Well-loved murder mystery TV show adaptation set for Bromley theatre
The popular TV show Midsomer Murders is set to play at Bromley's Churchill Theatre next year in a brand-new theatrical production.
This new theatrical production entitled Midsomer Murders: Killings on Badger Drift, directed by Guy Usworth, will tour at Bromley's Churchill Theatre from May 12 to May 16, 2026 and is based on the popular ITV adaptation that has been gracing Britain's TV screens for 28 years.
The set design by David Woodhead brings to life the charming village of Badger's Drift, along with lighting design by Matt Haskins and sound design by Ella Wahlström.
Produced by Nicholson Green Productions and Colin Ingram, the plot tells the story of DCI Tom Barnaby and Sergeant Gavin Troy, as they investigate the murder of well-loved spinster Emily Simpson in the village of Badger's Drift, in a reimagining of this classic story based on the book by Caroline Graham.

Caroline Graham said of Guy Unsworth's adaptation for the stage: 'It's fast paced and witty and has everything an audience wants: bizarre murders and a beautiful setting. I am delighted to be a part of it and to see The Killings at Badger's Drift on the stage.'
Speaking on the news John Nettles, the original Inspector Barnaby, said: 'I'm thrilled to hear that the exploits of those in Midsomer's Badger's Drift are being brought to the stage. How exciting.'
Midsomer Murders: Killings on Badger Drift will play at Bromley's Churchill Theatre from May 12 to May 16, 2026 with tickets on sale from June 27, 2025.
