Yes, the Dyson Supersonic Nural Hair Dryer Is Worth the Hype, and It's 20% Off Today for Prime Day

I never thought I'd actually own the Dyson Supersonic Nural. This thing had been sitting on my wishlist for months. But I recently received one as a gift, and I'm not being dramatic when I say I let out a gasp when I unwrapped it. It felt like someone had handed me the crown jewels of hair tools. (Thanks, Mom!) Fast-forward a few months and I can confidently say I'm completely obsessed with it. This isn't one of those luxe gadgets that ends up collecting dust in the back of a closet or drawer. I use it pretty much daily, and every time I do, I think, "Whoa, this really is that good." The Dyson Supersonic Nural hair dryer usually isn't on sale. In fact, it's almost never on sale. But today for Prime Day, you can find the Dyson Supersonic Nural at a discount on Amazon for $399, a 20% discount from its usual $500 price tag. That's its lowest price yet -- and this discount isn't likely to return anytime soon. Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money. How I use my super speedy Dyson hair dryer Drying my hair used to be a whole production -- arms aching, sweating and annoyed by the end, and still somehow left with frizz and flyaways. Now, it takes me under 10 minutes, which still kind of blows my mind. I have thick, slightly longer than shoulder-length hair that holds onto moisture like it's a job, so this is no small feat. The Nural model has a cool feature that senses how close it is to your scalp and adjusts the heat automatically. I didn't really get what that meant until I used it. Basically, it stops me from roasting my roots while still drying everything quickly. The Dyson Supersonic comes with a number of attachments, including a wide-tooth comb, a flyaway attachment, a gentle air attachment and a diffuser. Macy Meyer/CNET I usually start with the smoothing nozzle when I want a sleek look, but if I'm feeling lazy or just running late, I'll just rough-dry with no attachment at all. On days when I decide to lean into my natural texture, the diffuser is a game-changer when I scrunch my hair into waves. It doesn't flatten out my curls or make them frizzy like my old dryer did. It's also a lot quieter than I expected and super lightweight. I've dried my whole head while half-asleep, coffee (or wine if it's the evening) in one hand, Dyson in the other. It really is that easy. Why the Dyson makes a gasp-worthy gift Honestly, this is one of those things I never would've bought for myself (hello, price tag), but now that I have it, I can't imagine going back. It's the ultimate "treat yourself" item, but in this case, someone else treated me and I'll never stop being grateful. If you're looking for a gift that feels luxurious yet practical, this checks all the boxes. Especially now that it's on sale at the lowest price ever. Seriously, now's the time. My final thoughts The Dyson Supersonic Nural isn't just hype; it's genuinely made my hair styling better. I don't dread drying my hair anymore. In fact, I kind of enjoy it? Which, for me, is pretty amazing. If you're on the fence about it or you've been eyeing it forever like I was, this sale might just be the nudge you need. If you're looking for other fun gifts, here are our favorite kitchen gifts under $50. You can also read my reviews of my favorite Everything Maker, and my favorite coffee and espresso system.

Act Fast to Get the Dyson Supersonic Nural Hair Dryer With $100 Off in This Memorial Day Deal

Good news everybody, Memorial Day deals are officially very much here. Sure, the big day isn't until Monday, but you can already save money on a huge number of things from must-haves to lovely treats and everything in-between. If you're looking to upgrade your hair care, then you'll definitely want to make the most of this deal. That's because it lets you get your hands on the Dyson Supersonic Nural hair dryer for $399, which is $101 off, and a 20% saving. This deal won't last forever though, so act fast to avoid missing out. The Dyson Supersonic Nural hair dryer is a sleek, stylish hair dryer that offers some added intelligence over the standard Supersonic dryer. The Supersonic Nural has a unique network of Nural sensors that automatically adjust airflow and temperature while you use it. This process helps to enhance the natural shine of your hair and protect scalp health. Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money. The hair dryer has three heat settings, along with a cold shot option. It comes with five attachments: a styling concentrator, a gentle air attachment, a flyaway attachment, a wide-tooth comb and a wave and curl diffuser. The smart styling attachments have preset airflow and heat settings. When you attach one to the Supersonic Nural, its sensors automatically recognize which one you've attached and adjust the settings. You can also adjust these settings yourself. Why this deal matters This is the lowest price that the Dyson Supersonic Nural has dropped to this year -- just $10 more than the record-low we saw late last year during holiday sales -- so you're definitely getting a good deal with this current Memorial Day offer. Tariff exemptions, at least as they're outlined right now, won't help prices on Dyson's haircare products in future, so it's unlikely we'll see a deal this good on the Supersonic hair dryer for a while.

Dyson Supersonic Nural Hair Dryer Hits All-Time Low, It's Never Been This Affordable and It's Selling Fast

Most hair dryers are built to get the job done quickly, but that speed often comes at a cost. You'll get overheated scalps, fried ends, and frizz that refuses to quit if you just use any old hair dryer. That's why you've got to get the best one you can within your budget. And there are tons to choose from, but only a few with recognizable names like Dyson that can get you together no matter what your hair situation is. If you're tired of spending all your money on salon visits, head to Amazon now. You can get the Dyson Supersonic Nural Hair Dryer for $399, down from its usual price of $500. That's a discount of $101 and 20% off. See at Amazon Effortless, beautiful hair every time This hair dryer is all about keeping your hair as protected as possible, or as much as you can with heat, anyway. You'll want to use a heat protectant spray on wet hair, but it's built to minimize damage while making sure it can tame flyaways and remedy other hair problems. All you have to do is the drying motions, and it can handle just about everything else. There's also a Pause Detect feature that senses when you put the dryer down and automatically reduces heat and airflow. It's a small thing, but over time, it adds up in terms of energy efficiency and less noise during your routine. There's something super cool about the dryer too, and that's how it kind of personalizes your experiences each time you use it. The Nural remembers your heat and speed settings for each of the five magnetic attachments. That includes a diffuser, wide-tooth comb, flyaway smoother, gentle air tool, and precision concentrator. So once you find the settings you like to use, it'll automatically use them the next time you snap on the same attachment. At just under two pounds, it's light enough to handle comfortably even during longer styling sessions. And thanks to Dyson's digital motor and airflow control, you'll still get fast drying times without overheating your strands. For $399 (-20%), the Supersonic Nural isn't an impulse buy, but it's a great investment for anyone who wants to cut back on heat damage and treat their hair to a better drying experience. It's also a smart tool for people who take their hair seriously and want to protect it without sacrificing speed or style. Yes, you can do that. And maybe it's time you started trying to do that for yourself. See at Amazon

Dyson Supersonic R review: The professional hair dryer hits the mainstream market

The Dyson Supersonic has been a status symbol since its unveiling back in 2016 - instantly recognisable by its circular head and silver and fuchsia colourway. Not content with resting on its laurels, the Supersonic has evolved since it first hit the market. The Nural was released in March 2024 and brought with it new sensor technology, and now comes the Supersonic r. Once the reserve of professional stylists, the dryer is now part of Dyson's main collection. But what makes it different? Not only is the r more powerful, but it's lighter too - so it's no wonder that it's a fixture backstage at the fashion weeks. It already garnered the seal of approval from some of the biggest names in the industry, including Sam McKnight, Eugene Souleiman and Lacy Redway. Dyson is known for its design chops, and the r follows suit. This is a very attractive hair tool and comes in a ceramic pink colourway with more to come. As you take it out of the box, you'll see just how compact this dryer is. It's almost like a travel hair dryer in size. This makes it very easily manoeuvrable and less fatiguing for those with thick locks. It is actually 20 per cent smaller and 30 per cent lighter than the Supersonic, which was already one of the lightest hair dryers on the market. Dyson is clear on its mission to minimise heat damage, and this is ensured with the r through the brand's trademarked Hyperdymium motor that spins at 110,000rpm to create high velocity air flow. The air travels through a flow heater before it reaches the end to even out and add precision to the styling process. There is also intelligent heat control that measures the air temperature and adapts accordingly. I have long used the original Supersonic, and while I appreciate the lower temperature to combat hair damage, I find the time it takes to blow dry my hair to be tedious. The r is the complete opposite experience. It is so lightweight that there is no opportunity to get arm ache as the drying process is so speedy. I have fine hair, but it took a mere four minutes to go from towel-dried to bone dry. Four minutes! There are five attachments that vary depending on whether you select the Straight and Wavy or Curly and Coily model. For achieving straighter and wavy locks, you then have the pro concentrator for precision, the gentle air attachment, the smoothing nozzle to combat frizz and the flyaway attachment that harnesses the famous Coanda effect to smooth out finished styles. The Curly and Coily model switches the gentle air attachment for a diffuser to define curls and the smoothing nozzle for a wide-tooth comb for detangling. These are all smart or 'intelligent' attachments. This means that as soon as they are affixed, the heated tool automatically adjusts the temperature and airflow to maximise their efficiency, thanks to the use of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) sensors. At the end, I popped on the flyaway nozzle, which is infused with the cold shot and left my hair smooth and crucially, frizz-free.
