Vernon Kay shares Liam Gallagher's brutal insult as he shares excitement for gig
Vernon Kay is joining thousands of fans heading to Cardiff's Principality Stadium for the start of the Oasis reunion tour, but the telly legend had an awkward encounter with Liam
Vernon Kay revealed Liam Gallagher once brutally insulted him, but it won't stop him from belting out the lyrics to Oasis songs during their reunion tour. The 51-year-old is one of the many Oasis fans eagerly waiting for their tour to start after 16 years of Liam and Noel Gallagher feuding.
Vernon, his 16-year-old daughter and his brother Stephen will be at Cardiff's Principality Stadium for the start of their reunion tour. Ahead of the highly anticipated gig, the radio star recalled a moment he was called a 'lanky streak of p***' by Liam while at a Prodigy concert in 2009.
Speaking of the incident, he said: "I bumped into Liam and his then-wife Nicole Appleton. They'd been on holiday and I'd had a couple of lagers and cheekily yelled at him: 'Is that fake tan you're wearing?'
"For a minute, I thought he was going to hit me. He shouted: 'No, I'm f***ing not you lanky streak of p***'. I think he then called me lanky bollocks. But he's brilliant company," he added to The Sun.
Meanwhile, Oasis have already revealed exclusive merchandise for the Cardiff. shows - with fans already snapping up hundreds of items.

Oasis' Cardiff gigs has also caused chaos for wider transport across the city, with a number of road closures. As Cardiff city centre braces for the influx of music fans, significant road closures will be implemented around the capital.
For the Oasis concerts, city centre roads will be shut from midday and are expected to reopen at the stroke of midnight.
A Cardiff Council spokesperson said: "The M4 motorway is expected to be very busy for these concerts - so please plan ahead - and avoid the congestion in Cardiff by using the park and ride at the car park by the Vindico Arena on International Drive in the Sports Village.
