Singaporeans cancel or postpone trips to Middle East amid Israel-Iran conflict
Singaporeans are cancelling or delaying their trips to the Middle East, given tensions in the Middle East. Tour agencies tell CNA that many clients are looking to avoid flights through the region, and turning instead to destinations in Africa and nearby Asian countries for travel. Meanwhile, Singapore has welcomed the recently announced ceasefire between Israel and Iran, with the Foreign Affairs Ministry urging all parties to abide by the ceasefire, and to return to a pathway of diplomacy and dialogue. Two new EC sites will bring total supply for 2025 to nearly 2,000 units, the highest since 2014
The Singapore government will put up 10 private residential sites under the Confirmed List for sale for the second half of the year. This includes two executive condominium sites — Woodlands Drive 17 and Miltonia Close — which can yield up to 990 units. This increases the total number of EC plots in 2025 to five. Altogether, the five EC sites can yield nearly 2,000 units — the highest since 2014. While ECs appeal to those wanting to upgrade from HDB units, it may actually be driving up the prices of mass-market condos. Nikhil Khattar reports.

Sabah quake 10 years on: Safer routes, new search and rescue team to enhance safety at Mt Kinabalu
The Sabah State Government has made at least 10 safety enhancements to Mount Kinabalu, a decade after an earthquake there killed 18 people, including 10 Singaporeans. There are now two new and safer routes to the Malaysian peak and a rescue team on standby 24/7, and annual search and rescue drills to sharpen communication and response times.
