Llandovery caravan park finalist in Welsh Hospitality Awards
Erwlon Caravan & Camping Park in Llandovery is in contention to win Best Caravan Park. The Oceanic Awards ceremony will take place on September 10 and will highlight excellence in Wales vibrant hospitality industry. The caravan park has an average review rating of 4.5 stars out of 5 on Tripadvisor. A review from last month (June 2025) commended the park and said: 'Spent the weekend here with family and friends. Booked 6 pitches with 17 children of various age's and 10 adults. 'The owners were so friendly and welcoming, and the site was quiet, clean, spacious and had everything we needed, toilet block, washing up block, hire fire pits with pellets etc. 'Location is perfect, short walk to co-op & and a little longer to the lovely town where there is takeaways, shops, pubs and great meals. 'We pitched near the park and the children played all day and early evening, we had a sports day, played rounders, rugby, made smores, played bingo and generally had a fantastic weekend.' The Oceanic Awards aim to highlight excellence in Wales vibrant hospitality industry with a focus on recognising outstanding businesses and individuals, these awards highlight the very best in hotels, restaurants, bars, spas, and other sectors within the industry. Irfan Younis, Spokesperson for The 7th Welsh Hospitality Awards 2025 said: 'We're proud to once again get to showcase the remarkable talent and exceptional standards within the hospitality industry. 'The people shortlisted for these awards have consistently demonstrated excellence, innovation, and dedication in their respective categories, setting the benchmark for quality and service within their field. For the last six years these awards have celebrated the outstanding achievements of businesses and individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the hospitality sector in Wales. West Wales Karting has 45 reviews on Tripadvisor and an average rating of 4.9 stars out of five. A review from this month (July 2025) wrote: 'Great setup and track and karts and equipment. Staff very friendly. Great karts in a very relaxing environment. 'Easy to book over the phone and very flexible. Good value for money. They allowed us to race nine adults and kids together.' Oceanic Awards will stage its seventh edition of the Welsh Hospitality Awards, shining a spotlight on businesses which have showcased exceptional standards within the industry. On Tripadvisor, Tŷ Milford Waterfront has over 700 reviews and an average rating of 4.2 stars out of five. A review from this month (July 2025) said: 'This hotel was recommended to us; we weren't sure at first but wow we were so impressed! 'Check in was easy, happy receptionist and our room was just perfect. We dined in the restaurant in the evening, was a lovely relaxing atmosphere and just perfect. 'Staff always on hand and the food was outstanding! Would highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be back A definite five star from me!'
