what you know could be worth a great deal of money as well. Try to be realistic about what you can expect from other people. Not everyone shares your drive and ambition, or your clear-sighted views of what needs to be done in the world, so make allowances for those of lesser talents and fainter hearts. You need to stop pussyfooting around on the work front and get started on something that could one day bring you both fame and fortune. Don't wait for the stars to align and everything to be perfect, just go for it and make it happen. Differences of opinion with friends and colleagues are inevitable this weekend but if you don't make too a big deal of them it's unlikely they will hold you back. You can disagree a little and still work together toward a common goal. The planets warn that some of the people you will be dealing with this weekend have extremely thin skins, so try not to be too critical about what they are doing and how they are doing it. You don't want them to break down completely. You will need to be on your guard this weekend, especially when dealing with situations that are in some way alien to you. If you don't know what your next move should be then don't be afraid to ask someone who has a lot more experience. A sudden insight into how to make money must not be ignored. The fact that no one else seems to have noticed it does not mean it is wrong – it just means they don't have the imagination to see past the traditional way of doing things. Daily Horoscope for June 28, 2025

General Daily Insight for June 28, 2025 We can all stand to do a bit of magical thinking today. Mercury in creative Leo is trining fantastical Neptune in go-getter Aries at 7:37 am EDT, motivating us to expand our minds to encompass unknown possibilities while we leave outdated limitations and boundaries behind. Meanwhile, the Moon is also in Leo, driving us to express ourselves. Luna will square pleasure-loving Venus in Taurus later in the day, so we will hardly be in the mood to keep our feelings hidden. Aries March 21 – April 19 Let your imagination run wild! A fabulous trine between Mercury and Neptune across your self-expression sectors is inspiring you to think outside the box and see what wonderful ideas you can come up with when you don't have to worry about founding them in reality. Normally, it's a good idea to work with what you know. Under this alignment, you can try something different and even a little strange. Don't stick to the old playbook when there are such fascinating concepts to explore. Taurus April 20 – May 20 Reality is for everyone else today — your soul is frolicking freely. The skies are playing host to a special trine between Mercury in your caring 4th house and Neptune in your imaginative 12th house, encouraging you to see the world in wonderful ways. Don't worry about grounding yourself in serious matters or trying to keep your feet on the ground for the time being. You can experience the most pleasure when you let the planets guide you wherever they wish to wander. Gemini May 21 – June 20 It's a wonderful day for a bit of socializing. Clever Mercury in your vocal 3rd house is trining Neptune in your communal 11th house, so you can have a really lovely time connecting with others and enjoying one another's company. Don't worry about trying to have important conversations or accomplish big goals — this angle wants you to avoid sweating the small stuff as well as the big stuff. Sit back, go with the flow, and let others do the same. Cancer June 21 – July 22 Progress doesn't always look the same. You may feel a bit like you're spinning your wheels as Mercury in your 2nd House of Budgeting gets distracted by Neptune in your 10th House of Vocations, but that doesn't have to be a bad thing. Instead of pushing and pushing, let your mind wander when thinking about what you would like to achieve. You could come up with some very fresh and inspired ways of approaching your goals. Unexpected revelations are on offer! Leo July 23 – August 22 Open your mind and breathe in the universe! The skies are gleaming with the beautiful trine between Mercury in your courageous sign's 1st House of Personality and Neptune in your 9th House of Development, so there really is no such thing as thinking too big or too broadly at present. The less you limit yourself with whatever has come before or worked in the past, the more promising your future will be. Think outside the box and see how far your dreams can carry you. Virgo August 23 – September 22 Avoid serious conversations. A rare angle between Mercury in your 12th House of Fantasy and Neptune in your 8th House of Mutual Sharing is making it a little difficult to know exactly where certain boundaries lie. That could come back to bite you if you aren't careful! This energy is actually quite gentle and free-flowing, but it won't aid important discussions. As long as you avoid anything requiring extra clear-headed awareness, you should be able to enjoy your day just fine. Libra September 23 – October 22 Avoid projecting any expectations onto others today. Mercury in your 11th House of Global Outreach is setting up the ideal scene for getting out and circulating. That said, its trine to illusory Neptune in your 7th House of Pairings means that someone in particular could drop the ball or fail to live up to your expectations. Asking for a lot of small things or a few big things risks major disappointment. For maximum success, the only person you should expect anything from is yourself. Scorpio October 23 – November 21 Sometimes the best work happens when you aren't working. You are primed to be your most productive self while Mercury is in your 10th House of Accomplishments, but its embrace of Neptune in your 6th House of Proficiency is encouraging you to take it easy and let things work out on their natural schedule. If you really want to feel productive, try tending to easy projects, rather than loading your plate with one complex task after another. Small successes are more than enough. Sagittarius November 22 – December 21 When did you last look beyond your comfort zone? You can see the world through new eyes while Mercury is in your 9th House of Adventure. That should make for an immensely enjoyable process as the messenger planet supports fantastical Neptune in your 5th House of Recreation. Don't hold yourself up to any unnecessary expectations — instead, allow yourself the freedom to explore myriad ways of finding satisfaction in this wild thing we call life. What you discover may pleasantly surprise you. Capricorn December 22 – January 19 Get comfortable where it counts. Mercury is in your 8th House of Deep Bonding, which can normally leave you feeling a little intense and riled up. Thankfully, Mercury is calming down in tandem with gentle Neptune in your 4th House of Moods, helping you take the edge off and avoid any extreme situations. Make an effort to share this gentle attitude with others, especially if someone close to you seems to be under more stress than usual. A little consideration can go a long way. Aquarius January 20 – February 18 Leave the dramatics behind today, Aquarius. You aren't necessarily one to get caught up in such fraught situations if you can help it. Even so, the messy trine between Mercury in your relationship sector and Neptune in your communications sector means that you would do well to avoid anything important. This combination can actually lead to fun times, but only if you keep the stakes low. The minute you try to tackle anything serious, details could go missing and miscommunication may flourish. Pisces February 19 – March 20 Avoid overpromising anything right now. A spectacular trine between Mercury in your hard-working 6th house and Neptune in your materialistic 2nd house can make just about anything seem possible, but Neptune has a tendency to make you see things that aren't actually there. What looks doable at first glance could prove to be more consuming than you once thought. Be sure to do proper diligence before you start offering more than you'll realistically be able to deliver when all is said and done.
