Two men sent to hospital after overnight CT shooting
The New Haven Police Department said they are investigating a double shooting that occurred early Saturday morning. At around 2:55 a.m. officers were deployed to the area of Crown Street and Temple Street for a reported double shooting, police said. A 22-year-old man from Meriden and a 20-year-old man from Bristol suffered non-life-threatening injuries. This shooting remains under investigation, according to police. Person shot in CT city Sunday was allegedly targeted and ‘chased by another car'
One man was shot and sustained a non-life-threatening following a shooting in New Haven early Sunday morning. The New Haven Police Department was dispatched to the 100 block of Bassett Street for a report of a car that crashed into a tree at approximately 2:45 a.m. Sunday, according to the New Haven Police Department. When police arrived, the vehicle was unoccupied, but police round the victim and another passenger walking about a block away. Police said both were taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. 'It appears that the victim was being targeted and chased by another vehicle at the time of the shooting,' according to the New Haven Police Department. Police ask anyone who has witnessed the incident or may have information valuable to the investigation to call detectives at (203) 946-6304 or at the anonymous tip line at 866-888-TIPS (8477).

Twenty-five-year-old New Haven driver died after vehicle crashed into tree
NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A driver was pronounced deceased at a local hospital after colliding with a tree early Saturday morning in New Haven, said police. Just before 2:00 a.m., police say a car travelling south on Shelton Avenue near Gibbs Street drove over a speed bump, swerved to the left of the roadway, and collided with a tree. First arriving officers encountered the vehicle operator, a 25-year-old New Haven woman, suffering from injuries related to the crash. 5 juveniles carjack delivery driver in New Haven: Police
NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Yale University Public Safety officials are warning drivers to be aware and attentive following a reported carjacking incident last month. The carjacking happened on the 300 block of Canner Street around 4:38 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 24. Arrest made in homicide of New Haven delivery driver Police said five juveniles forcefully removed a delivery driver from his blue Hyundai Elantra and fled in it. The vehicle has since been recovered, but police did not say if any arrests have been made. No injuries were reported in the incident, which is still under investigation. Police ask people to stay situationally-awareness and be attentive to their surroundings whenever they are on campus. New Haven woman found in Mexico 25 years after abduction
NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WWLP) -In Connecticut, a 27-year-old woman living in Mexico has been identified as the same person who was abducted from her father's care in New Haven back in 1999. In October of that year, nearly 2 years old Andrea Michelle Reyes, was abducted by Rosa Tenorio, a non-custodial parent. According to officials, the toddler was taken to Mexico, where the pair have lived for the past 25 years. In 2023, New Haven Police began to re-investigate the open case which resulted in Andrea making contact with her father. Reyes currently resides in Mexico. WWLP-22News, an NBC affiliate, began broadcasting in March 1953 to provide local news, network, syndicated, and local programming to western Massachusetts.
