Primark's new £10 summer top is perfect & Other Stories dupe – it has pretty detail to flatter mum tums & cinches you in
PRIMARK is renowned for releasing stylish items that remind shoppers of luxury versions - but with a more purse-friendly price tag. And the high street giant has delivered the goods yet again in the form of a £10 T-shirt. 5 The heavyweight top comes in brown or ivory and features a knot detail across the front. This pretty touch is perfect for flattering mum tums and giving a 'cinched in' appearance. Available in sizes XS to XL, the T-shirt also boasts a gold button across the knot for some added luxury. Staff at Primark's Lincoln store hailed the new summer arrivals as "10/10 no notes" as they shared a clip of them on TikTok. And it looks like fashion fans are in full agreement, as one gushed: "This is cute." "What a slay", insisted another. Meanwhile, a third cried: "We need omg." Savvy shoppers may also notice that the high street giant's T-shirt bears a striking resemblance to a pricier version. The & Other Stories Knot-Detail T-Shirt is also available in white or brown. Designed with a round neck and three-quarter sleeves, they say the knot-detail at the front "creates a cinched waist with decorative gathers". Primark's mini dress is a copy of a £135 designer version - it'll give you a gorgeous hourglass figure & perfect for date night The only difference between the two? A saving of £17. The & Other Stories version is priced at £27 while Primark's dupe will only set you back £10. So if you're on a tight budget then you may want to head down to your nearest Primark. Dupe delight The new £10 tops aren't the only dupes that shoppers are going wild for in Primark. Fashion fans have also spotted £18 summer dresses that are great for looking stylish without breaking your bank account. The retail giant's Textured Button Midi Dress is lightweight with a textured finish and midi length design. It is available in sizes six to 22 and comes in a range of colours and patterns including green and cream striped, blue gingham and red striped. Describing the new frock on their website, Primark bosses say: "Cut a chic figure and get set for the compliments to come rolling in as you rock this elegant textured midi dress. "The midi length is super sophisticated, meanwhile the lightweight fabric is perfect for staying cool on those warm weather days. 5 5 "The striped textured finish lends a stylish look and feel, while the button detailing to the front effortlessly elevates the look. "This piece is finished with lightly puffed sleeves and a form-flattering tie to the waistline." And savvy shoppers may notice that the dress is the perfect dupe for the Starlight Midi Dress, priced at £89, from Nobody's Child. After spotting them in store, fashion fan Chloe said on TikTok: "Nobody's Child dupes in Primark. "I LOVE the style of Nobody's Child dresses, so it was great to see some similar styles in more affordable prices if you also love that style. "I only went in for one thing, but you never leave Primark with just what you went in looking for." Fashion fans are also in a frenzy over Primark's new £6 Zara dupe that's a summer essential, half the price and "so cute". Many of us will own or recognise the iconic Wide Strap Vest Tops from Zara. But now, Primark has released a brand new range of vests that look practically identical. Why Primark is great for looking expensive on a budget By Clemmie Fieldsend, Fabulous Fashion Editor AS someone who's no stranger to grabbing a last-minute outfit from Primark for a night out, it's about time that celebrities started catching on too. For as long as I've been heading out, Primark has been my go-to for those 'I have nothing to wear' moments, rushing in at the last minute to find something perfect. And I'm definitely not alone - on any Friday or Saturday night, you'll find plenty of shoppers doing the same thing, right before closing time. But no matter what, Primark always delivers. Now, Rita Ora is leading the charge, showing that you can snag a designer-worthy look without spending a fortune at high-end stores. While Rita's not rushing in last minute for a red carpet outfit, she's proving you can achieve the same high-impact style for much less. Looking stunning in her tailored suit alongside her mum Vera, Rita fit right in among the other A-listers dripping in Prada, Dior, and Victoria Beckham - if anything, she looked even better than some of the guests at The Fashion Awards. With Myleene Klass and Roxy Horner already jumping on the Primark bandwagon, I'm sure more stars will be following suit soon enough.

H&M profits fall as stores close and boss weighs 'uncertain times'
H&M Group has unveiled a sharp fall in operating profits after the retailer closed stores and suffered the impact of currency fluctuations and high freight costs. The world's second-largest listed fashion retailer saw operating profits slump 22 per cent for the six months to SEK 7.1billion, or £548million, in the six months to 1 May. It credited the drop to a lower gross margin driven by 'negative external factors such as a more expensive US dollar and high freight costs, but also by markdowns and the company's investments in the customer offering'. H&N also finished the second quarter with 4 per cent fewer shops worldwide than it had at the same point a year ago. At the beginning of the second quarter, the business had 125 fewer stores than at the same time a year earlier, with net store closures coming in at 47. Across all its locations, it had 4,166 shops on 31 May 2025, against 4,319 a year ago. Update: H&M Group flagged store closures and lower operating profits in its latest half-year update During the first six months of the current financial year, 24 new stores opened and 111 shops closed, H&M Group said. The group, which operates H&M and brands like Cos and & Other Stories, said there were 3,706 H&M stores open globally on 31 May 2025, compared to 3,832 the previous year. H&M eyes improvement The world's second-largest listed fashion retailer said it expected sales in June, measured in local currencies, to rise 3 per cent, representing an improvement after a 6 per cent fall a year ago in the same period. H&M also said it was ploughing on with plans to open new shops and an online shopping website in Brazil later this year. The group said it would benefit from Brazil's population of around 200million people. Chief executive, Daniel Ervér, said: 'Our plan, with its focus on the product offering, the shopping experience and brand, is again confirmed by the progress we see. 'The positive development in important areas such as online, H&M womenswear and H&M Move, as well as continued focus on good cost control, will contribute to a profitable sales development. 'In uncertain times with cautious consumers we monitor macroeconomic and geopolitical developments closely and continuously adapt both the customer offering and the business to meet our customers' needs in the best way. In November, H&M confirmed it would be closing its call centre in Edinburgh, Scotland, with 150 jobs lost. H&M blamed increased competition, changing customer behaviours and operational costs for the closure. The Swedish-based business announced during the Covid-19 pandemic that it planned to close 250 shops globally. This year, the group closed all its Monki stores across Britain. British retailers face a barrage of higher costs as a result of changes to employer national insurance contributions and the national minimum wage announced in the Autumn Budget by Rachel Reeves last year.

H&M sales expected to edge higher as turnaround continues
H&M investors will be hoping the high street fashion chain shows it is on the road to recovery next week despite caution among many shoppers. The retailer is expected to report a slight rise in sales for the latest quarter in an update on Thursday June 26 as it continues with its turnaround strategy. It comes after the Swedish firm reported weaker-than-expected sales for the first quarter of its financial year in its previous update in March. H&M saw net sales grow 2% to 55.3 billion Swedish krona (£4.24 billion) for the three months to February 28. However, it flagged that this slowed down to 1% in March amid continued pressure on consumer finances. Sales growth was also knocked by H&M's plans to trim its store estate and help simplify its operations over the past year. H&M said it had 40 net store closures over the quarter and has continued to shut sites in recent months. The overhaul of its store estate is part of a major turnaround plan under Daniel Erver, who became chief executive last year. The group, which also owns & Other Stories and Cos, is seeking to accelerate recent sluggish growth. Deutsche Bank's Adam Cochrane stressed however that trading in the latest quarter is 'unlikely to be the turning point'. He added: 'H&M is progressing through its turnaround but there will be relatively limited evidence of this in Q2, given the unhelpful weather conditions around Europe and the impact of negative currency exchange translation. 'Our updated earnings forecast of 5.6 billion Swedish krona is showing a 21% decline year-on-year, better than 42% in Q1 but still hard to provide evidence of a sustainable turnaround.' Mr Cochrane added that a build up in stock inventory at the end of the first quarter is unlikely to have completely unwound in recent months and could pose 'a further problem' going into the second half of the year. Deutsche Bank predicted H&M would see sales growth slow to 1.5% for the latest quarter but indicated this would be a roughly 5% drop once currency rates are taken into account. Jefferies equity analyst James Grzinic is more pessimistic, pointing to growth of 0.5% for the quarter. He said the brokerage is taking a 'more cautious view' to H&M's recent trading, after signs that the rival Chinese platforms are 'losing momentum' in the US.
