Omani citizens to enjoy visa-free travel to Armenia
Muscat: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that the Republic of Armenia will exempt citizens of the Sultanate of Oman from entry visa requirements, effective July 1, 2025. Under this new decision, Omani citizens will be permitted to reside in Armenia for a total period of up to 180 days per year without needing to obtain a visa in advance. The Ministry reminds all citizens planning to travel to Armenia of the importance of having a passport valid for at least six months from their date of entry. Additionally, travellers are urged to secure health insurance that covers their entire period of stay in Armenia.

Oman Embassy in Indonesia issues travel advisory to citizens
Muscat: The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Jakarta, Indonesia, has reissued a reminder to its citizens about the mandatory requirement for passports to be valid for more than six months when traveling to Indonesia. This is a strict entry requirement enforced by the Indonesian authorities. Omani citizens planning to travel to Indonesia must ensure their passports meet this validity period to avoid being denied entry.

Omanis, citizens of other countries evacuated from Iran
Muscat: In compliance with the directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Foreign Ministry in collaboration with government, military, security, and civilian entities, successfully completed the process of return of Omani citizens from the Islamic Republic of Iran. Along with citizens, a number of nationals from brotherly and friendly countries, totalling 2,013 were evacuated. This step was taken in response to the exceptional events witnessed by the Islamic Republic of Iran, and out of a commitment to ensuring the safety and security of Omani citizens and all those included in the operation.

Oman secures return of citizens, other nationals from Iran
Muscat: As part of the fifth phase of its national evacuation plan, the Oman Foreign Ministry, in coordination with relevant authorities in the Sultanate and Oman's diplomatic mission in Tehran, successfully repatriated 181 Omanis and several foreign nationals. 'The evacuees were transported from Mashhad in the Islamic Republic of Iran, transiting through Turkmenistan. They arrived safely by air at Muscat International Airport today,' the ministry added. In a related effort, the Foreign Ministry announced the implementation of the fourth phase of its evacuation plan. Oman received 294 evacuated citizens at Muscat International Airport via the Republic of Turkiye, along with a number of nationals from other countries. The Foreign Ministry expresses its deep appreciation for the integrated efforts of all relevant national authorities, particularly the support teams and field committees, as well as the constructive cooperation with the friendly Turkish authorities, which contributed to the smooth and safe execution of this phase. The Ministry also affirms its commitment to proceeding with the subsequent phases of the evacuation plan through continuous coordination with parties concerned inside and outside Oman, ensuring the safety and secure return of citizens to their homeland. With this phase, the total number of Omani citizens evacuated so far has risen to 1,188, while the number of other nationals whose return was facilitated stands at 281. This reflects Oman's humanitarian considerations and ongoing coordination efforts with brotherly and friendly nations.
