Hot sleepers will love Coop's new cooling bedding collection — just in time for summer

Release date: 15 May 2025Products: Tencel sheet set, duvet cover and pillowcase setWarranty: 1 year for bedding and 5 years for pillowsTrial: 100 nights Summer is a time dreaded by hot sleepers and it's soon approaching. The good news is that Coop Sleep Goods has launched its specialist cooling Tencel bedding collection as well as adding some new additions to its Cool+ bedding range. Coop is a reputed sleep brand featured in our best pillow of the year guide, thanks to its Original Adjustable Pillow. Alongside excellent pillows, Coop also offer specialist sheets, bedding, mattress toppers and mattress protectors to deliver customizable support and comfort for all sleepers. And the new bedding range is a dream come true for hot sleepers, letting them create a naturally cooling and breathable bedroom set up with Tencel sheet sets, duvet covers, pillowcases and more. An additional Cool+ mattress topper and body pillow are now available too, for the ultimate summer set up. With the upcoming Memorial Day mattress sales, we expect to see some discounts soon, too, making it a great time to invest in your sleep. Here's everything you need to know about Coop's latest launch. With the right bedding atop your bed, you can improve the comfort of even the best mattress of the year, making it more suited to your sleep needs. One way to do this, is to add cooling products for better temperature regulation, especially if you experience night sweats, hot flashes or sleep naturally hot at night. Unlike the current cooling bedsheets available on Coop Sleep Goods, for instance, the Comphy CoolSpa Sheet Set made from a synthetic blend of nylon and spandex, the new collection features naturally breathable and lightweight Tencel Lyocell fabric. This is a plant-derived (from eucalyptus) material, which is soft, ultra-breathable and moisture wicking, making it a perfect choice for hot sleepers. When used in sheets, pillowcases and duvet covers as a single pick sateen weave 300 thread count, it creates not only a luxurious silky smooth touch but a clean, cool and comfortable environment. The new Coop Tencel collection includes: Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. All products are OEKO-TEX certified to be free from harmful substances and chemicals and are available in three chic calming colors: white, cream and grey. The brand has also taken efforts to remain environmentally conscious by ensuring all raw materials come from well-managed, certified natural forests and sustainably harvested trees. The Coop Tencel collection includes sheet sets, pillowcases and duvet covers. Befitting cooling bedding, the new Tencel range comes at a more expensive price compared to its SoftSpa, Percale and CoolSpa sheet sets. Every sheet set includes a top sheet, a fitted sheet and two pillowcases. The MSRP of a twin set is currently $159 while a queen is priced at $199. The duvet cover, on the other hand, is available in two size variants: full/queen at $159 and king/Cal king at $179. Coop Tencel pillowcases are available as a pair. The MSRP of a queen set is $39 while a pack of king pillowcases will cost you $45. Coop also offers a 100-night trial and one-year limited warranty for all bedding including sheets, pillowcases and duvet covers. Along with the new range, Coop has also expanded their existing Cool+ collection of pillows and sheets by adding a mattress topper, an adjustable body pillow and a fun-size of the popular Cool+ Adjustable Pillow we reviewed. Like some of our best mattress toppers of the year, the new Cool+ topper is designed to ease your pressure points and provide comfy support with its cool-to-touch top surface. It is available in sizes starting from twin to Cal king. However, if you're an extremely hot sleeper, we recommend that you pair up the Cool+ mattress topper with one of this year's best cooling mattresses which incorporate advanced technology to beat the heat this summer. The Cool+ Adjustable body pillow, on the other hand, is a cooling counterpart of the Coop Original Adjustable Pillow we reviewed, which can a be boon for side sleepers, prone to overheat. Similar to how our best mattresses for side sleepers work, the Coop Cool+ body pillow crafted from cooling gel-infused plus-shaped memory foam, cradles to your form, giving you ample support by maintaining your spinal alignment, all the while providing cooling relief to get a refreshing sleep. The major advantage is that you can add or remove the filling to suit your sleeping preferences and make it as cushioning or firm as you like. The brand has also introduced a toddler-version of the Cool+ Adjustable Pillow (formerly called the Coop EdenCool+ Adjustable) so that your little ones can now sleep cool and comfortable all night. The expanded Cool+ range includes a mattress protector, adjustable body pillow and Cool+ Adjustable Pillow for toddlers. Similar to the Tencel sheet range, the Cool+ mattress topper is available in six sizes from twin to Cal king. The price of a twin topper is $249 while a queen is $349. Both the Cool+ Body Pillow and the toddler Cool+ Adjustable Pillow are each available in a single standard size, priced at $169 and $49 respectively. The pillows come with a 100-night sleep trial and 5-year warranty. The mattress protector, on the hand, includes the same trial period but with a limited one-year warranty.

These Deals Fest exclusives are so good that our own editors are shopping them

At CNN Underscored, we only want the very best for our readers. Luckily, we secured just that during our annual Deals Fest, a three-day event featuring savings on 26 editor-loved brands and products. The savings have even motivated our own staffers to shop. As commerce editors who regularly track sales and deals, we're precious with what we spend our own money on. However, this spring Deals Fest made it easier to decide with deals on Caraway pots and pans for 25% off and majorly-discounted Onsen towels. Shop like a CNN Underscored editor, below. Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Icons Skin Care Gift Set When my skin barrier was at its most damaged, the Glow Recipe niacinamide serum helped tame irritation on my face. That's why I'm psyched to see this exclusive deal on the whole lineup. Its toner can help shrink the appearance of pores, while its moisturizer delivers a refreshing scent. — Jacqueline Saguin, deals editor Coop Sleep Goods Original Adjustable Pillow I bought myself a pillow from Coop Sleep last fall, and it improved the quality of my sleep. I haven't touched the other pillow in my bed since, and figure today's 25% off sale means it's finally time to purchase a second one. — Rikka Altland, senior deals editor Brooklinen Luxe Sateen Duvet Cover Regardless of what season it is, I love sleeping with a fluffy duvet. My room is always a crisp 60-something degrees when I'm sleeping, so I needed a duvet cover that would keep me cool. When I purchased this one from Brooklinen years ago, little did I know that it would become a favorite of mine. I'm buying a new mattress, so I'm snagging a discounted duvet to go along with it in one of the brand's new spring prints. — Elena Matarazzo, associate deals editor Tangle Teezer The Zodiac Ultimate Detangler As some of you might've seen from a recent video on CNN Underscored's Instagram, I have a small (and growing) collection of Tangle Teezer brushes — three to be exact! These gamechangers work on wet and dry hair, and the ingenious bristle design makes it much less painful to get out knots. Plus, the designs are just so cute. I'm currently obsessed with my Virgo astrology one! I've been giving them to friends too. They're just as in love with them as I am. — Tamara Kraus, senior lifestyle editor Mickey Mouse Disney Repeating Tennis Bracelet I'm personally a big Disney fan. If you are, too, then this is the bracelet for you. It's subtle yet effective for adding some Disney magic to your outfit. I get compliments on it all the time. —Gabriella Triolo, social coordinator Mission Original Cooling Towel When I tested cooling towels last spring, the Mission Cooling Towel was far and away my favorite of the bunch. It's low profile enough to throw in a gym bag or running hydration pack without taking up valuable space. Most importantly, it actually gets cold when activated. The brushed microfiber fabric is incredibly soft against the skin, which helps keep me extra comfortable while I'm cooling off. It's an easy-to-use towel that helps me endure the sweatiest and stickiest days of summer. —Jillian Tracy, associate editor Caraway Stainless Steel Cookware Set I'm obsessed with my Caraway pans. They're easy to clean and have stayed almost as good as new in the two years I've been using them (admittedly, the bottoms could use a better clean on my part). The organization system the pans come with is thrilling to me as a type-A Virgo. I recommend them to all my friends and family who are in the market for new cookware. — Ellen McAlpine, updates writer Cozy Earth Women's Bamboo Stretch-Knit Short-Sleeve and Shorts Pajama Set I gave my mom a pair of Cozy Earth's editor-loved pajamas in the tulip pattern as an early Mother's Day gift, and as soon as she put them on, she said she couldn't stop touching them. I'm also a fan of these cooling pajamas, and they make going to bed feel luxe. — Tamara Krause, senior lifestyle editor Onsen 3-Piece Supima Waffle Bath Sheet Bundle I love my Onsen towels! I opted for the set with the larger bath sheets, which are perfect for wrapping myself in post-shower. The light waffle weave and Onsen's soft Supima cotton help me dry off super quickly. I've had mine for a couple of years now, and they've kept their shape and softness beautifully, which is a testament to their quality. —Sophie Shaw, fashion & beauty editorRead our review Beckham Hotel Collection Original Down-Alternative Pillow I've never spent more than $15 on a pillow before, but when I moved last summer, I decided to upgrade to these Beckham Hotel Collection pillows. I was sleeping better almost instantly. After a year of daily use, these pillows are still as perky as the day I bought them. They're firm enough to offer head and neck support without feeling stiff. If the sticker shock of spending almost $100 on a customized pillow is too much to bear, I'd highly recommend taking the plunge on these for a more affordable option that will massively improve your rest. —Jillian Tracy, associate editor Bug Bite Thing Suction Tool in White, 2-Pack I'm a huge fan of the Bug Bite Thing. If you find your bug bite fast enough and use the Bug Bite Thing, it truly relieves the itching and general suffering that typically comes. Since you have to use it fast, I carry one whenever I'm hiking or camping, have one in my medicine cabinet and another in my car so they're always handy. — Kai Burkhardt, outdoors, sustainable living & pets editor Best Choice Products Oversized Padded Zero Gravity Chair I just bought the Zero Gravity chair in purple. What a bargain at less than $70. Now that the weather is finally getting better in NYC, I need something to lie on to work on my summer tan. This one has a cup holder and device slots for my phone and Kindle (or book), so it is a must-have for my roof deck. — Rachel Quigley, managing editor Allbirds Men's Tree Toppers I bought these during an Allbirds sale a few months ago after having my eyes on them for years, and I'm so glad I finally caved. They're great sneakers for warm weather because the material is incredibly light and airy. This exclusive discount is even tempting me to pick them up in another color. — Joe Bloss, associate testing writer Beats Powerbeats Pro Wireless Earbuds When I'm working out, the last thing I want to be concerned with is my headphones falling out. That's why I love sporting these Powerbeats Pro earbuds. The over-ear design means they stay put through sweaty workouts and even marathons but are still comfortable enough to wear for daily commuting or traveling. A day rarely goes by when I don't reach for these headphones for one reason or another, and after years of abuse, they still sound great. —Jillian Tracy, associate editorRead our review Thermacell E65 Rechargeable Mosquito Repeller I also picked up the rechargeable Thermacell last year, and it is a lifesaver. Mosquitos love me so much that my friends and family feel safe when I'm around, because they know the little bloodsuckers will target me. Keeping the Thermacell nearby miraculously keeps me bite-free, no icky sprays or annoying scents needed. — Kai Burkhardt, outdoors, sustainable living & pets editor BaubleBar Disney Mickey Mouse Classic Pavé Bag Charm BaubleBar's Disney collaboration is everything and more. They have luxurious-looking Disney items but at a more affordable price tag. This bag charm is of such high quality, but at a great price. — Gabriella Triolo, social coordinator The staffers here at CNN Underscored test and vet products for a living. We've come across our fair share of good and bad, and the ones above are so good, we had to get them for ourselves. These picks also have deals because of CNN Underscored's Deals Fest, so it's even more reason to buy now. In most cases, these exclusive offers are the best you'll find on the web right now; in fact, some are the best prices ever for these coveted items. These deals are so exciting that there's no telling how long each of these marked-down products will stay in stock, so we'd recommend checking out ASAP to lock in your special savings when the event arrives. Our team of bargain hunters have a combined decades-long experience with deal vetting to help give our readers savvy buying advice. Advocating for shoppers is what we're all about, ensuring we only recommend the best prices on top-performing products. Each member of our team, including senior deals editor Rikka Altland, deals editor Jacqueline Saguin and associate deals editor Elena Matarazzo, specializes in a different area of interest to help whittle down the latest and greatest deals.

The 6 Best King-Size Pillows For Comfortable Support And Extra Space

Whether you have a larger bed or simply crave extra space and support for your head while sleeping, the best king-size pillows provide unrivaled comfort. The ideal pillow for you depends on your body type, sleeping position and material preference. After testing and researching dozens of options, we chose the Coop Sleep Goods Original Adjustable Pillow as our top pick overall, as it can accommodate a wide variety of sleepers due to its adjustable, supportive feel. The best king-size pillows offer ample support while fitting comfortably in your sleep space. Our ... More picks include options from Coop Sleep Goods, Tempur-Pedic and more. But if the Coop's shredded memory foam doesn't appeal to you, we rounded up five other options that vary in fill, construction, firmness and loft. As Dr. Angela Holliday-Bell, a board-certified physician and certified sleep specialist, explains: 'The right pillow will provide the support needed to keep your head, neck and spine in neutral alignment while sleeping.' From latex to down, these king-size pillows suit a range of needs. Coop Sleep Goods Fill: Crosscut memory foam and microfiber | Cover fabric: Lulltra (bamboo-derived viscose rayon and polyester blend) | Loft: Adjustable | Trial/warranty: 100-night trial; five-year warranty Best for: Skip if: This adjustable pillow from Coop Sleep Goods has been a Forbes Vetted favorite for several years now. It uses shredded memory foam and microfiber for its fill, which allows it to be more responsive and breathable than solid foam. The pillow comes with an extra half pound of fill so you can add (or remove) as much as you like. Along with the standard rectangular shape, the Original Adjustable Pillow comes in a crescent shape specifically for side sleepers who also sleep on their backs and a cutout shape for strict side sleepers. Just note that those cost more. I tested this pillow for about two weeks and found it offers a contouring, supportive feel that fits my needs as a side and back sleeper. Forbes Vetted managing editor Emmy Favilla has been using this pillow every night for the last four months and says it quickly became her new go-to, adding that 'it's comfortable no matter what position I'm sleeping in.' It's also easy to care for, as both the pillow and outer cover are machine washable. Amazon Fill material: Down alternative | Cover fabric: Polyester microfiber | Loft: Unspecified | Trial/warranty: 30-day trial through Amazon; one-year warranty Pros: Cons: This set of down-alternative pillows comes in soft and medium firmness options; soft is recommended for stomach sleepers, while medium is best for back and side sleepers. Over 23,500 reviewers have given the pillows a 5-star rating, with many complimenting their soft yet supportive feel. The down-alternative fill is also a good option for those who suffer from allergies, and you can machine-wash and dry the pillows to ensure cleanliness. Our testers also say the pillows hold up over time with no signs of flattening or getting lumpy after multiple washes and months of use. However, since they do have a fluffier feel to them, you may need to periodically fluff them. Along with the competitive price tag, Amazon Basics offers a 30-day return window and one-year warranty. Tempur-Pedic Fill material: Memory foam | Cover fabric: Polyester knit | Loft: 5 inches | Trial/warranty: No trial; five-year warranty Best for: Skip if: The Tempur-Pedic Tempur-Cloud Pillow features the brand's popular memory foam, Tempur-Material, which is known for its cozy, moldable and cradling feel. Our tester describes the foam as doughy, soft and slow-moving—offering great support and pressure relief for back and stomach sleepers. (This particular pillow is not designed for side sleepers.) The pillow's cover is removable and washable, and you can easily compress the pillow to take it on the go. Though our tester didn't experience any overheating with the Tempur-Cloud, you can upgrade to a cooling version if you tend to sleep hot. Purple Fill material: Talalay latex, polyester | Cover fabric: 92% nylon fiber, 8% spandex fiber | Loft: 5.5, 6.5 or 7.5 inches | Trial/warranty: 100-night trial; one-year warranty Best for: Skip if: Unlike the majority of pillows I've tested, the Purple Harmony Pillow doesn't require constant flipping throughout the night to find the cool side. This is thanks to its breathable cover, Talalay latex and proprietary GelFlex Grid, which allow for air to pass through the pillow more easily. Along with regulating temperature, these materials offer a nontraditional feel (similar to a gel shoe insole) that I find to be extremely comfortable and supportive. There's a nice level of give, but there's no need to fluff the pillow the next day thanks to the bounciness and strength of the materials. The Harmony is offered in three different heights, so you can pick the right one for your needs. The lowest is recommended for stomach and back sleepers, while the middle and tallest are recommended for side or combination sleepers. Casper Sleep Fill material: Polyester microfiber | Cover fabric: Cotton | Loft: 9 inches | Trial/warranty: 30-night trial; one-year warranty Pros: Cons: The Casper has a pillow-in-pillow design to provide a soft yet supportive feel. I tested this pillow for several months and found it to be comfortable for side and back sleeping, with the right amount of sinkage. It now lives in my guest room and has stayed in great shape for more than three years. It's a little denser than most down pillows, such as the Parachute Down Pillow, but it still offers enough contouring for your head and neck. As one of our testers describes it: It has a give and feel that's similar to classic down, but is less squishy. You can also throw the entire pillow into the washer and dryer for easy cleaning. Just note the Casper has the highest loft (height) on this list, which may not be comfortable for some stomach sleepers. Parachute Fill material: 85% down clusters, 15% down and feather fibers | Cover fabric: Cotton sateen | Loft: 5 to 8 inches | Trial/warranty: 60-night trial; three-year warranty Pros: Cons: The Parachute Down Pillow comes in soft, medium and firm densities for stomach, back and combination sleepers to choose from, along with a model specifically for side sleepers. No matter the density you pick, the down is luxuriously fluffy and plush. Our tester says it squishes and sinks but doesn't entirely collapse beneath you, resulting in a relaxing cloud-like experience. The pillow has double stitching to help keep the feathers from poking out, and the down is certified by the Responsible Down Standard to meet strict animal welfare standards. Like most down pillows, it does require some regular fluffing in order to return to its original shape—the brand recommends doing so once a week. You can also machine-wash it on a gentle cycle with cool water and tumble dry on low heat. The Forbes Vetted team has extensively researched and tested hundreds of pillows to recommend the best ones for various sleep needs. Along with rounding up the best pillows overall, our robust library of sleep content consists of the best sheets, the best mattresses and more. To compile a list of the best king-size pillows, we relied on our team's testing experience and thorough research of top brands. It's important to factor in your personal needs when shopping for a new pillow—regardless of its size—such as sleeping position, material preferences and firmness. Here's what to keep in mind. King-size pillows are made for king-size and California king mattresses, since their bigger size (20 x 36 inches) can fill up the larger beds. That said, you can still put two of them on a queen-size mattress if you like a fuller look or one of them on a twin or full-size mattress. In comparison, a standard pillow measures 20 x 26 inches, or 10 inches narrower. But at the end of the day, 'the size of the pillow doesn't matter as much as the type of support,' says Dr. Holliday-Bell. Most brands, especially those that offer different heights or firmnesses, share recommendations for specific sleeping positions for their pillows. That's because different sleeping positions require different types in order to keep their head and neck properly supported. King-size pillows can be especially great for combination sleepers who switch from one position to another throughout the night, but other sleepers can enjoy them too. Body type can also play a role in this, with larger bodies typically needing a higher-loft pillow and smaller body frames doing better with a lower-loft pillow. (More on this below.) Loft refers to the height of a pillow, and firmness to how dense it is (think: how much your head sinks into it). Different materials will result in different firmnesses. 'There is no one-size-fits-all in terms of pillow material recommendations. However, there are some generalizations based on sleeping position,' says Dr. Holliday-Bell. She notes that the biggest concern if you choose the wrong pillow loft or firmness for your needs is that back or neck pain (or strain) can develop. 'Back sleepers tend to do well with a medium-firm material,' Dr. Holliday-Bell adds. They also do best with a medium loft. 'Stomach sleepers tend to do better with a softer, more compressible pillow fill like feather or down pillows.' With that, a lower loft is preferred. And lastly, she says, 'Side sleepers tend to do better with thicker, firmer-filled pillows like memory foam.' High-end hotels typically use down pillows that are made from 100% duck or goose down (the soft undercoating of the animals). It results in a soft, fluffy and luxurious feel. King-size pillows are typically best for king-size mattresses since two of them equal the width of a king bed (76 inches). You can use standard or queen-size pillows if you prefer, but just keep in mind they won't cover the full width and may not be as aesthetically pleasing. Our best-rated pillow is the Coop Sleep Goods Adjustable Pillow because it can accommodate a variety of sleepers' needs and preferences. As its name states, it's adjustable, so you can add or remove fill to your liking to make it feel softer or firmer.
