Oppi Kus '25 ready for top acts and good vibes

The South Coast's beloved Oppi Kus Musiekfees '25 is back and ready to rock the Douglas Mitchell Sports Grounds in Uvongo on Friday, July 11 and Saturday, July 12. Music lovers can look forward to two jam-packed days of local favourites, legendary bands and a festival vibe that brings families and friends together. This year's line-up has something for everyone – from DJs warming up the crowd as the gates open, to chart-topping artists and bands keeping the party alive well into the night. The Douglas Mitchell grounds will once again transform into a festive village, complete with food stalls, refreshments and plenty of space to relax, dance and soak up the coastal winter sun. Margate Round Tabler Shane Woolley said the team is excited to host locals and visitors for another memorable weekend. 'Oppi Kus is more than just a music festival – it's about bringing our community together, supporting South African artists and creating a space where families and friends can have a great time,' he said. 'We can't wait to welcome everyone back this year – see you at the grounds.' To secure your place at this popular event, get your tickets early. Tickets are available at OK Liquors (Uvongo and Southbroom), Dougies Sports Bar, Gasmart (Southcoast Mall), PostNet (Shelly Centre), Office National (Tweni Centre) or Just Property (Uvongo). They can also be booked online at Organisers have urged festivalgoers not to leave ticket purchases to the last minute – if the venue reaches capacity, gate sales will close. Parking is available at the sports ground for R30, with proceeds going to the Douglas Mitchell Sports Ground and Warriors Rugby Club. Entry is through the top gate only. So, round up your friends, grab your tickets, bring your dancing shoes and get ready for two unforgettable days of live music and good vibes at Oppi Kus Musiekfees '25.
