Oxford Valley Mall shooting: Police in Bucks County release photos, description of suspect
Middletown police have released a description and images of the suspect wanted in a 'targeted' shooting outside the Oxford Valley Mall last week that injured a Trenton man. New surveillance video shows the suspect fleeing from the area of the SEPTA bus stop by the JCPenney store where the shooting happened, police said. After the shooting, the suspect is seen running toward the area where the old Boscov's building once stood, near the new Atlee Square Apartments. Additional security video shows the suspect before the shooting standing between the JCPenney and One Oxford Valley Building near the water fountain on his cellphone, police said in an update posted to the department's Facebook page. Police have described the suspect as a thin Black male younger than the age of 30 with dreadlocks and a unique walking/running gait. The 25-year-old shooting victim is not cooperating with police and has not yet identified the shooter, which has resulted in delays with the investigation, Middletown police Lt. Steve Forman said. Police have said the suspect and victim knew each other. The victim is home recovering from a gunshot and stab wound to his left arm, police said. The shooting kicked off a hectic scene at the shopping center June 19 after the shooting, placing the mall on lockdown for hours as a powerful thunderstorm swept through the area. The nearby Sesame Place theme park was also evacuated as a precaution. Middletown Township police are asking anyone who recognizes the suspect to contact Det. Suspect in Oxford Valley Mall shooting seen on video; victim released from hospital, police say
Police in Middletown Township, Bucks County, are still searching for a shooter who injured a man outside the Oxford Valley Mall last week – but investigators have found images showing the shooter before the incident. The shooting happened around 5 p.m. Thursday, June 19, led to the evacuation and temporary closure of the mall. Police believed the shooter and the victim, a 25-year-old man from Trenton, New Jersey, knew each other. Middletown Township Police Police posted a video and still photos on their Facebook page Monday night, showing the suspect running from the SEPTA bus stop near the JCPenney store and heading toward the location of the old Boscov's building near the new Atlee Square apartments. Before that, the suspected shooter was seen talking on his phone by the water fountain between JCPenney and the One Oxford Valley Building, according to police. Anyone who recognizes the man should contact Middletown Township police. The victim has since been released from a local hospital and is recovering from a gunshot wound in his left arm. Police investigating shooting at Oxford Valley Mall in Langhorne, Pennsylvania
Police in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, are investigating a shooting at the Oxford Valley Mall on Thursday. One person was shot at the mall on the 2300 block of East Lincoln Highway, according to police. The person's condition is currently unknown. It's unclear what led to the shooting. Police are currently looking for the alleged shooter. Dynasty Sports & Framing, a store in the mall, posted on Facebook that it will be closed for the rest of Thursday. "Please be advised, due to an active emergency at the mall, our Oxford Valley Mall location will be closed for the remainder of the night. We are relieved to learn that all staff and customers inside of the store are safe and headed home," the store wrote on Facebook.
