Radiohead Scores Its First New Hit Song In Almost A Decade

Radiohead's 'Let Down' debuts at No. 85 on the Official Singles chart, marking the band's first U.K. ... More hit in nearly a decade. NEW YORK, NY - MARCH, 1993: (L-R) Bassist Colin Greenwood, lead singer/pianist Thom Yorke, drummer Phil Selway, guitarist Jonny Greenwood and singer/guitarist Ed O'Brien of the British rock group Radiohead, play cards during a portrait session circa March, 1993 in New York, New York. (Photo by) Radiohead hasn't released a new album in almost 10 years, and fans have been waiting patiently since the May 2016 arrival of A Moon Shaped Pool. The musicians who comprise the alternative act have largely been focused on side projects and solo efforts in the years since. While the group may be dormant when it comes to releasing new music, there's still plenty of hidden gems in Radiohead's discography for the public to discover. The rock band collects a new hit in its home country this week with a decades-old tune, one which has recently risen to the surface and finally earned a moment to shine. Radiohead's song "Let Down" debuts on the Official Singles chart this week. The cut opens at No. 85 on the list of the most consumed tracks in the U.K. As it launches, the cut becomes the group's twenty-fourth placement on the competitive tally. "Let Down" is Radiohead's first new win on the Official Singles chart in nearly a decade. The last time the group earned a placement on the roster was in May 2016, when both "Burn the Witch" and "Daydreaming" opened at Nos. 64 and 74, respectively just one week apart from one another. "Let Down" debuted on the Official Streaming chart in the U.K. last week, becoming one of the 100 most streamed tracks in the country for the very first time. In just its second frame on that tally, it bolts more than 20 spaces — from No. 77 to No. 56 — reaching a new all-time peak. "Let Down" is Radiohead's second career hit on the Official Streaming chart. It currently sits just four spaces behind the group's all-time best showing on that list — No. 52, which "Creep" has reached in the past. Speaking of "Creep," all the excitement surrounding "Let Down's" surge helps that smash, which may be regarded as Radiohead's most popular track, return to the Official Singles chart at No. 94. At the same time, it pushes north on the Official Streaming list to No. 58, coming in just a few spots behind its No. 52 peak. "Let Down" was originally released as a promotional single from Radiohead's album OK Computer in September 1997, but at the time, it wasn't a major chart success. Recently, "Let Down" has been going viral online, which has turned it into a proper chart win in the U.K. — a little less than 30 years after Radiohead first shared it with the world.

Addison Rae's New Hit Single Brings Several Other Recent Wins With It

Addison Rae scores her fifth U.K. hit as 'Fame Is a Gun' debuts at No. 27 on the Official Singles ... More chart, while "Headphones On" rises and "Diet Pepsi" returns. (Photo byfor Coachella) Throughout her relatively short music career, Addison Rae has only released a handful of singles. The TikTok star appears poised for a sizable debut on a number of charts with her just-released self-titled full-length, which is expected to arrive on rankings everywhere soon. In the United Kingdom, where she has already racked up a number of wins, three of her singles have managed to chart, and each takes a different path to landing on various tallies. This week, Rae earns a new victory as 'Fame Is a Gun,' the fifth official single from Addison, debuts at No. 27 on the Official Singles chart. The new track becomes yet another top 40 success for the social media superstar right out of the gate, and just before that self-titled full-length debuts as well. While pure purchases surely contributed to the tune's quick adoption, it seems that streaming platforms carried most of the weight. 'Fame Is a Gun' manages to land on only one other ranking in the U.K. at the moment, as it hits the Official Streaming chart, opening at No. 61. 'Fame Is a Gun' marks Rae's fifth hit on the Official Singles chart. Each of the tunes released from Addison prior to the album's arrival have spent at least one frame on the list. However, only four of her songs have reached the Official Streaming chart. Rae currently fills two spots on the Official Singles chart. Her previous release, 'Headphones On,' also from Addison, lifts slightly this week. The cut steps up from No. 67 to No. 65 in its seventh frame on the tally. The track previously peaked at No. 24 and stands as her second-highest-charting hit on the all-encompassing list of the most consumed songs in the U.K. The promotional campaign around Addison began last summer when the budding singer dropped 'Diet Pepsi.' That track became a breakout success for her in many respects, granting Rae her debut top 10 win on the main singles tally across the Atlantic. Perhaps buoyed by the excitement surrounding the album's release, 'Diet Pepsi' returns to the Official Physical Singles chart this week. The song reenters at No. 39, becoming a top 40 bestseller again. In the past, the track has risen as high as No. 3.

Bruno Mars Beats One Of His Biggest Smashes With A Timeless Duet

Bruno Mars claims two hit songs in the United Kingdom this week, despite not having anything brand new to promote. He's not actively pushing any singles, but two of his releases that originally dropped in 2024 are proving to be among his most successful career wins – ones that the British public is far from tired of hearing. 'Die With a Smile,' his collaboration with Lady Gaga, and 'Apt.,' recorded with Blackpink singer Rosé, are not only still present on the Official Singles chart, they manage to climb, and one of them now ranks among his longest-running successes in the country to date. 'Die With a Smile' returns to the top 40 on the Official Singles chart, the ranking of the most consumed songs in the U.K. This frame marks the track's forty-first stay on the tally. As it adds one more week to its total, the duet with Gaga advances in Mars's discography. With 41 weeks spent on the Official Singles chart, 'Die With a Smile' is now the singer's third-longest-charting tune in the country. Just last frame, it was tied with 'When I Was Your Man' at 40 frames each, but now that ranking has shifted, and the piano ballad has been pushed to fourth place. 'Die With a Smile' still has a long way to go before matching Mars's two longest-charting tracks. 'Uptown Funk,' his smash with Mark Ronson, spent 76 weeks on the tally, while 'Just the Way You Are,' one of his earliest hits, racked up 66. It seems likely that 'Die With a Smile' will continue to chart for a while — perhaps several more months — but whether it will be able to match those two generation-defining singles won't be known for some time. 'Apt.' appears even higher than 'Die With a Smile' on the main songs ranking, which makes sense since it hasn't been charting for quite as long in the U.K. His Rosé collaboration has now spent 32 weeks on the Official Singles chart. With that total, the English/Korean tune is now tied as Mars's tenth-longest-running win in the U.K. It's currently matched with his own 'Billionaire,' and next week it will likely tie '24K Magic.'

Jelly Roll Hits A Career Peak On Multiple Charts With His New Smash

Jelly Roll's global profile has been growing for years now, but he has found the greatest commercial success in the United States, his home country. His music has recently begun taking off in the United Kingdom, thanks largely to a handful of popular collaborations. The multi-genre superstar — who has scored hits in America on hip-hop, country, rock, and pop rankings — rises higher than ever on a number of tallies across the Atlantic by joining forces with one of the hottest newcomers in the global music industry for a quick new smash. Jelly joins Alex Warren on his new single 'Bloodline,' which reaches multiple U.K. charts this frame. The tune debuts on four rosters, becoming a top 20 success on all of them and adding meaningfully to Jelly's short list of wins in each instance, as he hits a new career peak on every roster where the single debuts. Perhaps most excitingly, 'Bloodline' launches inside the top 10 on the Official Singles chart, the ranking of the most consumed songs in the U.K. The Warren duet opens at No. 9, far outpacing the No. 67 peak of 'Lonely Road,' Jelly's previous team-up with MGK (formerly known as Machine Gun Kelly). The same tune is also a win on the purchase-only tallies. Jelly collects his fourth career hit on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts, where 'Bloodline' launches at Nos. 14 and 12, respectively. The cut marks his first top 20 on the general sales list and his second on the downloads-only roster. On that ranking, 'Lonely Road' peaked at No. 20, so he easily claims a new high point. 'Bloodline' is also a top 20 winner on the Official Streaming chart, which looks only at plays on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and others. On that tally, Warren and Jelly launch their collaboration at No. 16. It earns the American musician his first placement on this format-specific list, which is surprising, given the popularity of some of his past releases. While Jelly has been racking up hits in a number of countries, including the U.K., for some time, it's Warren's newfound popularity that is largely to thank for the success of 'Bloodline' this week. In addition to scoring a new top 10, Warren leads the charge once again with his cut 'Ordinary.' That track has ruled the main songs list in the country for 11 weeks, and it has proved to be one of the biggest successes of 2025 and a true breakout smash for the singer-songwriter.

Morgan Wallen Manages A Very Rare Feat For Country Musicians Outside Of America

Morgan Wallen earns his first U.K. No. 1 album with I'm the Problem, topping multiple tallies and ... More sending two songs to the Official Singles chart. KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE - SEPTEMBER 22: Morgan Wallen performs onstage for night two of his One Night At A Time tour at Neyland Stadium on September 22, 2024 in Knoxville, Tennessee. (Photo byfor for Morgan Wallen's One Night At A Time 2024) Morgan Wallen may be one of the biggest musical stars in America right now, but since he's such a central figure in country music, his work doesn't usually reach a global audience like some rappers or pop stars might. With his latest full-length I'm the Problem, the Grammy nominee has finally scored a major win in the United Kingdom, where he's been steadily building an audience for years. His newest release debuts at No. 1, earning the superstar his first leader on several tallies. I'm the Problem opens at No. 1 on the Official Albums chart, which ranks the most consumed full-lengths and EPs in the U.K. That's the most important list of albums in the country — but it's not the only one where I'm the Problem runs the show. Wallen also starts his latest project atop the Official Albums Sales, Official Physical Albums, and Official Country Artists Albums rankings. Wallen dominates three of those four lists for the very first time. He has previously hit the top spot on the Official Country Artists Albums chart – several times, in fact. The singer-songwriter has only placed a trio of titles on the list, and all of them have spent at least one turn at No. 1. Dangerous led for half a dozen frames, while One Thing at a Time only managed a single stint in charge. Coincidentally, I'm the Problem also reaches the same starting point — No. 4 — on three other tallies. It kicks off its boots and makes a home in that spot on the Official Albums Streaming, Official Album Downloads, and Official Vinyl Albums charts simlutaneously. In almost every instance, Wallen collects his first top 10 win with I'm the Problem. He has previously entered the coveted top 10 on the Official Album Downloads chart and, of course, on the Official Country Artists Albums list, where he has accrued three leaders. Country music is not nearly as popular in the U.K. as it is in America, and it's rare for acts working in that style to top any ranking — let alone U.S.-based superstars. Wallen's reach now clearly extends beyond album rankings, as he scores two new hits on the Official Singles Chart. 'What I Want,' a collaboration with Tate McRae, launches highest, as it starts at No. 32. 'Just in Case,' another previous single from the set, finally debuts at No. 75, weeks after it was first released. Wallen has now accrued 10 placements on the most competitive songs ranking in that nation with these two wins.
