Viral crowd video from Oasis gig sparks fan fury
Irish fans are counting down the days to Oasis' two sold-out shows at Croke Park on August 16th and 17th, 2025 – part of the band's long-awaited reunion tour and their first time on stage together in 16 years.
But while the shows are already being hailed as legendary, not every moment has struck the right chord with fans.
A now-viral clip from night two in Cardiff has ignited a fierce debate online after a concertgoer shared footage of dozens of fans sitting down during Cast No Shadow.

The backlash was instant, and divided. Some were quick to express frustration:
'Why is no one singing!' one person said while another fan commented: 'I wasn't sat down. Stood up singing loud and proud as everyone should have been for the struggle it was to get tickets.'

However, plenty of others jumped to the crowd's defence:
One argued: 'Because they're original fans and our backs are shot to pieces.'
Another said: 'I would be seating too – appreciating and taking it all in. Standing and jumping about isn't the only way to enjoy it.'
And that wasn't the only crowd controversy in Cardiff. Another fan moment went viral from the opening night, this time involving the use of Shazam.

Online, fans were stunned, one said: 'Imagine not knowing the greatest song of all time,' while another fumed: 'Seriously! I couldn't get a ticket because of these people.'
Despite the viral moments and online spats, one thing isn't up for debate amongst fans, the band certainly delivered.
Oasis will take to Dublin on August 16 and 17 for two sold-out nights in Croke Park, before heading to North America, South America, and back to Wembley before performing in South Korea and Japan. They'll then head to Australia, before wrapping up the tour in São Paolo, Brazil, in November.
