Michigan State hockey transfer finds new home in the ACHA
Michigan State hockey added Kaden Nelson to it's team for the 2024-25 season after the forward spent two seasons with the Oklahoma Warriors of the NAHL.
In his one season with the Spartans, Nelson unfortunately never touched the ice, and was a healthy scratch that earned a redshirt. After the conclusion of the season, Nelson decided to transfer from the program. Now, he has found his new home.
The former Spartan will be transferring down a couple of levels and playing ACHA (D2) hockey. Nelson will be joining Oklahoma State and their club hockey program for the upcoming season.
A Duluth (MN) native, Nelson spent two years in Oklahoma with the Warriors NAHL franchise, making his return to the state make sense:
