Emily may still be in Paris, but her world is expanding fast—and not just geographically. Netflix 's fan-favorite romantic comedy Emily in Paris is returning for a fifth season in 2025, and with it comes an infusion of fresh energy, new entanglements, and more than a few surprises. According to Deadline, Season 5 is already in production and set to bring both familiar heartbreak and new beginnings—starting with three intriguing new in Paris is about to get a little more…American. Bryan Greenberg, best known for How to Make It in America, The Mindy Project, and most recently Suits LA, joins the cast as Jake, a fellow American expat living in the City of Light. This marks the highest number of American characters the show has seen at one time, with Jake joining Emily (Lily Collins) and last season's addition Genevieve (Thalia Besson).What Jake's role will be in Emily's increasingly complicated personal and professional life is still under wraps, but fans can expect sparks, cultural comedy, and perhaps a much-needed confidant—or rival—in the midst of her expanding joining Season 5 is iconic French actress Michèle Laroque , a César Award nominee celebrated for films like Ma Vie en Rose and The Closet. She'll be portraying Yvette, an old friend of Sylvie Grateau (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu). With Sylvie's romantic past catching up to her and her marriage to Laurent G (Arnaud Binard) still in play, Yvette's presence could stir new drama—or offer unexpected then there's Princess Jane, played by none other than Minnie Driver, whose casting was previously confirmed. As royalty enters the narrative, Emily's glamorous life takes yet another couture-laced 5 picks up mere days after Season 4's dramatic finale, as Emily settles into her new apartment in Rome. She's now helping manage Agence Grateau's Italian office and spending more time with Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini), the charismatic heir to a family-run cashmere empire. But even Rome can't shield her from the Parisian chaos she left behind—especially when Nico (Paul Forman), Mindy's ex and one of Season 4's emotional linchpins, makes his Nico's comeback stir unresolved feelings for Mindy (Ashley Park)?
