Zimmermann opens first store in Nice
Australian luxury womenswear brand Zimmermann announced on Wednesday the opening of its first store in Nice, following recent store openings in Mykonos and Ibiza. Located on the city's recently restored Park Avenue luxury retail strip, which looks out on the Jardin de l'Arménie, the new Nice boutique was designed in partnership with long-term collaborators, Studio McQualter The store's façade boasts long windows shaded by clean white awnings, while inside, a giant tapestry by Australian artist Georgia Bisley greets guests upon entry, across from a raw concrete wall displaying a rare Dutch tiered wall light from the 1940s. Flooring is custom striped terrazzo tile with carpet inside the fitting rooms, and striped fabric for the interior walls. On the ground floor, shoppers will find the Sydney-based brand's ready-to-wear collection, specifically its the fall/winter 2025 collection, alongside the brand's accessories offering. A spiral metal staircase leads to a mezzanine lounge area designed for private appointments. 'Nice is such a vibrant destination and it's exciting to open the boutique in the height of summer," said Nicky Zimmermann, creative director and co-founder. "The boutique creates an elegant yet relaxed space which speaks perfectly to Nice – I love the mix of the raw concrete we have left exposed and the eclectic selection of art and more gentle details of the lounge.' The chic resort-style brand's Nice opening comes just weeks after it made its Greek retail debut on the island of Mykonos. The brand, which shows its ready-to-wear collections in Paris, also opened a store in Ibiza back in May.
