WWE star shows off Bohemians Oasis jersey in front of millions of people

WWE star Sami Zayn was the latest high-profile figure to wear a Bohemians jersey and showed it off in front of millions. The popular wrestler returned to action on Monday and did so with a splash as he wore the Oasis-inspired Bohemians jersey. And with Netflix now broadcasting Monday Night Raw, the jersey would have been seen by millions. Although Zayn could well be a surprise long-time Bohemians fan, it is more likely that he was gifted the jersey by Gypsies die-hard and fellow WWE Superstar Sheamus. The Finglas native is a long-time fan of the Phibsborough outfit and has been on hand to lend his support to the club on different occasions. For Bohemians, it represents great publicity for the club and its limited edition strip. The fan-owned club teamed up with Oasis ahead of the reunion tour, with half of the profits raised from the Oasis shirt going to charity, with a split between Music Generation Ireland and Irish Community Care Manchester, while the other half goes to the club itself. The League of Ireland club has made waves internationally with its kit choices. Previously, it had jerseys with Thin Lizzy, Bob Marley, and Fontaines DC branding. It has also teamed up with Guinness in the past and had a Dublin Bus-themed jersey. Oasis comes to Ireland next month, and their reunion tour is currently in full swing. The Gallagher brothers have played two sold-out shows in Cardiff and five shows in Manchester's Heaton Park. Focus now turns to London, where they will perform five sold-out Wembley Stadium Shows before heading north to Murrayfield, where they will perform three times before heading over to Dublin. After that, things go further afield with shows all across North America and then east towards South Korea, Japan, and Australia. As for Zayn, his colleagues will be in Ireland next month for a live recording of WWE SmackDown.

Uddingston hairdresser styles stars at TRNSMT

Rainbow Room International creative director Diana Carson joined the backstage salon team ensuring the stars looked their best as they took to the stage at Glasgow Green A leading Uddingston hairdresser once again styled the stars as they took to the stage at the TRNSMT festival on Glasgow Green. ‌ Diana Carson, creative director of Rainbow Room International on Main Street, teamed up with fellow senior staff plus rising-star stylists from across the company to run their backstage pop-up salon in the artists' village. ‌ They created a range of cuts and styles fit for the stage on Scotland's hottest weekend of the year, welcoming performers, managers and crews at the busy three-day event with a big-name line-up including 50 Cent, Biffy Clyro, Snow Patrol, Fontaines DC and Amy Macdonald. ‌ Diana said: 'I love being part of TRNSMT and soaking up all that festival energy – it's such an inspiring experience. 'This year, there was a real throwback vibe with Oasis-inspired looks like textured crops and soft mod shapes. Bringing those trends back to the salon and adapting them into something our clients in Uddingston can wear every day is always so exciting.' She teamed up with fellow Rainbow Room creative directors from Glasgow, Ayr and Lanarkshire neighbour Jacqueline Curran of the East Kilbride salon for the festival, as well as emerging young talents to run the popular and trend-setting festival salon. Described as 'a long-standing backstage fixture since the festival's inception', it is located beside the performers' dressing rooms and was 'a constant hub of energy throughout the weekend' as stars and their teams queued up for creative styles. The Rainbow Room team said: 'The team delivered expert cuts and styling to withstand the summer heat and humid temperatures, while setting the tone for festival hair trends right at the peak of the season' – including more Oasis-inspired looks and 'disconnected fringes and hair full of lived-in, natural movement. 'Now those cutting-edge festival trends are making their way back to Rainbow Room International Uddingston so clients can book in and capture a little TRNSMT magic for themselves.' * Don't miss the latest headlines from around Lanarkshire.
