An area of downtown London has been evacuated of foot traffic after a gas line was struck. July 2, 2025. (Nick Paparella/CTV News London) A natural gas leak in downtown London has been capped. According to police, a gas line was struck in the area of Dufferin Avenue and Talbot Street. All side streets and sidewalks between Albert Street and Queens Avenue and Richmond Street and Ridout Street north were shut down but have since reopened.
