Interstate crash seriously injures six people in Autauga County
PINE LEVEL − Six people were seriously injured in a Thursday night crash on Interstate 65 just north of Prattville.
The Pine Level and Old Kingston volunteer fire departments answered the call about 11:30 p.m., the Pine Level department posted on its Facebook page. The crash was in the southbound lanes at mile marker 193. Six people had serious to "life-threatening" injuries. the post stated.
Two helicopters airlifted the most seriously injured to Birmingham hospitals for treatment. Four ambulances took four of the injured to area hospitals.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating the crash.
