Nebraska football landed a series of expert predictions for class of 2026 four-star offensive tackle Claude Mpouma on Friday. On3's Sean Callahan, Steve Wilfong, and Bryan Munson put in the predictions, as the Huskers continued to gain momentum on the recruiting trail. Mpouma is set to make his decision on Monday at 5:00 p.m. CT. He is No. 127 overall player nationally, the No. 12 overall offensive tackle, and the third overall player in his class from the state of Illinois per the On3 Recruiting Rankings. He plays at Mount Carmel High School in Chicago, where his head coach is Jordan Lynch, a former Heisman Trophy finalist. The offensive tackle has visited the Huskers on multiple occasions. He took his first visit to Lincoln on November 2, 2024, and has visited twice since. Things can change quickly in recruiting. Nebraska makes top five for elite class of 2026 offensive tackle Nebraska football made the top five for 2026 four-star offensive tackle Claude Mpouma on Friday. He made the announcement on social media. The Michigan Wolverines, Ohio State Buckeyes, Florida Gators, and Auburn Tigers are the other teams on his list. Mpouma is the 178th overall player in the 2026 class, the 14th overall offensive lineman in the class, and the eighth overall player in the class from the state of Illinois per the On3 Recruiting Rankings. Mpouma has made three visits to the Huskers in the past year. He took unofficial visits on November 2 and February 1. He will then take an official visit to Lincoln on June 20. The offensive lineman has a busy schedule for June. He is currently visiting the Tigers, and he will take a trip to Gainesville to visit the Gators on June 13. The Huskers could certainly use an offensive lineman addition in the 2026 class. The class itself currently ranks 56th overall nationally per On3 rankings. Nebraska will have to beat out some elite programs for Mpouma. Nevertheless, it is encouraging that they made his top five.
