Our Yorkshire Farm's Clive Owen looks to the future as he says 'this is my last day'
Our Yorkshire Farm star Clive Owen, who appears in the Channel 5 series alongside wife Amanda, was forced to take some time off from the farm for an important reason Our Yorkshire Farm favourite Clive Owen was compelled to step away from his agricultural duties as he underwent hip surgery. During a repeat broadcast of Our Farm Next Door, which screens today, Clive revealed his apprehension about the procedure, which meant temporarily abandoning his farming responsibilities. Speaking directly to the camera, Clive remarked: "I don't want folk to think I just stand around and ponder." He subsequently revealed: "Tomorrow, I have got to be in hospital for half 7 in the morning for a new hip. So, I wouldn't say I am really looking forward to it, but that is what's going to happen, so this is my last day for a little while. "I'll be back, and I'll just have to tell everyone what to do and drive them all mad," reports the Manchester Evening News. Clive confessed: "I am going to be a bit nervous, but I am alright with it, I'll do exactly what they tell me, and the next thing you wake up and it's done. "I have had one you see so I know the procedure, like it or not that is what is happening tomorrow." Later in the programme, Clive is shown instructing his sons on overseeing the farm whilst he recuperated. Despite his circumstances, Clive kept his wit intact, acknowledging, "I have definitely been a horrible patient because I am impatient." He showed appreciation for his sons, stating, "I couldn't have managed without these lads to do what needed doing. So yeah, they have done very well." Clive hinted that his lads might carry on leading: "It means from now on they needn't hand the reins back to me, they can just carry on. "I could find myself redundant," he joked, before turning to his son and asking, "What do you think, Miley?" He emphasised the core of family farming: "That is what family farms are all about, everybody has to help." Our Farm Next Door is available to watch on All4.

Our Yorkshire Farm's Reuben Owen 'doesn't want a career in TV' as he opens up on leaving farm
Our Yorkshire Farm star Reuben Owen has opened up about his future on TV as he admitted he doesn't want a career in the industry and doesn't have time for social media Our Yorkshire Farm's Reuben Owen has cast his gaze towards the future, revealing that a career in television isn't quite his cup of tea. The young star gained recognition alongside his family on the Channel 4 hit series. Post-show, Reuben has ventured solo with his own Channel 5 series, Life in the Dales. The recently concluded second series follows him and his mates as he aims to expand his machinery business. Additionally, Reuben features in Our Farm Next Door with his family, where they breathe new life into a dilapidated farmhouse known as Anty John's. Yet, speaking to the Telegraph, Reuben shared insights into his aspirations beyond the small screen. While he enjoys sharing his rural life with viewers, he also expressed a desire to be recognised for his work off-screen, stating, "I want to be known as the guy who digs holes." He remarked, "I don't have the time or the inclination to scroll through social media," reports the Express. "If you do ever see me on my phone, I'll be searching for machinery sales." Further elaborating on his ambitions, he said: "I don't want a career on television, I want to be known as the guy who digs big holes; my current ambition is to buy a 50-ton excavator. Now that really would be the realisation of a dream." In the closing moments of Life in the Dales, Reuben hinted at a potential departure from his family's abode at Ravenseat Farm. He revealed: "It's been a hectic time. Three years in business, I'm 21 now. We've got plenty of diggers, plenty of work on, couple of bunch of team and staff on with me, got Jess [his girlfriend] with me, who's an absolute star. "Think the next thing we need to think about is getting somewhere a bit better to keep all these machines, and hopefully somewhere for me to live as well. "That's the dream next. Get myself a yard and a house. We'll have to see what the future holds," he concluded.

Miles reflected on his father Clive Owen's gradual withdrawal from active farming duties, noting the increased need for his own participation at home, reports Devon Live. He detailed his farm responsibilities, "I really enjoyed growing up on the farm. One of my jobs was doing the chickens, collecting the eggs, looking after them, and feeding them. I'm doing more work with the cows and the sheep at the moment," as reported by Gloucestershire Live. Discussing his career objectives, Miles said, "I've talked to Reuben about the digging side and me helping more, getting more involved with his company, which I wouldn't mind at all." Still, he stressed the importance of balance: "But, I've got to balance it, because dad's getting on and he's slowing down a bit." Further illustrating his commitment, he added, "So, I've got to help dad when it's needed and I can't leave him to manage. Then, when Reuben needs it and he gets stuck, I need to go and help him." In a previous episode of Our Farm Next Door, Clive also spoke candidly about stepping back to let his sons take the reins. Acknowledging the march of time, he admitted that age had taken its toll. "The kids grow up and become men. I am getting older, and I am not as strong as I used to be so yeah, it is good that these young guys take over," he expressed with a hint of resignation. Embracing the inevitable transition, Clive said, "It's time to pass on the baton and let them do more and more, and that is how it is." He added with a touch of humour, "I am here to watch over them and annoy them, and we will get there in the end."

Lorraine Kelly taken aback as Amanda Owen makes foul-mouthed swipe at ex-husband Clive
Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen did not hold back as she jokingly ranted about ex-husband Clive during an appearance on Lorraine on Wednesday morning. Amanda Owen left Lorraine Kelly stunned with a candid and somewhat irreverent remark about her ex-husband Clive as she opened up about raising their nine children together. Their children are Raven, 23, Reuben, 21, Miles, 18, Edith, 16, Violet, 14, Sidney, 13, Annas, 11, Clemmy, nine, and Nancy, eight. The 50 year old shepherdess and Clive parted ways three years ago after a 22-year marriage. Fans of Our Yorkshire Farm adored the couple, watching them and their children grow at Ravenseat Farm in North Yorkshire. Amanda, now starring in Channel 4's Our Farm Next Door, appeared on Lorraine to discuss her hectic life. However, the conversation took an unexpected turn, reports the Express. Amanda pondered, cradling a lamb: "Why have I got nine children? Because I never set out to have nine children. "It was never a big dream to have a big family that didn't come from anywhere. "Believe me, there was never a sit-down moment where we said, 'Let's try and repopulate Swaledale.'" She revealed that her children keep her spirits high and entertained during the chat. Shortly after, she confessed: "They run me ragged. They drive me mad." Then, she quipped: "I haven't got anything to complain about. Well, I have, obviously, Clive for a start... Yeah you can tell Lorraine we're in perfect f***ing harmony." Following her candid remark, the camera cut to Clive in the background, operating a tractor. Amanda shared: "I complain about him. I complain about the state of the houses. I complain about the kids throwing things everywhere. "I complain about the sheep that this lamb belongs to." Catch Lorraine every weekday at 9am on ITV1, with episodes also available for streaming on ITVX.
