Iran, E3 Agree to Resume Nuclear Talks: Iranian Media
Iran and the European troika –the UK, France and Germany- have agreed to resume their nuclear negotiations, Tasnim news agency reported on Sunday, quoting an informed source. The source told Tasnim that Tehran and the European parties to the 2015 nuclear deal have come to an agreement in principle on the resumption of the talks about Iran's nuclear program, but the timing and location of the negotiations are under debate. The decision as to which country will be hosting the upcoming talks has not been finalized yet, the source said. Tasnim had obtained information earlier that Iran was considering a request from the European troika, referred to as EU3, about the resumption of talks on the nuclear issue and the removal of sanctions. Reports suggest that the next round of talks will be held at the level of deputy foreign ministers of Iran, the UK, France and Germany. #BREAKING | Iran and the 'Eurogroup' (E3, Germany, France, UK) have agreed to hold talks on the Iranian nuclear issue, according to Tasnim. No specific dates for the negotiations have been set yet. — The Global Eye (@TGEThGlobalEye) July 20, 2025 Tehran and Washington were engaged in negotiations led by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and US President Donald Trump's foreign envoy Steve Witkoff and had conducted five rounds of indirect talks mediated by Oman when Israel launched a series of unprovoked aggressions, which upended the process. While the Zionist regime waged a war of aggression against Iran on June 13 and struck Iran's military, nuclear, and residential areas for 12 days, the US stepped in and conducted military attacks on three nuclear sites in Iran's Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan on June 22. The Iranian military forces conducted powerful counterattacks immediately after the aggression. The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Aerospace Force carried out 22 waves of retaliatory missile strikes against the Zionist regime as part of Operation True Promise III, which inflicted heavy losses on cities across the occupied territories. Also, in response to the US attacks, Iranian armed forces launched a wave of missiles at Al-Udeid air base in Qatar, the largest American military base in West Asia. A ceasefire that came into force on June 24 has brought the fighting to a halt.

Iran State TV's NYC Correspondent Rachel Hamdoun Reports from Times Square Pro-Iran Rally: The Protest Is Celebrating Iran's 'Triumph in Operation True Promise III'
Rachel Hamdoun, the New York correspondent for Iran's English-language state broadcaster Press TV, reported from a June 28, 2025 protest in support of Iran and 'martyrs' killed in the war with Israel. The rally, organized by the Bronx Anti-War Coalition, featured participants waving Iranian flags, as well as the flags of U.S.-designated terror organizations such as Hizbullah and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). Protesters also held photos of senior IRGC generals assassinated in the war, along with images of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Hamdoun described the protest as a celebration of Iran's 'triumph in Operation True Promise III.' 'Che' of the Bronx Anti-War Coalition - whose identity was concealed with a mask and sunglasses - said Iran's 'forceful response' proved it would no longer tolerate aggression. 'Shivani' of the Freedom Road Socialist Organization called Iran's victory a 'blow to the Zionist entity and U.S. imperialism worldwide.' Sara Flounders of the Workers World Party also spoke at the event. Trump did not warn European leaders of strikes on Iran's nuclear sites
Washington, June 25 (UNI) US President Donald Trump did not inform European leaders in advance of his decision to strike Iranian nuclear facilities, Politico reported, citing an unnamed European official. Trump did not warn his European allies before authorizing the B-2 fighter jet strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities on June 22, the official said. At the G7 summit in Canada last week, however, Trump left the leaders feeling that he was leaning towards such an attack, the report said on Tuesday. However, on Sunday, Sky News reported, citing Downing Street sources, that the UK government had been pre-notified of the US strikes on Iran's nuclear sites. The situation in the Middle East escalated on June 13, when Israel launched a large-scale operation against Iran, accusing it of implementing a secret military nuclear program. Tehran retaliated by launching Operation True Promise III, hitting military targets inside Israel. On June 22, the United States struck three Iranian nuclear sites in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan, joining Israel's campaign against Iran. US President Donald Trump said after the attack that Tehran "must now agree to end this war" or face far more serious consequences. On Monday, Iran launched a missile strike on the US's Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar in response to the US attack. The strike resulted in zero casualties, as all the missiles apart from one were intercepted. Trump said late on Monday that Israel and Iran had agreed to a ceasefire. On Tuesday, Trump said that the ceasefire between Iran and Israel was now in effect. Iran denies the military dimension of its nuclear program. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has not seen concrete evidence that Iran has an active nuclear weapons program, Director General Rafael Grossi said on June 18. UNI SPUTNIK GNK

Israeli 'regime' was 'begging' US for ceasefire, Iran says
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement on Tuesday that the Israeli "regime" was "begging" the US for a ceasefire before President Donald Trump made the announcement on Monday, according to Iran's Press TV. Israel was 'frustrated by the heroic resistance of the Iranian nation", the IRGC said. It added that the last phase of its Operation True Promise III taught a 'historic and unforgettable lesson' to Israel after its 'brutal and blind' aggression, which killed more than 300 civilians in Tehran.

From Muscle Flexing To Ceasefire Violations: Israel-Iran War With US Intervention, What Now?
The relations between countries in the Middle East, also known as West Asia, have been on thin ice as Israel and Iran have been engaged in an all-out military conflict, leading to the destruction of life and property on both sides. The tensions further escalated when the United States launched an air assault on the three Iranian nuclear facilities- Fordo, Isfahan, and Natanz. Check here to understand how the conflict began and what was achieved as a result. Existential Threat To Israel? The conflict between Israel and Iran began when the latter allegedly started to develop its nuclear power. Jerusalem has repeatedly said that it fears for its existence if Iran develops its nukes. On June 14, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shared a video and wrote, "Israel is defending freedom in the Middle East and beyond." "We're doing so against a tyrannical and radical Iranian regime that wants to build atomic bombs to destroy us and wants to build ballistic missiles, including intercontinental ballistic missiles, to be able to threaten anyone and everywhere in the world," he added. Israel-Iran Conflict Begins On June 13, Israel attacked Iran under 'Operation Rising Lion' and in the days of tensions, several top officials struck and its nuclear sites. As per IDF, the individuals killed in the strikes include- Ali Shadmani (Iran's senior-most military official and Khamenei's closest military advisor), Amir Ali Hajizadeh (Commander of the IRGC's Air Force and Senior Chain of Command of the Air Force), and several others. In retaliation, Iran also launched a barrage of ballistic missiles at Israel, under 'Operation True Promise III'. Several sites in the country were hit in the attack. US On Israel-Iran War After the conflict began, the White House, on June 19 (IST), in a press conference, announced that US President Donald Trump would make his decision regarding America's involvement within two weeks. However, on June 22, the US launched air strikes at the three Iranian nuclear facilities, which Trump termed as a "very successful attack". Netanyahu-Trump Work Together After America's strikes in Iran, the Israeli PM, speaking in English, thanked Trump and the US and said, "President Trump and I often say: 'Peace through strength.'" "First comes strength, then comes peace," he added. He also added that the US has "denied" Iran of "the world's most dangerous weapons". The 'friendship' between Netanyahu and Trump is also evident from the repeated Truth Social posts of the US President and Netanyahu thanking Trump on more than one occasion. Iran Enters Qatar After US' strikes, Iran on Monday, June 23 (IST), attacked America's air base in Qatar. This prompted Doha to also "condemn" the act, and subsequently, its Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Iranian Ambassador. On the other hand, Qatar's Advisor to the PM and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari, expressed Doha's "strong condemnation" of the attack that targeted Al-Udeid Air Base by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. Final Ceasefire? Following the attack on the US airbase in Qatar, Trump rallied his power and announced a cessation of hostilities between Israel and Iran. After the announcement, the IDF in a post on X claimed that there was a violation of the ceasefire. The Israeli military quoted the Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir, as saying, "In light of the severe violation of the ceasefire carried out by the Iranian regime, we will respond with force." Trump, on the other hand, reacted to the violation and urged Israel to practice restraint and not "drop those bombs". Current Situation The result of this conflict between Israel and Iran, with the US playing its part, cannot be measured in terms of a winner or loser. However, it should be viewed through the lens of the US and Israel's aim to stop Iran from producing nuclear weapons. While Trump claimed that Iran can "never rebuild their nuclear facilities", it remains to be seen what the Islamic Republic will do next.
