Video: Sean Strickland rushes cage, punches regional fighter in head after taunt

A post shared by Tuff-N-Uff The Future 🌟 of MMA (@tuffnuff) Sean Strickland threw punches inside the cage Sunday in Las Vegas and he wasn't even scheduled to fight. At Tuff-N-Uff 145, Strickland cornered teammate Miles Hunsinger against Luis Hernandez in a battle of unbeaten middleweights. As Hunsinger (7-1) grabbed hold in the clinch, he stuck his neck out too far and got caught in a standing guillotine choke by Hernandez (6-0). While he had the choke on, Hernandez stuck his tongue out in the direction of Hunsinger's corner, which included Strickland and fellow UFC fighter Chris Curtis. Immediately following the tap, Hernandez taunted Hunsinger's corner again with middle fingers and a pair of obscene gestures toward his crotch. Strickland and Curtis immediately stormed the cage. While Curtis grabbed hold of Hernandez, Strickland threw two over-the-top right hands that connected on Hernandez. Commission and promotion officials intervened before more chaos could ensue. Given Strickland was a licensed cornerman for the event, the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) could suspend his license as not only a "second" (cornerman), but also as a fighter. It's unclear at this time if Strickland will face any disciplinary action.

UFC rebooks Rodolfo Bellato vs. Paul Craig days after last-second cancellation Days after it was unexpectedly canceled, Rodolfo Bellato vs. Paul Craig is back on the UFC books. The bout has been rescheduled for UFC on ESPN 69 in Atlanta, which takes place June 14 at State Farm Arena. The bout was scheduled as the co-main event at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Craig (17-9-1 MMA, 9-9-1 UFC) first reported the rescheduling date Thursday on "Leather'd Podcast", and it was confirmed by Bellato (12-2-1 MMA, 1-0-1 UFC) on social media thereafter. Minutes before the scheduled walkouts at UFC Fight Night 256 on Saturday, Bellato was pulled from his fight vs. Craig by the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) due to visible herpes on his face. Bellato is aligned for the highest-profile bout of his career vs. Craig , who aims to snap a three-fight losing skid. With the addition, the UFC on ESPN 69 lineup includes:

Andrei Arlovski Set for Bare-Knuckle Debut Against Geronimo Dos Santos

Staying relevant in the UFC is no easy feat. Even for former champions, time and competition wear on, and eventually, new paths must be forged. While few walk away on top, others choose to go out swinging—and sometimes in entirely different arenas. That may be the case for one of UFC's most durable veterans, whose bare-knuckle debut could also serve as a final bow. According to an official post from BKFC on Instagram, former UFC Heavyweight Champion Andrei Arlovski is set to compete at BKFC 76 on June 21 in Texas. The caption read: 'ANDREI ARLOVSKI IS LEAVING THE GLOVES BEHIND JUNE 21 IN TEXAS!' At 46 years old, the phrase leaving the gloves behind carries weight, possibly hinting that this bout may mark the end of Arlovski's decorated career. Arlovski's last outing was a TKO victory over Terrance Hodges at DX 1, a smaller event that helped the veteran regain momentum before stepping into the BKFC spotlight. Arlovski's UFC journey began in 2000. He became interim UFC heavyweight champion in 2005 by defeating Tim Sylvia, later being promoted to undisputed champ. Over his career, he fought in over 40 UFC bouts, with wins over names like Fabricio Werdum, Travis Browne, Frank Mir, and Antonio Silva. Though he experienced ups and downs, Arlovski remained a staple of the heavyweight division well into his 40s, earning a reputation for longevity and heart. OctagonGetty Standing across from Arlovski will be Geronimo Dos Santos, a 44-year-old Brazilian powerhouse and fellow former UFC heavyweight. Dos Santos was scheduled to fight in the UFC in 2012 against Gabriel Gonzaga, but the bout was ultimately canceled due to his pre-fight medical exams. Two years passed, and the Nevada Athletic Commission still would not clear him, so he asked to be released from his UFC contract. He's competed across various international promotions, known for his knockout power and aggressive style. Dos Santos also has one BKFC fight under his belt—at BKFC 71, he scored a knockout victory over fellow UFC veteran Aleksei Oleinik.
